Glass artist sterner studio on a Brussels rainy day βοΈπ§οΈ
This house would be perfect for a cookie box design πͺπ
Fun fact: this Eclectic style house once served as the grand entrance to Georges de Saint Cyrβs hidden greenhouses. A small house with a big personality.
Find it at: Avenue Clays 67, Schaerbeek
Architect: Georges LΓ©onard de Saint Cyr, 1900
HΓ΄tel Tassel β¨ (1894)
Designed by Victor Horta in widely considered one of the first true Art Nouveau buildings in the world. What love drawing most is the ironwork and stained glass window.
The vibe of this building for me is steady and timeless.
A new illustration from my upcoming Victor Horta print series.
Here I tried capturing a typical day walking in Brussels, where old meets young, where the sun can quickly become rain, so dressing for every weather pattern is necessary. Where architecture meets fashion. And always in the company of those you love π§‘
Why not stop at Horta Museum and enjoy some architecture, beauty and history?
LΓ©ona cafΓ© in its full glory! Perfect spot for coffee, lunch and weekend brunch π§‘
When I saw this house on my Instagram feed, I had to draw it for its colors, something Brussels could use more off!
What you need to know about this house? Built around 1910, this eclectic faΓ§ade plays with asymmetry, shifting volumes, and layers of detail. Look closer and youβll spot floral sgraffito inspired by Art Nouveau, ironwork balconies, and a beautifully roofline.
Itβs the kind of house that makes you happy when passing by!
This is my first time illustrating people as well as the coffee shop and I couldnβt be more proud of the result. Thank you @le.cafe.leona for giving me the opportunity to showcase my art inside. I really enjoyed illustrating the lovely people behind LΓ©ona who make the best oat lattes and cinnamon buns πͺβοΈ
uilt in 1900 by architect Albert Roosenboom, this Ixelles house is one of Brusselsβ finest Art Nouveau housesBuilt in 1900 by architect Albert Roosenboom, this Ixelles house is one of Brusselsβ finest Art Nouveau gems, featuring sgraffito by Privat Livemont and pretty sculpted details, like the elegant mailbox seamlessly integrated with the shoe scraper. Classified in 1981, it later fell into disrepair and faced demolition, before being restored in 2023, with original door and window placements reinstated and the ironwork brought back to life.

Victor Hortaβs private house and workshop, built between 1898 and 1901, are masterpieces of Art Nouveau architecture. The two connected buildings served as his home and studio, with every detail designed by Horta himself.
Restored beginning in 1967, the house became a museum in 1969 and the workshop opened to the public in 1973. The building has been protected since 1963 and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.

On my walk in Ixelles I found this house and immediately loved it. What exactly? The colors of the stone and the windows, a stately house that exudes calm and peace.
I find this house on my way to picking up my package from a drop off store. Itβs a reminder that most treasures are find in hidden places. So letβs go out there and look around, you never know what you might find π
Build in 1923 by the architect Arthur Vandaele.

This whimsical illustration is a tribute to the genius of Gustave Strauven, a man who saw the world through an artistic lens and transformed it into something extraordinary. Built in 1902 for personal use, his house at Rue Luther 28, is a testament to the power of imagination and creativity.
Restored in 2004 by its current owners, this place is a reminder that creativity knows no boundaries and that we all should inject a little art into our daily lives π¨π°
