Ike was looking at her and he turned his head quickly. “Right, I’m terribly sorry.” Ike eyed one of the apples and reached for it, wiping it clean first before taking a bite. It wasn’t meat, but it was tasty enough for him to have another bite. By the time Ilyana had climbed back up, Ike had finished three apples, consuming everything, even the core. “Ilyana, what are you doing in these parts, might I ask?”
This time, the mage stayed in the tree and tossed Ike the apples one by one. She paused before answering the other's question to munch on an apple herself, then answered. "I was informed by a few travelers that one of the nearby towns was celebrating this year's harvest. It sounded interesting... especially since it was the recent harvest that was being celebrated. "
Holding onto a single apple in her mouth, Ilyana more cautiously climbed down the tree. Pulling her hood up, she plopped down next to Ike and yawned. "What about you? Where were you headed before you found yourself lost?"
