HE’S DIFFERENT TO HOW SHE REMEMBERS. — older, with an even heavier weight bearing down on his shoulders than before. jo doesn’t completely know 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 she’s missed. there’s a lot to catch up on, when someone comes back from the dead, but she’s seen glimpses. little bits here & there that were shown to her when osiris pulled woman from peace in an attempt to punish; enough to know that whatever he has been through, it’s a lot. and yet, weariness aside, he’s also the same. still stands with a poise and speaks with a gruff that makes him so very 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, the one she used to sit at roadhouse bar with all those years ago. 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳. it’s how she knows he’ll let her stay, even before he’s answered. " what can i say? i’m stubborn. " it’s a trait she gets from mom. maybe father too, but his personality is a little harder to remember.

" her own tone lowers playfully, as if to provide an example while hand reaches out for the pack of beer she brought with her. they were meant as a bribe; a way to soften him up if he tried to tell her no, but now, they’re simply a gift to be shared between 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 as jo realizes bribery was never necessary. " as tempting as unclean sheets & creepy night guards sound, i think i’ll risk missing out on the fun and stay here instead.
