I feel confused when people say that trans fems are being more targeted by the US government than trans mascs are. Most of the transphobic laws/actions I hear about affect all of us, and for the ones that only specifically talk about trans fems, there are also ones specifically about trans mascs (binder companies being threatened, bans on any person using any level of testosterone in sports). A lot of laws/actions do mention both, but only the part about trans fems gets attention. Even some counter laws/actions meant to protect trans people only talk about trans fems (saw something from Europe declaring trans women are women, nothing about trans mascs or nonbinary folks, can’t recall exactly what tho so take with a grain of salt).
on top of that, horrible laws/actions against anyone with a uterus are happening, which also affect trans mascs, but no one talks about that, only that they hurt cis women.
I’m tired of hearing that I should be grateful for my “privilege” and protect trans fems, when I’m just as terrified and at risk as any other trans person.
This is transandrophobia
