The fact that ethnic features can even be considered “trendy” is like a direct result of racism / exoticism, like.........woc are dehumanized for their “exotic” features but white women spend $$$ on cosmetics procedures to emulate what we are naturally born with and receive all the praise from the same people that dehumanize us...
And when full hips and full lips go out of style then what? When “fox eyes” become last season whats going to happen? White women will go back to mocking these features, our features, the features we’ll have for the rest of our lives, and latch onto the newest hottest trend without an ounce of remorse or self reflection

I think it's important to point out that while white women often end up being the ones upholding racist beauty trends, they are also beholden to them in their own way.
The way beauty standards will fetishize certain features of woc has an effect on white women that I'm not implying is worse or equal to what woc go through. It simply exists and is relevant to understanding the full nuances of the social issue.

Obviously white women are not the only ones subjected to patriarchal and racist beauty trends that tell them they have to look more "ethnic". Pale skin, thin lips, certain bodyshape are not exclusive to white women, but those features are definitely correlated to whiteness.
In the patriarchal, racist world of beauty standards that either rejects or fetishises features of woc and considers white women the "default", it invents dangerous and unnecessary beauty trends specifically to "ethnify" them by the whims of a short-lived beauty standard.

Do you understand how beauty trends work? No one is forcing anyone to do anything. Society creates an arbitrary set of expectations for women to live up that aligns with patriarchal and racist ideals of what a woman should be.
Women are not the arbiters of beauty standards. Though some may conform to them and end up upholding them in some way, they did not create them and they are still beholden to them.
No one "forces" asian women to pursue skin bleaching or plastic surgery in the pursuit of western features. But we care about it because it's a trend based on white supremacist beauty ideals.
No one "forces" white women to tan or get lip fillers or whatever. But we care about it because it's a trend based on the fetishization of black and latine traits.
Society tells women to look like this or that based on frivolous whims. Woc as usual have pulled the short straw. That doesn't change the fact that all women are beholden to these expectations.
