Growing up, we always knew our family was different.
Not just because our parents are huge nerds, both in hobbies and by trade. Taryn and I would go to play with friends and wind up in clean houses with framed family photos on the walls and china hutches full of colorful dishes we had to be careful not to knock into. The wall in our living room was always decorated by swords our dad had made, mounted high out of reach, that we weren’t to touch, and crystals and carvings my mom collected from Renn Faires.
