Sunny with just enough clouds to not be overly hot. Even a slight breeze in the air.
It was a nice day for painting eggs—at least Bunny thought so.
Till Jack showed up.
“C'mon, I just wanna help!”
“Last time you said that, you set a fire in the Warren.”
“Aaaand I learned my lesson! I'll never be near a stove while you're cooking again—swear!
Plus, how much damage could I possibly make while painting eggs of all things??
AND you'll be watching me the whole time! Please??”
Bunny sighed. “Fine.”
Jack beamed.
Jack happily followed Bunny to the paints where a few of Bunny's googies were patiently waiting to be painted.
Who knew Bunny would be so soft and delicate with them?
It was adorable.
Bunny sat back on his haunches in the plush grass before letting one of the eggs carefully climb into his paw.
After climbing in clumsily, the little googie sat happily as Bunny picked up a paint brush before he dipped it into a cup of water then his nearby palette of paints he had ready.
Jack watched intently waiting for his turn. Hovering more like.
Bunny's ears twitched before sighing, “Here, before you burn a hole into the side of my head,” then carefully passed the egg in his paw into Jack's hands.
Jack happily accepted plopping right down next to Bunny before continuing on the half finished egg, adding his own frost designs as a final touch.
The frost swirled and glistened beautifully.
Bunny was impressed, “Not bad Frost.”
Jack smirked, “That sounded dangerously like a compliment, Bun-bun~”
Bunny scoffed though it held no bite as his own smirk gave him away, “Don't push it.”
Jack giggled before returning to the egg in his hand, “Alright, alright! But no take-backs!”
Bunny rolled his eyes before returning to a new egg that was just as happy for its turn jumping into his paw before plopping right down as he got to work.
It was nice, quiet humming for about half an hour. Then Jack finished presenting his happily, “Done!”
Bunny had already finished six, Jack had just finished his first egg.
Wow, Bunny sure was fast.
Bunny inspected the googie in Jack's hand letting it hop into his paw as it very proudly showed itself off.
Bunny chuckled, “Not even half an hour and already has your ego.”
Jack was about to retort that he had a 'perfectly normal sized ego' already pointing at Bunny, mouth open, when he heard a small CRACK sound.
They both paused before glancing back at the egg in Bunny's paw.
There was once an old story about a Pooka who grows a thousand arms. They call her the Bunnymund, and she is often used as a cautionary tale against the dangers of Cocoa, or more specifically, Chocolates. Though, in some clans, they revere her as a hero who protected pookankind against nightmare men. One thing's for sure when it comes to wee little Aster, he is going to study the shit out of those chocolates, growing arms notwithstanding.
I don't really have anything to say about this lmao. But I like imagining that Bunny's home warren in his homeworld is shaped like a massive egg where the half top is protruding from the soil. The top half is layered by terraces where they farm and plant! It should have been filled with flowers but I gave up on it too quickly lmao.
Bunny has a pesky little habit of vandalizing the white walls of the capital warren. Much to the collective frustration (and amusement of one father) of old, stuck-up pookas.
Where behemoths roam the Earth, giant insects fly across the sky of the Pookan homeworld. Butterflies, or what would be the Pookan equivalent to it, are a popular means of travel for them! They are essentially what horses are to humans!
In my head, Bunny is raised in a community that farms as a means of living. The entire warren is filled to the brim with all kinds of flowers made for Pookan consumption! Bunny likes to help out on harvest, however little he is.
veryyyy late day 2 drawing of bunny. don't draw him often but i needed to get this done <3
all sorts of berries were added! i also wanted to add a stamp design to the background because it's been smth i've been seeing lately and it's very cute!!!!
Snowdrops (Galanthus) primarily symbolize hope, rebirth, and the resilience of life, often representing a, gentle yet persistent force as they emerge through late-winter snow. Associated with purity, sympathy, and new beginnings, they signal the end of winter.
Asters in Greek Mythology
Asters get their name from the Greek word for star.
The main aster story features the virgin goddess Astraea, who represents justice, innocence, and purity. Astraea was one of the last immortals to live on the earth with humans, but she didn’t remain on our planet forever. Once she witnessed humans’ greed and chaos, she ascended into the sky and became the constellation Virgo. As she traveled into the sky, she left a trail of asters on the ground as a desire for fairness and peace. That’s one reason people view this flower as a symbol of purity and wisdom.
Another version of this story says that after Astraea left the Earth, she was devastated to see how few stars there were in the sky. She began crying, and her tears fell through the sky and landed on earth. When the tears hit the ground, star-shaped asters sprouted in their place. In this story, asters symbolize love, beauty, and purity.
Aster symbolize love, patience, wisdom, purity, faith, and renewal.

heh. I did it again. also yummm frozen blueberries are the besttt 🤤🥹
Bunny wanted to get ahead start on Easter but going from the most ahead time zones to the later ones. starting in Eastern Kiribati at UTC+14 as it is furthest ahead he moved from there.
Hopping from place to place trying to beat daylight was time consuming enough, bumming into a certain Frostbite helped none.
Bunny was ushering some of his googies into good spots that were well hidden, yet not too much, just enough for the ankle biters to still be able to find. "Hey Cottontail!"
Bunny huffed keeping his eyes on his googies, "Busy Frost." His words came out rougher than he had meant, Jack wasn't taken aback in the slightest. Knew how tense Bunny got on Easter, especially after that one easter years ago with Pitch.
Jack then moved a little closer, quiet compared to his usual enthusiasm, "Want any help? Or just company? You know I can keep up."
Bunny froze for a moment but quickly shook it off. "Don't need help. If ya wanna tag along that's on ya. Ain't slowin' down for ya ta keep up. Got it?"
Jack nodded now smiling brightly.
Sunshine. Bunny thought.
He quickly shoved said thought away and already moving to the next timezone. Jack easily kept up moving swiftly in the air with the wind.
Bunny was focused. So focus in fact that he ran straight into some rain, sky was dark now and not just from the early daylight hours.
Bunny paused taking a breath and sitting back on his haunches, arms crossed over his chest before looking up before trying to decipher how long it was going for.
His thoughts were short lived when he heard,
"It's raining . . ."
Absently he hummed, "Yeah. It is."
Bunny glanced down next to him. Jack had his hood up clutching his staff and glancing up at the sky in the same way he just had.
Bunny hummed before adding, "No dark cloud can forever prevent the sun from shining."
Jack blinked before breaking into a bright smile, "Heh, guess you're right, Bunbun. Behind the clouds is the sun still shining."
Bunny found himself smiling despite the deary weather before getting on all fours ready to dash.
"Ready?"
Jack took flight again. "Ready!"
Off they went.
Hope is always shining no matter how dark it might seem.
HAPPY EASTERRRR!!!!!
