Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but I realized this, like, my second time rereading motm.

He says shoot me three times, he'll die. Its basically a nod to the game, cause you only have three lives, get hit three times, you die, unless you have extra health or your playing with someone else to revive you.

Pretty sure @nortsauce and @flygutzz have said this already, I'm just too lazy to go through all the questions and responses to find it.

But I'm pretty sure this is a nod to the games mechanics.

Theory time! Myth AnT!

Nothing against Ortensia here, she's a mother who saw her daughter being held by two random people, and they are also wanted, she reacted.

But I'm not here for that, this:

It took me a minute to realized, we've seen this before, kind of. I might be pull teeth here, but;

Mug's hallucination look really similar. (Also whats with Cup and losing his right eye? Like cmon man you need that to see).

I got to thinking and thought that, maybe, because of that memory, where Cuphead nearly died with the dip, it stuck with Mugman for long. I mean, he did have a nightmare about it right half he got healed, seeing his brother with the bandaged eye probably brought up the memories.

Its probably why his hallucination looked like that cause, maybe that was the last time Cup died?

Mugs literally says they've haven't done this in years, again I'm probably wrong, just an idea.

But it would make sense that the most recent death is where Cup lost his eye, or even if he didn't die with the dip (Highly unlikely since its dip) he was seriously injured, and nearly lost an eye, that can leave a scar in the mind.

I was also rereading as I made this and found this page;

The main hallucination is always smiling, but these little ones here is showing Cup frowning, in pain, in shock. Very similar to how he looked with half an eye being melted by dip, he's just his older self then his younger self.

I just saw the new update, realized a day later that hold up, that look familiar, so I had to share.

Mugman and Cuphead's real names

So we obviously all been informed that in Motm that Mugman and Cuphead aren't their real names, mostly drawn to this page from the comic;

He says nickname, not name, so we know Cuphead isn't his real name either, we can only assume its the same for Mugman.

But as I was watching some tik toks, I noticed something that gives a little more evidence to this theory.

Look closely at the names. Around Mugmans, is looks like its been put there, like a sticky note. That's its covering up the real name. As in Mugs doesn't hear his real name, in his mind, maybe he doens't like it or he's just so use to Mugman he doesn't see his name anymore.

In the speech bubble and on the frame on the wall. Now this is also when Mugs is hallucinating as a child, so we can't know for sure how true it is, cause in the same flashback we have this;

Though the previous page does show some things about Mugs, seeing as he had himself as a hero instead of Elder Kettle. But I think is some solid proof there.

Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but its definitely the fist time I saw it and had to share it of course.

We also don't know what @nortsauce and @flygutzzand have planned, maybe they won't ever be reveling their names, but its a nice nod to say that they do have real names, and it can be whatever you want, but who knows.

If you're writing anything involving cons, scams, heists, or morally questionable characters who are very good at lying, here are some free resources I've been using for research. Saving you the "why is this in my search history" anxiety.

1. The FBI's Famous Cases & Criminals archive (fbi.gov/history/famous-cases) has detailed breakdowns of real fraud cases, Ponzi schemes, and confidence operations. The language they use is clinical and precise, which is perfect for getting the procedural details right.

2. The FTC Consumer Sentinel Network publishes annual reports on the most common fraud tactics in the US. Great for understanding how modern scams actually work and what makes people fall for them.

3. The Smithsonian's American Art Museum has a free digital collection of forgery case studies. If your character forges documents or art, this is gold.

4. Court Listener (courtlistener.com) is a free legal database where you can read actual court transcripts from fraud trials. Want to know how a real con artist talks under oath? This is where you find out.

5. The Internet Archive's collection of old newspaper crime sections. Search for "confidence man" or "swindle" in papers from the 1920s through 1960s and you'll find incredible real stories that would feel too dramatic for fiction.

Bonus: The Psychology of Fraud section on the Association for Psychological Science website has accessible articles about why people trust, how deception works cognitively, and what makes someone a convincing liar. Essential reading if you want your con artist characters to feel psychologically real.

This took me forever, I'm still getting use to drawing and perspective is biting my ass, but here ya go!

This is a Fanart actually of The Inky Mystery! I finished reading it, like, a few weeks ago? And one of the scene just put this imagine in my head and I just had to draw it. Even after finishing the Fanfic I was still drawing this and it just wasn't going my way for a bit there.

But I got it done and I'm happy with it.

I don't remember the chapter and I do not want to search through 400 chapters right now, but its the scene where Cuphead burned down the bar with the Weasel in it? When he was getting information. If you know the chapter let me know, I wasn't sure if I was going to draw this when I first thought of it so I didn't note down the chapter, sorry!

Cuphead looks a little weird cause this is my first time drawing since like...nine or eight years??? Man I haven't drawn in awhile. Basically when Quest for the machine first came out.

Anyway! Since getting into the Motm fandom, I have been inspired to draw again, since highschool. Don't expect me to draw often tho, I suck at it and have no patience for it, but if I get inspiration and draw something I might post it here, I'd rather write tho.

Just a little rant

Anyway, I recently been listening to this track of music, ya can blame Searching for a World that doesn't exist (Also something you should go and watch) and one of the songs they used just itch in my brain.

It was Mysterious Ways by Skrya. Love it to bits, but that's not why I'm here. One of their songs I heard reminded me a lot of Dyle in the comic. It has ticking in it and sounds ominous enough for the situation, thought it would be cool if anyone would, I dunno, wanna use it or not.

And I am working on a fic inspired by motm, its mostly one shots of ideas I've had. Most of it is Cup and Mugs time at the Casino, its a bit of a mix of headcanons, motm, Casino cups and the show Cuphead.

I need someone to do this!

So, I've been into Myth of the machine. GO READ IT! ITS SO GOOD!

Anyway. So I've been into it, and I randomly watched funny hockey players right? And my thoughts immediately went to Cuphead being an idiot as a hockey player.

Now I'm not artist, I hate sports, barely understand it BUT! I got a vision of Cuphead as an hockey player because of that video and now I can't stop thinking about it.

Specially motm Cuphead.

I would love for someone to see this vision with me and draw it.

Obviously Mugman would be a player with Cuphead, but for Bendy and Boris no idea if they'd be on the same team or an the opposing team.

I might draw something, ever since getting into it I've been drawing again but I'm not good at it so don't get your hopes up.
