This semester we had a very busy time at the uni, there were no time to share anything here at the blog, but -as a final crazy task- we had to make a portfolio -another one- so that now I can sum up the landscape architecture related works of the last half year.
Enjoy soon...
Transforming Cities. Urban Interventions in Public Space
Incredible landscapes of Spain
With the College we attended this competition on designing a plan for the future. The main idea was a yearly upgraded public place for the annual newborns. Our design, with mid-scale interventions gave the town a low-budget but high aesthetic value solution.
Team members:
Noémi Sipos, Dávid Pozsonyi, Péter Ciprián Oláh, Miklós Hulej
Pedraza- Night of the Candles
Among friends we could visit the unique and amazing event of Pedraza, the Night if Candles. This tiny medieval treasure-chest town located some 80 kilometers from Madrid, and has this one breathtaking event of the year.
The narrow, cuddled streets lit by candles arranged in different shapes, its a really interesting felling, the visitor feels like a time travel.
Sadly these photos do not show the really beauty of the place, but i think its believable: Unbelievable!! :D
Campo de los Naciones.
Still a quite weird complex, the new, out-of-hell business and conference area of the city with raging examples of post-modern architecture. Well at least gives great play, next task: find all traveller on the photos :P
Telefónica the former communication center of Madrid, (and the first skyscraper of the city) now became a buzzing contemporary arts center, the original structure was kept in the building, with very nice contemporary built-on’s, like a huge glass elevator or this interesting stair.
Playing with perspective and lights, we could not get a move on to the burning heat of Madrid. :)
Yes, as I ve mentioned, it was a loong and really enjoyable summer.
First of all, we could manage to get back to Madrid after a half-year break, now to show around a bit, and naturally to learn more. Because its impossible to explore this huge, interesting city at all, but neither the famous stuffs. So one extremely hot week spent over there, reunion with old friends, some valley, infinite walking- in parks. And finally a new spot: Faro de Moncloa, a former broadcast tower renovated into a panoramic tower, amazing sights, and all the things I learned about the city before, just right in front of my foots.
As we came back to school-right after a long, adventurous summer and three weeks of intense field works, now I have to get back on everyday works.
First of all this work of us (architectural-landscape designer coo-production), a little café pavilion into a park, well if we look at it as a one afternoon work. Quite good :D
The only nation is imagination!
Streets of Madrid
The first four photos were made as homework, but let’s say it, I was not able to install any little render program to my Pc... so the quality...
But the last two renders were made for a former design, so that I shoot them here for another time. Project team was: Eszter Ripszám and Miklós Hulej
Here I post my in work portfolio, which is an InDesign trial to create multi-page documents.
As soon as I finish the whole one, I’ll repost it :)
Giving some visula results for my thesis: it was about the works of Laszlo Dalanyi, one of the best hungarian landscape architect of the last century. This chart shows his lifelong activities grouped into: design concepts, professional request, press releases, publications, travels and awards.
