You are a yearner, a lover girl, just admit it. You are worthy of someone who will make you feel love. Someone so chalant you never need to guess or be confused about what is going on. You deserved someone who will love you, who will commit to you and who is sure of you.

I know I deserved that.

You are not weak. There is a resounding level of courage to be found in being the person who continues to heal, even when it hurts.

If you are trying to forget someone who was once a beautiful part of your life, the answer is — you don’t.

You don’t try to sanitize your experience, you don’t try to cut the pain from the bone. You don’t downplay it. You don’t try to sweep it under the rug or hide it away. Letting go of someone you thought would be in your life forever is difficult; sometimes circumstance gets in the way. Sometimes, no matter how much love is there, you have to lay it down. You have to walk away. You have to accept that sometimes you get too big for it, or you want different things, or you cannot pour yourself out for it any longer. And that is okay.

But if you managed to find someone who cared for you, who saw you, who heard all of the horrible and haunted things you did in your life and still loved you harder, still thought it all shone like gold — that is special. You shouldn’t forget that. You should be thankful for it.

She's just waiting for that one person to sit her down, look her in the eyes and say, "I'm not giving up on you, you're worth it. I'm going to learn how to love you right, and I'm not going anywhere" and actually mean it for once.

Deep inside, I know I want to fall in love. I can't wait to fall in love. I want to find someone who's in the same page as I am. Someone who will stay no matter what, who will treat me softly and will love me loudly. WHEN WILL I FIND YOU?! I'm definitely getting emotional maybe because it's valentine's day.

Maybe I have trust issues. Maybe it's because I haven't seen anyone stayed. But I know that someone out there will pursue me persistently. Someone who will be at the same page as I am. Someone who will wait for me. Someone who has a lot of patience. Someone who is sensitive enough to know my needs. I know that I will meet that person in God's perfect timing.

I really won't let myself fall in love at this point. Hold it in. Let him make an effort to win your love, affection, and trust that you know you deserve. You know your worth.

It is odd how you always do and say the things that I wanted to do. It feels like you're the extroverted version of me — more confident, more outgoing, and more vibrant.

We’ve become so obsessed with the idea of building with someone that we forget we must lay a foundation to grow first. Communication is important. Consistency is important. Vulnerability is important. Honesty is vital. Build your foundation on solid ground. There’s no need to rush. There’s no need to force something into existence. Let’s swim in each other’s waves and get to know each other first.

Let’s build a foundation so strong that when tornadoes threaten to engulf us, we can always fall back on what we’ve built and find each other again.
