Didnt I say Sangwoo was using Bum as a substitute for his mum..well..

Im so creeped out lmfao. Mrs.Oh..youve got some explaining to do.

Besides the obviously fucked up parenting of the Oh’s somethings that jumped at me are:

Sangwoo looks exactly like his father. Furthering my original theory that Sangwoo is turning into his father and seeing more and more of his mother in Bum. However I feel like Sangwoo might be on for a rude awakening. Especially with Bum’s recent confidence boost. That discrepancy might be the trigger for the end of the honeymoon period.

Sangwoo’s mother has some of the weirdest parenting tactics Ive ever seen. Youre basically telling an impressionable child like hey..do whatever you want..I’ll support you. From a young age Sangwoo is being taught he need not fear consequences or feel remorse for his actions and I believe that had a major role in shaping his effed up personality. He probably picked up the charm from his father who appears to be (a)Handsome (b) a ladies man, probably having several affairs. So Sangwoo probably learned that he can use looks and charm as a fascade for hiding his imperfections aka being a psychopath. That coupled with his mother never teaching him about repercussions equaled the Sangwoo today who strongly believes he can get away with anything as long as he has his wit and charm. He probably is using Bum to strengthen this view. Which is probably why he frequently tests Bums feelings for him. Will Bum be who his mother was? Undying devotion and support no matter what he does? Thats what he wants. Also lady..telling your kid to do as he wants probably led him to murdering you too. I get the feeling her last words for him were something along the lines of what she says in the picture above..

I couldnt make out the blurry Korean in the part before this but seeing the reaction his mother had to it and coupled with this photo, it seems Sangwoo had begun to show his resemblence to his father in terms of his personality too. Im assuming he probably said something kinda twisted. Notice how this is the part where Mrs.Oh no longer sees her sons face clearly. And I think this triggered her killing his father. Im certain the man is dead especially cuz shes hallucinating dancing with him all wedding-style. And I think after this is when Sangwoos mother probably drove them to the mountains to bury the body.

This may not be anything but Sangwoo started locking his door after his mother spent the night in his room. Ofcourse it may also be related to him having grown up a little but alot of the stuff his mother does is weird af. If Sangwoo is in middle school when he gets sick, hes roughly 12~13years old. No mrs.oh..you dont need to change his pjs for him…thanks. I do think it may not necessarily have had to do with abuse but may also be related to Mrs.Oh thinking she is no longer needed. Her husband clearly doesnt need/want her and now her son seems to not need her either. Another trigger for her going totally off the rails. She was a very damaged woman who was extremely dependent on her son to validate her existence and decision to stay in an abusive relationship. I do feel pity for her but its no excuse to destroy the life of the poor, innocent baby who was so so confused.

I feel really bad for Sangwoo. I think his life started off okay. He had a good relationship with both parents until things totally went sideways and we ended up with the psychopath we all know and love.

This was a good chapter and finally gave us some backstory to Sangwoo. I think the next chapter may also be a continuation of this. Eegh this got long..heh ^^“ let me know what you guys think♡
