you wouldn't last a day in the asylum where they raised me
seeing "i am so sad there isn't a princely romance option like alistair or cullen in veilguard" comments is so funny to me because, while alistair may literally be a prince, both of them have such big loser dork energy to me (spoken so lovingly) when you first meet them that i must assume we have very different ideas of "princely"
Bull when you didn't take him to fight the dragon:
Listen companies releasing half-baked games that require paid DLC to feel complete is bad but can we all agree it was objectively funny for Dragon Age 2 to lock the only straight character behind a paywall.
How are we doing today ladies. Are we still losing it. Are we going completely insane

People always ask me how I learn languages! Well, I sit down and study. Sometimes I stand up and study. And no, there are no shortcuts. You actually have to engage with a language for hours to learn it. Even people who learn how to speak languages by speaking have to go up to other people and talk at length. Also, knowing how to speak 20 phrases you've memorized is not speaking a language. That's what people selling phrasebooks and premium study plans on youtube wants you to believe. Sorry. It actually takes years for you to become good at a target language. You'll just have to find a way to make those years bearable. Sorry again.
I don't like this but I love it at the same time. Isn't it beautiful that learning languages is a long process and you can enjoy it forever? I learn something cool about my native language every now and then. There's always more words I can ask about. I do that quite often, actually. "I don't know what that word means. Could you explain it to me?" And it's the language I've been speaking for twenty six years!
I still have goals for Czech. I want to learn how to use transgressives some time. And for that I have to sit down and study them. That's just how it is.
Sometimes having a reputation for being smart beats actually being smart.
I once beat my school’s chess champion in a game because he spent the entire match desperately trying to work out my strategy because I was “smart” and therefore good at chess.
We were playing with a Lord of the Rings chess set. I was moving the characters I liked best.
I’m terrible at chess.
you won that fair and square
a really smart person would recognizw you were playing some variant of the classic chess strategy, "I just like the horsies"
everyone has to stop making posts like "the world's loneliest ant has died in secret" its making me sad
the worlds happiest ant has found large strawberry crumb
do it scared do it stupid do it alone etc etc but don’t do it hungry. eat a snack first
Dreamy mood in the paintings by Henri Le Sidaner (French, 1862-1939)
- I should ask… do the rumours bother you? - I wish they wouldn’t disparage you. They don’t know you. - They know you even less than they know me.
