Hello there everyone!! I am known as Corgi or Ember and I write very silly little fics over on AO3!

Important blog lore:

This blog is almost completely things about AO3/fanwork/writing or In Stars and Time (ISAT). I have another Tumblr that I prefer to keep separate from fandom. For this reason, I will not reblog fundraisers/donation posts/etc.

When I first made this blog, I blocked a lot of people b/c my feed would keep getting crowded with non-ISAT posts. If you are blocked, this is probably why.

I am over 18, but for the most part, this blog is free of anything NSFW.

Memory of Looping (46K words, incomplete, multichapter): Post-canon, Bonnie makes a wish for the party to remember the Forgotten Country. They start to remember the loops instead. Do You Remember? (series): Stories concerning the island north of Vaugarde - both its disappearance and its reappearance a decade later. This ↑ is part of the problem.

The fact that you think it's okay to "headcanon" a neutral nonbinary character as transmasc/transfem and use incorrect pronouns for them is the whole problem.

By "headcanoning" Loop, or any other character who exclusively uses they/them, as anything else, you are erasing nonbinary identities.

PLEASE consider the implications of the fan content you make. If a character exclusively uses they/them, why do you want to make an AU that changes their pronouns in the first place?

Genuinely, ask yourself why you want to do that? What makes it compelling to you in the first place? Why can't they just be neutral nonbinary?

Would you feel okay if someone "headcanoned" a binary trans woman character as using he/him? A binary trans man as using she/her? What about shipping a canon lesbian with a man, or a canon gay man with a woman? If any of those make you uncomfortable, and this doesn't, PLEASE ask yourself why that is.

To be quite honest with you all I do think that aro/ace-spectrum fans in fandoms where people are desperately inventing crossover ships and humanizing non-human characters in order to have a conventionally attractive guy to ship the main character with, instead of possibly having to enjoy a story with no romance in it, have the right to refer to everyone else as cowards.

if you've made replies on posts there is now a tab on your blog showing every post youve replied to and your reply.

if this is not what you want, either go to your blog and click comments and disable it from there or just go to your individual blogs setting pages. just change it from blue to grey if you dont want everyone to see your replies AND the post you're replying to

PLEASE BE ADVISED that it is set to disabled for blogs that have not made any replies but it will turn ON if you reply with that blog in the future.! i just tested it with my main, which was greyed out but it turned on the moment i left a test reply

figured i'd get the word out bc i have not seen a single mention of this and i'm sure there are plenty of people who maybe comment on things they don't want on display for everyone to see on their blog lol. you can still look at your replies with it toggled off just no one else can, like locking the following and likes list

so for some reason this feature was actually announced on the tumblr engineering blog. interesting choice not to reblog it to the staff or tumblr blog, esp considering they asked for user input on how to implement it, but i suppose considering the response to the last update maybe the replies would be too overwhelming...

so couple of clarifications. comments are disabled as default for primary blogs that have their likes disabled. they are seemingly enabled for all other blogs that have replied to posts

posts you comment on may show on your followers 'for you' page if you leave your replies publically available. they may, in the future, show in on your followers dashboard if your follower goes to their dash settings and enables this. apparently, if your likes are enabled, your followers can already see those on the dash if they've gone into preferences and selected to do so, which I was unaware of, and that seems to be disabled at default, but it's possible i disabled it previously and forgot about it ig

rlly fascinating phenomenon to me is when a character is extremely popular, and that popularity seems understandable enough because they've got something interesting going on, and then you look at the fandom and realize 99% of their fans don't actually care about engaging with any of the things that make them interesting and instead seem to be fans of an imaginary milquetoast version that exists solely for ship and/or angst content and is so far removed from the canon character they might as well be an unrelated OC at this point

I was looking back at the dialogue in the game on the ISAT script project to double check some things, and realized that Isabeau really did not help the whole nobody communication situation!

Like during the Sus event, when he told Odile to not confront Siffrin until after the King? So once she finally confronts Siffrin, it is too late and he loops!

I know Isabeau could not have known, but still! And I wholly believe he helped convince Mirabelle and Bonnie that Siffrin doesn't like to be touched! With him being the most physically affectionate party member, I feel he would have run into Siffrin jumping sooner than our lovely, nervous Mirabelle.

I also don't think he is the type of person to assume one event is a pattern, but if Siffrin jumped at his and Mirabelle's touch, then I think he would have talked to her and Odile about it to try and be helpful, but Change forbid he ask Siffrin if that is true! I mean, he was just trying to be considerate, but damn boy, sometimes you have to talk to people! Even if they are avoiding talking about things!

Not to mention all the times he calls Siffrin out on acting weird and then lets it go with barely any effort! I get it was the day before the end of the world, and I am probably overthinking this like someone stuck in the same two blinding days for over a hundred loops, but come on!

I've actually mentioned this before and it's one of my fave things about him! <3 Act 5 is a SHINING example of this. Isabeau knows what Siffrin is trying to do because we see him say as much.

But as soon as Siffrin calls him out, he just replies "NUH UH" and ends the conversation immediately. Despite seeing the deflection tactic for what it is, he's unwilling to push any further.

This goes even further, though. If you look at Isabeau's sprites, you'll notice a pattern: he won't make eye contact when feeling any negative emotion (embarrassed, upset, angry). There are two* exceptions to this: sad5 and angry3.

*Technically three with the sad4 sprite, but that's only used when emotions of others are high, not his own. To list some examples: Mira's 3rd floor breakdown, talking to Sif right after Kingquest, Memory of Ghosts/Puns, and most of Act 5.

These sprites are only used twice and thrice, respectively, and the latter is exclusive to Act 5. And while the "sad" one doesn't actually seem all that sad, it's only used in two VERY emotional situations.

(Notably, before Act 5, Isabeau IMMEDIATELY tries to deflect away his genuine expression of emotion by putting on a smile. Look at my Fighter y'all we are NOT attaining healthy emotional regulation.)

In the end, Isabeau is so unwilling to cause conflict that he doesn't even want to confront his own negative emotions, looking away because he hates the idea of being too direct. And if you're not willing to communicate your own problems, what happens when you try to address everyone else's? Well, uh... *gestures vaguely at prev's points*
