I'm so stupid I actually just realised what Tyranny has been saying to Wic. She literally means her Warlock pact is with Wic. Wic is her patron. She's a pact of the celestial. The celestial is literally Wic. Like his powers come from the bound angel that he is blood related to and so hers do too, but only through him. That's so intense. Anyway.

okay i know it's been days since the episode but i can't stop thinking about it

brennan is SO GOOD at horror. the whole time Teor was in the tailor's shop, especially the time after he gets led down to the basement, we're left to imagine what's happening to him. every clue tells us more but somehow less - the shears? the light? the slow revealing of the identities of the tailors? horrifying!! i can't even begin to list the horrors i was imagining going on in there!! and he didn't tell us shit!!

the reality of what was happening was scary, for sure, and also brennan SO EFFECTIVELY told a horror story by creating the outline of a terrifying situation, and leaving it dreadfully, awfully blank, so our minds could fill in all sorts of nasty before the reveal.

I’m really enjoying the old school shipping sensation of like cobbling Torsewell together from the scraps of a romance-lite improv show. Like it’s not crazy, there’s some rich material there, but we are absolutely polishing little twenty to forty five second nuggets of interaction which are imbedded in two hour long mosaics of an ensemble adventure. The final outcome is immaterial to me, its been a fabulous time rotating a handful of sparkly scenes in my mind and it reminds me of 2012 in a lighthearted way.
