they need to come up with more words like necrosis and miasma and mausoleum and cadaver and morose and decrepit and stuff like that just so metal bands can expand their vocabulary
snakes really make you appreciate how gross mammals really are. squamates are very dry and clean
a bird is a kind of reptile that has learned to be yucky.
Finding out Hans Zimmer is a transphobe genuinely had me falling to my knees
Thank you blastybaku for explaining this!/gen
If you've ever heard a movie score and thought "holy shit, this is incredible", there's like, a 50% chance it was Hans Zimmer who composed it.
This is a pretty major letdown, ngl.
Anyways, fuck transphobes, which includes Hans Zimmer, apparently.
Anyway shoutout to John Williams, amazing composer and probably the one who made the other 50% of "holy shit amazing" soundtracks (Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Superman, and incidentally the original Harry Potter theme and score) who famously worked closely with the first openly transgender woman to be nominated for an Academy Award, Angela Morley. He respected her, and so far as I can see, has never made transphobic remarks.
I'm not saying that if you dislike Korra you're a misogynist, all I'm saying is that when I was young and super deep in internalised misogyny and I first watched the show, I really, really hated her.
And then I rewatched the show in my late teens after working on myself and being in a generally better place mentally and I ended up really loving her.
YOU
ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!!!
I'd think the same if she was a guy, she would've probably annoyed me a lot more.
Also yeah, i self reported but i mentioned that i kinda like her a bit more now than before so in a way i was sorta agreeing. Sorry if it came out aggresive.
It didn't come out as aggressive, just that "well I haven't really changed my opinion about any of her traits but I hate her a little less💕" is an incredibly weird thing to announce about yourself in a post that alludes to the fact that misogyny plays a role in Korra hate.
I also just have a really low tolerance for people who don't like Korra at this point. I'm sorry but I don't respect "she's boring" or "she's annoying" as valid critiques on Korra or reasons to dislike her anymore. Skill issue. Do better. Get good, even.
I'm sorry then, really. I wanted to explain why i find those traits boring and annoying regardless of gender, to me, personally, but i realise my mistake and that it's kinda pointless now (and anything i say will only make things worse).

Has your Blorbo ever deliberately killed someone?
Yes. It was justified
Yes. It was not justified
Yes. Some were justified. Some were not justified
Not deliberately. They’ve killed someone. But it was an accident
No. They’ve never killed anyone
Every poll on this blog is about fictional characters only. This request was sent to us and we made a poll in response to it. Send any Blorbo-related question you want to our inbox and we’ll make a poll on which people can vote with their own Blorbos in minds
I suggest getting angrier about misogyny.
"at least be nice about-" no. Girl. Kill him over it. We're done. It's been centuries of this bullshit since time immemorial and he hasn't learned. Obliterate him.
The need of making highly specific crossover fanart of 2 characters from completely different shows is like introducing 2 friends of yours with similar interests :')
does anyone remember that one Tumblr account that was dedicated exclusively to hating on Jon Arbuckle
i remember

When people tell me they have "green" peafowl and paid anything less than $2k for them, I simply don't believe them. I've never seen a pure green from a reliable source listed for less than $2k. These ones are from a trusted source that got them from the only guy I would trust to have pure greens in the USA.
Green peafowl are endangered in the wild, and may not be imported from their native land legally. These ones would have been imported from Europe (or rather, direct descendants from European lines), as breeders there take better care to track their bloodlines than people in the USA do.
They're also extremely cold-intolerant, unable to withstand winter temps in most of the USA without a heated, indoor enclosure, which is why they aren't commonly kept outside of the south and California.
Beautiful ladies though!
