@hyssopstick
Hey did you know I keep a google drive folder with linguistics and language books  that I try to update regularlyÂ
And this is tiktok we need
75% of the time if something is paywalled, fucking around in developer mode looking for a link to the real thing or finding and deleting the content blocker works like a charm
also if ur lazy like me or just straight up cant figure out how to do this without deleting 90% of the page theres this extention called Poper Blocker which not only.. blocks popups. but also has this thing called âRemove Overlayâ when u right click which works a good 99% of the time in my experience in getting rid of paywalls.

Just so you know!!
First day of life up until 6th gradeÂ
Jumped all the way to Freshman year of High School
Then I cut my hair Junior year, why did I do that
Slowly it started growing back and thenâŚ.
I finally felt comfortable to express myself (the picture on the left was my debut)
At this point in my transition I am 6 months into HRT
A year on HRT
Over a year and a half on hormones. My transition hasnât been the clearest path but I am so happy that I am on it.
Update:
2 years since my coming outÂ
2 years on hrt
2.3 years on hrt
2 and a half years on hormonesÂ
Its been a while since Iâve done an update so here it goes
At this point I am 3 years into my Hormone Replacement Therapy. Iâm thriving.Â
These pictures were taken days apart and I am 3 and a half years into my medical transition (The picture on the right was also posted by Instagram on all their major social media handles attached with an interview I did with them for International Womenâs Month)
During this time I was 4 years into HRT. Clearly living for it.
I am currently 4 and a half years into HRT, 5 years into socially transitioning, 6 years into when i first came out to my community around me and Iâm loving life more than I ever thought I would.Â
Lil mini update!! Itâs my 5 years on hormones and I think thatâs quite the milestone to be proud of so hereâs some pics since the last update.
Canât wait to see how the next 5 years go!
New Update!!
Today is my 6 years on HRT! Half a dozen years seems like it went by a lot faster than i thought it would but Iâm so grateful for the place that Iâm in both with my appearance and my perception of myself. I feel a confidence I never thought I could achieve.
me, every time i see this thread: oh god sheâs so pretty
me, still scrolling: oh god sheâs so pretty
me, at the end: oh god sheâs so pretty
Itâs the Basic Ball! A ball for the rest of the LGBT-cuties.
(A Black Lady Sketch Show 1.02)
Iâm screaming why does Mamma Mia fit every fight scene so perfectly ajkaslajjddhhajadkjfh
A cisgender woman gets escorted out of the womenâs bathroom by two policeman because she was wearing âmasculineâ clothing and didnât have an ID to prove she was female and complying with the law. The policemen call her sir and refuse to let her simply go to the bathroom until she can prove she is truely female.
This backfire of transphobic legislation only shows that bathroom bills are not meant to protect anyone. They are meant to punish anyone who does not fit strictly within their deffinition of a man or a woman often leading to sexist generalizations and assumptions to judge who may or may not be âreallyâ a woman.
so that one clip thatâs been goinâ âround from this series is PROBABLY the funniest part of it, but this scene is a very close second
The next time they tell you Americans are âhappyâ with their employer provided health insurance remember that that âhappinessâ is fueled by willful ignorance of what the alternatives are really like and fear of losing what little crappy health care they currently have.
A long time ago, every human had wings. When you were born, they were white, but they changed to all colours of the rainbow given what kind of life you live, from a light yellow to a dark blue. However, in this time only stumps are left, coloured in a muddy grey. No one remembers why humans left their wings, and no one cares anymore. That is, until a young man appears, seemingly without memory, with wings as tall as he is himself, fully feathered ⌠but coloured in the darkest shade of black.
Not to critique evolution, but I would think orange and black stripes wouldnât be as good for camouflage in a forest as, say, green and black would.
It turns out a lot of animals canât see the difference between orange and green! Elephants, for instance, have dichromatic vision (two types of cones, rather than three like most humans.)Â
Check out this diagram from ResearchGate. It deals with the color vision of horses, who are also generally dichromatic. (I think, though Iâm not sure, that zebras would have the same color vision as horses.) See how orange and green look to them?
Not to critique evolution but I think prey animals should be better at telling when their predator is dressed like a traffic cone.
It doesnât matter what zebras see, because tigers are not native to Africa and do not naturally hunt zebra.  Tigers are Asian and mostly hunt animals like deer, elk, and buffalo. These arenât animals with great color vision. They donât need to have it because they donât eat fruit and so donât need to know when the berry is ripe vs when itâs not. Good color vision is too expensive to have if you donât need it. Deer put their vision stats in a wide field of vision that is sensitive to motion, low light capabilities, and possibly seeing UV light. They donât have great color and lack a lot of acuity, but have a great sense of smell and good hearing. Thatâs way more useful if youâre prey. Deer see well in the blue end of the color spectrum and less well in the red. This makes sense because deer are most active in the dawn and dusk periods, when there is more blue in the light. Tigers are taking advantage of deer eyesight by being orange.
We see tigers are being obviously colored because tigers are fruit colored to our tree ape brains.
I donât know what the best part of this is: implying that deer chose their attributes on a character sheet, or the fact that we get to see tiger colors because they look like a snack.
Ok but like, I think you underestimate just how well they blend in when actually in the environment. Like, just using tigers as an example.
or how about a leopard?
Itâs called âdisruptive colourationâ because the markings help to break up the animalâs outline against the grasses or rocks. And the rosettes on leopards and jaguars? Sun spots shining through the trees and leaves on the ground.
And this is how hard it is to spot them WITH colour vision. Now imagine the above images but with the limited coloured mentioned above?
Iâm sorry but there is not an animal in that first leopard picture
Are you, sure about that?
âTigers are fruit coloredâ is my new favorite phrase.
Look at him go!!
