Design Goals:
1 - make use of different: head shapes, eye shapes, eye placement, eyebrow shapes, nose shapes, hair styles, ect to give each character a distinctive face.
2 - give each character some type of unique facial or body trait to help push the uniqueness of each character look and to push myself making design
3 - come up with a good verity of Male / Masc design even if it is a design that dose not full fit my own preference for Male / Mas designs.

Meet Orla, the Main Character of Horned Violets. She is the newly crowed queen of the Dracoden Kingdom, as she now has to balance ruling a kingdom, & investigating the circumstances of her fathers death all while having to deal with the difficulty of having 9 unruly consorts.
‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿
Orla is a mindful and consider person when it comes to her royal duties, as she very much cares about the going on of her kingdom.
While Orla take a lot of care to think through something once she has made her decision she is very stubborn to change it especially without good reason.
Oral has already shown grate promise as a ruler, but there are some concerns for her blatant disregard of cretin traditions as expectations of a royal lady.

Species: Descended Dragon ("Divine" sub-type)
Pronouns: She / Her
Gender: Female
Orientation: Bisexual - Polyam

Orla is equal parts mindful and serious about her role as a Queen, but is still very much naive and a bit careless when it come to her royal duties as she is still learning how to manage the kingdom without just relaying on others to do the work.
She is the kind of person who often takes a fair bit of time to think thought something, even if time dons't always permit it and once she has actually made up her mind about something she is very stubborn to change it without good reason.
Orla has already shaken things up a fair bit since she came to rule as she has gone for having a set of consorts rather then a single consort, this act making it clear that Orla would not just bend to what was fully expected of her to the concern of meany.
note: if you like something on my dislike page don't take it as a personal judgment, different people like and dislikes different things and that's okay. Just don't be a jerk okay : )
Just a FYI, but i'm going on brake from writing for Horned-violets until the new year.
X-mas is always busy for me and that is doubly so this year, so there won't be any new chapters posted for a while.
I also want to give myself some more time to think thought my plans for future chapters anyway.
Regardless I'll still try and post the odd thing here and there, also Asks are open as rn, so if you have any questions, critique or just thoughts to share on Horned Violets I'd love to here them.

“It’s Count Thane Ceilan, he's become terribly sick.” the servant said while trying to catch their breath after flying over to the trio of ladies. Orla and Sahar instantly stood up with Orla asking the servant “Is a doctor seeing him?” the servant answered with a swift “yes, and he wants to ask you some questions.”
Orla, Sahar and Blair all looked at one other with concerned expressions for a moment before their attention turned back over to the servant. “Then let's quickly head off now then.” Sahar exclaimed as each one took off from the ground one by one before flying over to Thane’s living quarters.
A swift fly over a few areas did the group land in front of the entrance to the main building within Thane’s area. Just as quickly as they had flown over the servant would show the trio of ladies to the room in which the unwell Thane and the attending doctor wore in.
As soon as the 3 of them entered the doctor turned to them and said “good, your got here quickly, I need to ask you something” Orla would nod at the doctor to continue to which he asked “What ingredients wore used in these sweets” as he pointed to the tray of sweets on a nearby table, with a decent amount still left over and untouched.
Sahar would be the one to respond by answering “those are Bonbons so they would all have sugar, syrup and coconut oil in them, the Brown ones have condemned milk, standard cows butter and salt in them. Yellow ones have lemon juice, the pink ones have strawberries in them, the red ones have cherries in them, the blue ones have blueberries, green ones have apples, and the orange ones have grapefruit in them.
The doctor nodded as his focus returned back to Thane who was currently unable to talk while the doctor was having a look at the back of his throat. Quite concerned Orla asked the doctor “Is he going to be okay?” Without looking back the doctor answered with "Luckily yes, as a servant got me as soon as they realized Thane was having an allergic reaction.”
“Allergic reaction, so that's why you wanted to know what the sweets were made out of.” Orla said thinking out loud. “Yes, and we’ll have to figure out the allergen as Lord Ceilean seems just as surprised about the reaction as you or I.” the doctor said as he then somewhat forcefully got Thane to drink from a medicine bottle.
Sahar thought back to what was served at the meal yesterday and pointed out “well sugar, syrup, butter, salt and cherries were all used in some capacity in the meal he had yesterday so it can't be one of those things that caused the ration.”
“Good to know, and that will help us narrow it down, in the meantime it would be best to have the leftover Bonbons taken away.” The doctor would add, thankful for the extra bit of info. Blair would pick up the tray of sweets and pass it to the servant outside of the room and told them to dispose of it however he saw fit and to take the tray back to the main palace kitchen.
From here Orla would move and kneel down next to the doctor as both Sahar and Blair stayed standing next to the room's door. Orla watched as the doctor was helping out Thane, and for a moment Thane’s light pink eye met with Orla’s worried gaze and his expression shifted to being more embarrassed, in fact Thane would have looked away if it wore not for the doctor taking another look at the inside of his mouth at that moment.
Once the doctor had confirmed the medicine was helping the swelling go down he started to put most of the stuff he had out on the small table next to him away in his bag. The only things the doctor left out was a bottle of the medicine and a note he had written out to which he read out “keep taking a spoon full of this medicine every 12 hours, until the swelling is gone or 3 days have passed.”
The doctor would then stand up as he said “With that, I’m going to have lunch, I’ll check again later today.” Just before the doctor walked out of the room Orla stopped him with a “Is that it? What about figuring out what the allergen is?” with him responding with a short “There is nothing else to be done for now, that will have to be solved at a later time.” as he walked out the room.
Letting out a soft sigh Orla sat at the stool next to Thane the doctor had been using as she started to talk “I’m sorry you’ve ended up like this? I would ask why you didn’t tell anyone that you have an allergy but it’s also partly my fault for not being thoughtful enough to ask in the first place.” as her golden wings drooped in shame.
As Orla looked down at the floor she missed the sad expression that Thane had shifted to, only having attention brought to it when he tapped her on the shoulder and she looked up at him. Orla was a bit surprised at the look in his eye, it was like a child who was sorry for doing something normal because they think they'd get in trouble anyway.
Just before she ask what was wrong Thane spoke up in a quite a somewhat muffled voice from the mild swelling in his thought as he said “I’m sorry that I made you worry and caused a fuss…” Thane paused for a moment before continuing with “I didn’t know that this reaction was an allergy and..” before he could say anything more Sahar entreated with a sharp “Pardon?”
Just as she said that the 3 ladies thought about what Thane just said and all came to the same realization. Orla would look right at him as she asked with a confused tone “What do you mean you didn’t know that this ration was an allergic one?” Thane shifted in place as his tucked in like someone being confronted for messing something up.
Now speaking in a shaky voice Thane explained “I just didn’t know, I thought it was normal for your throat to feel tight after eating citric fruit.” and as Orla listened to what was being said she grew very concerned, with Sahar & Blair giving each other worried looks.
Orla would take in a deep breath before telling Thane in an assertive tone “No, eating citric fruit should not make your throat feel tight, not unless you're allergic to it.” Thane went from looking right at the Queen’s almond shaped eyes to looking down at his hands as he responded with a sheepish “Oh.”
Letting out a sign Orla would softly say “No need to be ashamed, it's just that we are concerned about you.” Thane would look up at Orla before returning to looking down at his lap as he then said “I’m sorry, I didn't mean to be a bother…I” Orla interrupted him with a “Don’t apologize for that.” as she gave him a playful tap on the head.
Thane closed his eyes before sitting up straight, opening his eyes as he now was properly looking at Orla said “Sorry” again but this time with a mild smile. Orla’s expression changed to a soft smile in return.
Sahar who had been thinking for quite a bit took a few steps over to the pair as she asked a notable question of “How could you’ve not known that what you were experiencing was an allergic reaction, did no one ever point it out.” Orla who was equally curious about that had a change of expression from warmth of intrigue.
As the final moments went by Thane thought for a while before he answered with “I did think it was odd that my throat felt tight after eating citrus fruit when I was young. I even asked my mother about it and she told me that my body is just weak, she said that if I just keep eating citric fruit like normal and that I'll get over it eventually, and that complaining about it does nothing.”
Orla took in the words slowly as she swiftly realized that a child Thane picked up on the fact that the reaction he was having to a type of fruit wasn't normal and how his own darn mother told him that he’d get over it. She was actually furious at Thane’s mother for saying something so dangerous, that she found herself hating someone she had never met before.
Not wanting to let herself get too worked up over someone who isn’t even present Orla took in a deep breath as she looked over to Sahar, who saw the anger in the queen's dark eyes. “Sahar can you please go and tell the doctor and then the kitchen staff of Thane’s Cirrus allergy." Orla requested as her Lady-in-waiting just giving an affirmative nod before leaving the room.
Her focus back on Thane who looked a little shaken now, as she would tell him softly but firmly “Well, your mother is wrong about that, you have a serious allergy and it should be treated as such.” but unexpectedly Thane's expression was not one of thanks or expected embarrassment but the kind of expression you would get for calling someone's mother a cow.
Orla was actually taken aback by his expression, as she didn’t expect to see someone look so upset for being told that one of their parents got something wrong. It almost felt like she had done something wrong to him, and not just called out some bad parenting. For a moment Orla wondered to herself what Thane's family life was like for him to have such a reaction.
Orla would close her eye and clear her mine just before she would look right into Thane’s tired looking eyes as she calmly said “Look, what has happened concerns me, and I don’t mean to question your mothers intelligence but parents get things wrong sometimes and what your mother told you about your allergy was incorrect.”
Orla paused for a moment as she took in more of Thane’s appearance, as his hair still looked as unkept as the other day. She’d continued with “Thane…allergies are no small inconvenience, an allergic reaction is dangerous and to be honest be thankful that you got attended to this time. Okay?” as she then waited for a response from Thane who instead of speaking just nodded.
The room would go quiet for just a moment as no one quite knew where to go from here. Thane had quite a few thoughts but he didn’t really want to say anything about them. As for Orla she didn’t want to go just yet as she was still a bit worried for Thane. As she looked around the room she saw a familiar box on the shelf, she was pretty sure it was a marble board game.
Orla stood up and walked over to the shelf and pointed to the box asking “Shall we have a game?” Thane thought for a second before giving a nod and shrug as he said “sure, why not.” and so Orla took the box from the shelf and brought it over to the table next to Thane as she then sat back down.
It took only a short moment for Orla to set up the board with all of the marbles in their spots before the pair would start to play the strategy game. It only took a few turns for it to become clear that Orla was the better player out of the two. ‘All that time playing board games with Sahar.’ Orla thought to herself as her best friend was one of the most skilled players within the whole castle.
The pair would mostly play the board game in silence with the occasional yes’s and no’s from a player getting another one marble and a cut of mumbling from hushed thinking out loud. While the pair was playing Blair watched on from the side as she thought about what move she would have taken, and even trying to predict what Orla’s moves would be.
As soon as Orla and Thane wore deep in focus on the game, they wore then brought out of it as the sound of the room's door opening got their attention. In entered Sahar and along with her was the doctor from before, as he made his presence known by stating
“A citric allergy then, well now you know let’s try and be self-aware of it Lord Cailean.”
“...Yes, right.” Thane responded to the doctor in a sheepish tone. “The kitchen staff also know, so you shouldn't have to worry too much about eating something with some type of citric fruit in it.” Sahar said as she directed this information to Thane as he reapplied with a meek “Thank you”
Now that the doctor back Orla and Thane paused the game as she moved out of the way and let the doctor do a quick check up on the state of Thane’s throat. As soon as he finished the cheek up the doctor swiftly left with him reciting the orders about the medicine, and to be weary of anything with circuits in it just before he exited the room.
With that swiftly over Orla would ask “Shall we continue the game then?” but Thane just shook his head as he replied with “No, another time maybe, I don’t want to cut into your work too much.” Orla was about to respond before Sahar reminded her with “Your Majesty, I must tell you the palace decorators so want to talk about the Spring festival as soon as possible.”
“Oh, I see.” Orla said remembering that today's plan was actually going to be on the preparation for the Spring Festival, before telling Thane “We’ll play again another time, you rest up and get well soon. Good bye.” As she would gracefully leave the room with Sahar and Blair in toe. Thane would reply with a weak “Good bye” as a couple of servants entered the room as Thane let out a mild sigh.
Orla, Sahar & Blair now exiting Thane’s living quarters with Sahar now taking up the front as the trio made their way over to where the palace decorators wanted to discuss preparations for the festival she said “I’m sorry for stopping you continuing your game but the head of the palace decorators are a fair bit irritated today and wanted you now.”
“No, it’s quite alright.” Orla reassured Sahar that she was not to be bothered by it before adding with “thought, are you two also as concerned as I am for Thane, in regards to his mother?” Sahar responded in turn with “It does worry me a bit, but let’s try not to make any snap judgments.”
Blair would add with “Yeah, but regardless Thane seemed a little jumpy and meek there didn’t he.” Orla would reply “It’s not hard to notice but he could just be nervous being in a new place with people he barely knows, also I imagine he was embarrassed about the whole event.”
“That would be fair, I’d be shaken up a lot if the first ever proper conversion I had with the Queen was while I’m unwell.” Sahar added. “Mmm, yes but I hope we can spend more time chatting, and actually getting to know each other.” Orla said as she thought out loud.
Orla would receive a mild and playful nudge from Sahar “Oh look where did the girl who was anxious about if she would get along with any of her consorts go.” she said in a playful but supportive tone. “Sahar!.” Orla responded as she gently nudged her friend back before saying “But you are right I’m feeling a lot more confident about talking to the consort now.”
“Good, but you’ll have to act on that later. We've got work to do.” Sahar said she looked at her friend with a warm smile before turning away and picking up her walking speed as the trio of ladies made their way over to where the head of the palace decorators was.
As soon as they turned a nearby corner they could hear the raised voice of the head of the palace decorators who was clearly in a mood. Orla let out a sigh as she said aloud “this is going to take a while isn’t it.” before Blair asked “Shall I?” with a mild playful expression that Orla recognized very well. With a smile Orla replied with “Go on then”
Blair with a booming voice announced “Her Majesty Queen Orla Viola Carmine & her Lady-in-waiting Sahar Heddwyn.” with all the bucking servants including the head of the palace decorators clearly jumping in their skin as they all went. Orla and Blair looking at each other with smirks and Sahar just shaking her head in amusement.
Orla was right, though the rest of the day would be quite a long one of just going back and forth on ideas and plans for the spring festival. By the time that had been all sorted it was supper time and to which she chose to eat in her room, and after which she got settled for bed where she did ask herself which of the consorts she should see next.

Lore Note:
Not all Descended Dragon have Horns, Wings, & Tails. In fact the vast majority only have two of these traits, with them being one of the following pairs:
I've ran into a creative block with the next character, so I'm going to work on something else for a few days just to give myself some time to think on ideas and do something else for a bit.
Don't worry though Chapter 3 should be out before the end of the month.
I'm so happy to be past the first chapter, cus now that the introduction to the story is done i'm able to actually focuses on the characters and kick off there arcs.
I have the basic ideas for the next 11 chapters planned, and with chapter 3 currently a WIP
It's the morning after the consorts ceremony, and with a night of rest Oral finds herself awake much earlier then normal. One must wonder what the consorts got up to after she left for her room last night.

The morning came in with a cool breeze and warm sun, Orla woke from her slumber but it was only when she rose from her bed and opened up the curtains of the bed’s canopy that she realized she had awoken much earlier than usual. Thinking back to the night before, she did go to sleep much earlier than normal so it was little surprise that she woke up earlier as well.
Orla would stand from her bed with a stretch of her golden wings before putting on a light turquoise dressing gown that was hung nearby, over her white nightgown before she walked over to the door of her bedroom knocking on it and saying “Can you tell me who is guarding the door right now?”
The familiar Orotund voice of Blair replied from the other side with “It is me Blair Solomon and Sir Thomas your Majesty.” Orla was happy to know that it was not so early that the night guards were still up, and that Blair was up as she replied with a “Good morning to you both Blair & Sir Thomas.”
From there Orla would start on her morning routine by opening up all the curtains of her bed canopy and tying them to the posts, as she then did the same to the curtains over the windows letting in the warm sun light up her bedroom.
Next she made her way into her walk-in wardrobe and started picking out what she wanted to wear, though it was not much of a difficult choice as there was one outfit that she really liked at the moment. As Orla was picking out the items that made up her current favorite outfit she heard the door of her bedroom creaking open.
Popping her head out from the walk-in wardrobe she saw Sahar who had entered the room looking around for her. “Good morning Sahar.” Orla said sweetly as she stood out from the walk in wardrobe as Sahar saw where in the room the Queen was.
“And good morning to you too, I see you are up and getting ready I see.” Sahar replied softly as she made her way over to the entrance of the walk-in closet as Orla went back in to continue picking out the items she wanted to wear.
“Did you sleep well last night?” Sahar asked as she watched her friend from outside the walk-in wardrobe. “Yes, I sleep quite well actually.” Orla responded softly before returning the question with “And how about you?” with Sahar just letting out a tiered sigh in responses.
“Oh no, what happened.” Orla asks with concern towards her hard working friend. “Oh it’s just after you left for your room last night some of the consorts started getting rowdy with each other.” Sahar expelled doing air quotes when she said consort, earning a mild giggle from Orla before she would reply “Really already, not even a full day in and they are being petty.”
“Yeah, I was able to get them to calm down and leave to their own living quarters but only after I threaded to get the royal knights to break it up.” Sahar would add with an exacerbated sigh at the end. “Oooh Sahar, I’m sorry I should have been there to stop it myself.” apologized Orla as she walked out of the walk-in-wardrobe with clothes in hand as she gave her beloved Lady-in-waiting a side hug.
Returning the hug Sahar told Orla “Oh nonsense, for one I didn’t want to disturb you and second it’s not your fault they don’t think I hold authority over them.” As the two stopped the hug Orla looked at her friend as she asked “and was that last bit something one of them said.” with a note of worry to her voice.
Sahar looked back at her with an upset expression before saying “Well not with those words, more precisely he said and quote ‘I only take orders from the Queen herself, not her little Lady-in-waiting.” Hearing this Orla was quite enraged as not only had one of the recently assigned consorts insulted her close friend but also belittled her role and dismissed the authority she has.
“OH, and which of them was it who undermined you?” Orla asked with an underlying fury in her tone of voice. “It was Count Fergal Paige, but before you jump ahead I already told him off.” Sahar would reply with a warm smile. “Oh, how did he take it?” Orla asked curiously with a lingering bit of frustration.
“He pouted like a child, and just left muting under his breath. The other consorts got a kick out of it as well so I doubt he'll do that again.” Sahar said with a satisfied smirk on his face. Orla finally letting go of the anger of someone insulting her darling friend giggled as she said “I’m guessing you gave him the disappointed mother tone.”
“What better way to deal with people who insult others like that than with a calm yet very disappointed tone of voice.” Sahar said with a playful tone as she was now making Orla’s bed. “That’s one thing I admire about you Sahar, you seem to know exactly the best way to handle things without letting yourself be pushed around.” Orla expresses as the two made there way into the On-suit bathroom
“Thank you for saying so, though it can be hard sometimes.” Sahar replied honestly as she filled the wash basin with water using her magic “Aww, I get what you mean, It’s been way harder than expected to be able to put up a commanding presence even though I’m the queen.” Orla expressed her empathy on the subject.
As Orla waited for the water to be ready she asked “What was the argument that the consort got into anyways?” Sahar explained “I’m not sure what started it, but I know that Fergal and Kane, & Dion got into a tiff about how each other acted during the first half of the ceremony, though they did also drag in Oswin and Aydin into it as well.”
“Oh really, and how bad did it get?” Orla asked before she started to wash her face. “It was mostly bickering about how each other acted improperly, and generally throwing around insults. Luckily I was able to deescalate it before anyone got violet” Sahar explained.
“Eug, that’s not good.” Orla said before rinsing her face with the clean water. “Yes, and I imagine they will still be upset today, and I don’t think any of them will be getting along any time soon.” Sahar added expressing her thoughts on how the consorts likely feel after what happened.
“Mmmhum.” Orla would mumble in agreement as she was now brushing her teeth. “Outside of that, the clean up of the meeting room went well and I slept comfortably.” Sahar said while Orla continued to clean her teeth, before she would grab a cup from the side and use the water in it to rinse out the toothpaste.
Now with face washed, and teeth cleaned Orla took off her clothing and picked up her ready to use body cloth as she did her morning wipe down of her armpits, breasts, and privets. Once done cleaning those areas Sahar passed her a towel as she then asked “So what are the plans for today?”
“I was going to visit each of the consorts but I think I’ll leave most of them for now.” Orla said as she dried herself and put on the clean strapless chemise that she had brought in with her.
“Oh, is that a mild punishment I sense?" Sahar asked jokingly. “Maybe.” Orla responded in an equally playful tone.
“But, I will be having a serious talk with Fergal at some point, as it seems he caused a lot of fuss last night.” Orla said as she left the bathroom to get dressed. “That is reasonable, let’s hope he remembers what you said in your speech last night.” Sahar would say cleaned out the dirty water now in the wash basin.
Orla would get dressed in science behind a privacy screen as she first put on a carmine colored high neck blouse made of Wyrm Shed, a dark carmine base hangerock, then a shorter carmine red strapless hangerock, next was a pair of golden brooches with strings of obsidian beads connecting the pair. The brooches pinned the strapless hangrock to the base one.
Almost fully dressed for the day, Orla walked away from the privacy screen with a few items in hand as she took her seat at the dressing table, as a servant with her breakfast entered and placed it on the sitting area next to one of the windows with Blair in toe.
Blair would wait by the door of the bedroom, as Sahar exited the bathroom now that she was done cleaning the wash basin and body cloth. As Orla put her shoes on she asked Blair “Anything from the guards about the consorts?”
“Outside of an augment after the ceremony, no I have yet to hear anything.” Blair answered before asking “Why, is there anything you are concerned about.” Now putting on her sash with the family symbol of a line of 5 Viola Carmine Roses down the middle Orla replied with “Just wondering that is all.”
“Ah I see, and I presume Sahar told you about what happened last night already?” Balir responded as she checked if her friend had already been informed of last night's tiff between the consorts. “Yes, for now I’ll continue on with other things and let the consort think about what happened.” Orla said sweetly as she made the final adjustment to the sash.
“Yeah that makes sense, though do you think they will take your lack of visiting as a punishment and not you just being shy or busy?” Blair asked, pointing out a mild flaw in her idea. “Mmm, yes you are right there. I guess I’d have to make it more clear that I’m unhappy with them.” Orla expressed as she was putting her golden Torc on.
Orla started to ponder to herself how she could get across that she was upset with those who got involved in the argument last night before Sahar would suggest “you could always send over a servant with some treats to the consorts who behaved, as it would quickly become clear that those who didn’t get a gift wore the ones who caused a fuss.”
“That is a clever idea, and it rewards those who behaved as well.” Orla said as she found it a good suggestion. “Like how the old caption of the guards would give those of us who did good let us have extra meat in our dinners.” Blair added as she was reminded of her time when she was still training.
Now with Sahar brushing her hair like usual, Orla said “Well, then tell my butler that a tray of sweets should be taken to…” she then started to trail off before asking Sahar “Remind me who was part of the fight again." with Sahar calmly responding with “Fergal, Oswin, Kane, Dion & Aydin.”
“Oh so that only leaves, Grant, Cadell, Idris & Thane was it.” Orla said as she hoped she remembered each of their names correctly. “Yes, it is. A shame more of them got involved then not.” Sahar responded while focusing on brushing out Orla collar bone length hair.
“Right, well then we’ll ask the butler that Grant, Cadell, Idris and Thane are to receive a tray of sweets.” Orla said as she sat still with her straight hair being brushed. Sahar would hum in acknowledgement before asking “is there any messages you want to be sent with the sweets?”
Orla thought about the question for a moment before she would answer with “No, they should be able to get the message from receiving some sweets.” Now finished with brushing Orla’s hair Sahar asked her friend “Shall I tell the butler now then?” with Orla quickly answering “No, that can wait for a bit later.”
Hair now brushed Orla looked at the make up on her dressing table as she pondered what she would put on today, sticking to what she liked a lot she picked up a pot of dark carmine red lip paint, took the lid off and used a dedicated make-up brush to apply it to her middle area of her bottom lip.
Clothing on, hair brushed and lip make-up on the only thing missing was some kind of crown, instead of the formal crown that she wore for the ceremony yesterday she instead wore a pair of golden horn bands that were connected by a chain and a few adornments that rested on the head.
Now ready for the day ahead she stood from the chair and turned to Sahar & Blair as she asked them “How soon would breakfast be?” as she realized that she had started her morning routine way earlier than expected.
“Usually you would have breakfast about 50 minutes from now, but I can ask the kitchen staff to get your food ready asap.” Sahar explained with Orla kindly responding with “Oh don’t worry about that, I can wait, in fact lets head out to the north garden, plus it’s been a while since I’ve had breakfast outside.”
“it’s the perfect weather for that today.” Blair said as she was looking over at the weather outside of the window from where she was standing. “She’s right, it is a lovely day to be out in the gardens.” Sahar said as she too liked the idea.
“Well, in that case today will be a day out in the gardens.” Orla said with glee as she was happy the weather was starting to get nice enough for time out in the gardens. So the trio left Orla’s room, and made their way out to the royal gardens.
Now in the north garden Orla would take time to admire the trees whose leaves were budding and tiny little blossom buds were starting to develop. The next set of moments went on with little words as the Queen admired the gardens, Blair watched attentively and Sahar was discussing things with some of the gardeners.
After a while Orla chose to take a seat at a gazebo, with Blair standing nearby, before Sahar would softly ask “Shall I let the kitchen staff know you will want breakfast here?” reply with a serene tone Orla said “Yes, thank you. Oh and please can you let the butler know about the sweets as well?”
“Of course, see you in a moment.” Sahar answered with Orla telling her “And you too.” as Sahar left to make her way over to the kitchen. A moment of silence would pass before Orla would ask “What do you think of the consorts Blair?”
Blair would think for a few seconds before answering with a clear “I think they all have things they need to work on, but I would not be surprised that many of them wore just off due to their own anxieties, so honestly I don’t know what to think.”
“Mmmm, Guess I never thought that their own anxieties about the ceremony could have made some of them act off.” Orla said thinking out loud before continuing on with “I’ll have to keep that in mind then for upcoming encounters with each of them.”
“It’s good to keep in mind that most first impressions tend to be messy and don’t well reflect people.” Blair said explaining a bit on her own attitude with meeting new people. “Actually That’s a really good mindset, thanks for telling me that.” Orla responded as she genuinely found that idea to be a smart one to remember.
“Oh it’s nothing, it's just how I’ve been raised.” Blair explained with a mild bush from the Queen's praise. “Anyway, are there any more questions you have?” Blair asked as to let it be known that she is open to answer any more questions Orla may have.
Orla would sharply ask “Which of the consorts do you think is most handsome.” thought this question was more to herself she was still curious about what her knight would answer with. “Ohh straight to the point, well in all honestly I’m not sure about that.” Blair would answer before adding on “Thought that may be because I already like someone.” as she blushed a bit at the confession.
“Oh?, OH! And does this person know how you feel?” Orla said with a quick interest in her friend's life. “No I don’t think so, or if they do they aren't interested.” Blair would explain looking over at a nearby flower bush.
“Ah I see, would you be comfortable telling me who?” Orla would request with much curiosity on who Blair was crushing on. With a soft shake of her head she answered with “I don’t think I’m ready to say it out loud yet.” seeing that her friend wasn't ready to say anything more yet Orla responded with “That’s fine, you can tell me whenever you are ready to do so.”
Blair would hum in acknowledgement, as then a moment of quiet would hit before Blair would speak up with a self-reflective “I’m lucky though I’ve got time to think my feelings through, you’ve basically just been handed 9 husbands and told to work it out.”
Orla would let out soft giggle before saying “Oh don’t worry too much about me, I knew going into having multiple consorts would be marriage first and romance later.”Blair would look over to Orla as she responded with “Well that make you much braver than me, I don’t know what I would do if my parents had me go with a marriage to someone I barely know.”
“Then again, that is the story form most women and men of noble birth isn’t it.” Blair added as she started to ponder to herself. “It is, and that expectation is double for those of us born into a royalty, my mother and father were lucky to have known each other quite well before they married.” Orla said as she thought about those expectation herself.
The pair would go back to silence as Blair kept a diligent watch of her surroundings while Orla watched nearby bees go about their work collecting pollen from the early spring flowers that are blooming in the garden.
A moment later Sahar returned and took a seat across from Orla and telling her "Breakfast will be here in a bit, also the butler is sorting out trays of sweets like we planned.” as she placed a note book on the table, opened it up and with pencil in hand she would continue with “I think we should start to plan some things out for the spring festival now.”
“Yeah, I know there's a few things I want to have at this year's spring festival, including flora flavored sweets, oh and the band that played the opening song last year I want them back but as the main band, mmm what else.” Orla would rattle off as she started to think back on previous years festivals.
“Oh I heard that a travelling dance troop from the east is in the city, we could check out a performance in case we want to hire them for the festival?” Sahar suggested as she remembered some chatter from the servants.
“That’s a good idea, and while I remember I think the main iconography this year should be Daisies.” Orla would add with Sahar responding “A simple flower but I’m sure people will love it as it makes you look more down to earth.”
The pair would then go back and forth on ideas and plans for the upcoming spring festival. A moment not too long later did a servant arrive carrying a silver tray with a lid covering up the breakfast to protect it before it would get to its recipient, the servant would place the try on the table, take the lid off and put the dishes of food in front of Orla before taking the sliver tray and it lid as to return to the kitchen.
In front of her was a large plate with 4 eggs, 6 sausages, 6 bits of bacon, a potion of mixed beans, 2 slices of black pudding, cooked mushrooms, and a portion of mashed potato. Next to it was a small plate with 2 slices of bread and also another small plate with pancakes with maple syrup drizzled over them. All of this food was paired with a tall glass of lemon and honey iced tea.
Orla would swiftly yet elegantly start to eat her breakfast as Sahar would continue the discussion on the preparations for the festival, with Orla stopping every few bites to add in her own thoughts about.
One very nice meal later with Sahar and Orla talking about upcoming meetings a servant who looked very frantic ran up to the group, “What is the matter my dear.” Sahar asked the servant with them swiftly responding “It’s Count Ceilan he’s become terribly sick.”

Lore Note:
- For those questioning about how much Orla had for her Breakfast I want you to know that the average Descended Dragon (the name of the dragon people in this story) is in the lower 7ft range and that with the addition of wings &/or a tail they need to eat more then the typical human dose.
We will actually be getting to know at least one of the guys in the next chapter don't worry, I just wanted to have a bit more with Orla and her friends together before jumping into the guys.
