Yesterday, just before clocking out at work, I showed my coworker / friend a picture from my snapchat memories 2 years ago. It was a picture of me with sunlight on my cheeks, mascara on my lashes, & bright red hair color painted on my hair from the ears down. For anyone that knows me, it is EXTREMELY rare to see me without any sort of color in my hair 👀 This past year, I (maybe) dyed the lower half of my head once 😳 Why? I'm building a successful business. Managing someone else's business by day, growing my own by night. I tend to forget this. // When I showed her the picture I said "Look how pretty my hair was. It stinks seeing memories & thinking how much cuter you felt then." She rebutted with "...But when you look back on memories of today you're gonna say, 'look how hard I was working to get where I am today.' I set out on Saturday to get a timer, one of those old vintage kitchen timers ⏰ Something I can use to keep me accountable to my time goals without having to fumble with my phone looking for the stopwatch app. Especially, since using an app reluctantly keeps me more dependent on my phone when trying to work on my blog.⁣ ⁣ The plan was 15 minutes doing uninterrupted work, then a 5 minutes break (3x) which means 45 minutes for every hour is spent getting things done 💪⁣ ⁣ 🚫 I had no such luck at Wal-Mart where they had a white plastic one with 3 buttons (minutes, seconds, and mode). It would get the job done but I didn't buy it.⁣ ⁣ 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘣𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯. 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥.⁣ ⁣ I decided to mosey into the World Market while my sister and her sister-in-law looked in Buy Buy Baby. And guess what I found? A vintage kitchen timer in my FAVORITE COLOR (seafoam green) that was MAGNETIC 😳 // Side Note: It also came in Red & Copper (my 2nd fav) 🤎⁣ ⁣ 𝘚𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦, 𝘭𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 👏⁣ ⁣ It's the cutest tool on my desk now.
