i spilled pasta in my backpack and got so mad that i made a traumacore edit about it
Personal rumination
It's truly terrible to be in a circumstance completely unalterable on your own terms. I could leave. I have people who would open their doors to me. However, experience has shown that those are never stable situations and, more often than not, strain or break my relationship with the person.
It's frustrating being presented a choice and having the knowledge that it isn't really one.
Anyways, I'm building something here. I've got my temp job that wants me staying longer. I've got the raffle for housing. Even that aside, I'm going to go to school for a certification that will guarantee a job in this city.
I've never felt more tied to a place, and it's suffocating in that it's the only way I've had hope yet.
Like being smothered by a gas mask.
I live in probably the most dangerous position to be in, but every day I have to walk by roads and go to work like I believe in my own future. Is that right? Do I? I must because I've been going along with it. Or is that simply passivity? I do everything right. That's what I'm told.
I talk to my friends, my family. They're living in different worlds entirely. I have to act like it doesn't matter. Otherwise, they would feel estranged, and where would we go from there? Separate ways, I think. Until I can reenter their world. But it will never truly feel like mine.
It's scary knowing something has left you forever changed. Is it that I wouldn't want it any other way, or that I can't imagine anything going differently?
I have so many projects, hopes, and dreams. I've collected them over the years and they, in turn, collect dust and spiders. I could die tomorrow and they'll be gone. Some 15 year olds have achieved more actualization of their goals than I have. When I was 15, I was in charge of my parent. Emotionally burned out and trying to do the right thing. Here I am again. At least what I do now is for myself.
There is one thing I'm happy about. I'm eating out more locally. I want to find the best places to eat in my city. Food's always been a big thing to me. I've dealt with its scarcity for most of my life.
It's just hard to judge food appropriately when I'm grateful to eat at all. I don't know any of my friends that could ever relate to that.
It's exhausting to want to be known when it will only result in pity. Maybe I pity myself. Still, I can't stand it.
Pity is a barrier to sincerity. It taints my relationships. People misguidedly stretch truths to placate me, and I recognize it. I can no longer expect genuity. I wish people didn't care, but I'm desperate to think anyone does. It's a catch-22 and leaves me with nothing but heartache.
Even just putting this here is a bad decision. The more honest I am, the worse it affects others, and the more pity I receive. I'm no longer seen. I'm no longer here. Just a collection of misfortune with results shaped like a person.
I don't know what to do. I do the best I can. I can only trust by not thinking too hard about it.
A sibling called me cursed. A friend was surprised I'm not inebriated. Is this the honesty I crave? How do I outgrow my situation to be seen? Nearly 3 decades in a tomb, and no guarantee I'll leave.
That's what poetry and song are for, I guess. Understanding without judgement.
There's no conclusion here.
Never stay up late EVER

what if one day you opened tumblr and someone posted a picture of you that you'd never seen before and it was captioned like "okay we can all agree this is the worst mcelroy right?" and you go through the thousands of notes and everyone is talking shit about you by name. and youre the worst mcelroy now.
Dedicated to the asshole who stopped being my friend after I came out to him as non-binary after a year of solid friendship
Hot take but I don't think games need to tutorialize the player on stuff like "enemies will drop items when you defeat them" like that's just something that I can observe happens with my own brain. I don't need a tutorial popup for that. Stop it.
Fuccckkk I forgot about reallybig sandwich
maybe next year instead of amateur fireworks on every block for hours and hours we can try holding up a single beautiful flower

The Pax Silica initaitive is a joint plan involving the participants such as the UK, US, Israel, the EU to secure rare earth minerals for the silicon supply chain. This plan will involve opening up huge swaths of the island of Luzon to mining and special economic zones, displacing farming communities and threatening the food and water security of thousands.
Primer on the initiative from Philippine social movements:
To be clear, this is NOT a data center, this is rare earth metal extraction and manufacturing, particularly silicon. I'd actually argue that's worse because a single data center can cause a lot of harm but it can be shut down. Meanwhile, rare earth extraction could cause lasting damage including pollution of water, air and land, and habitat destruction.
The original signatories were Australia, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the UK and of course the United States. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pax_Silica
Currently the Wikipedia has a controversies page, though if that gets taken out it should still be in the edit history.

i cannot handle the posts saying prime morty is following in rick primes footsteps or he enabled good rick and therefore enables c137 btw. literally had an episode in the same season about how alcoholism and his own delusions of grandeur re: portal traveling snd the multiverse are the downfall for rick (ted) and that morty is just an easy outlet for the consequences. that 14yo is not in charge of thst 60yo in any capacity
I think this is true and as someone who has struggled to change the behavior of adults around me in youth, it helps to think of it this way:
If Morty wanted to force Rick to change, could he?
I don't think Morty could have stopped MIT Rick from relapsing and fighting Uli. Maybe he feels responsible for the fight scene we hear while he's lying in bed, but the truth is that I think part of his coping mechanism in life is believing he has that level of control. He could not have stopped the fight anymore than he could stop his own Rick from drinking, or even his own mother. He couldn't stop MIT Rick from shouting at his wife.
The thing is, the frame of mind Morty approaches it from is one that affords himself control, because he can't stand that he really doesn't have ANY control.
I don't fully agree with the people saying Morty's being toxic in order to get what he wants. He never made MIT Rick drive Uli away. Hell, when MIT Rick DOES finally break and relapse, it's the exact scene from the pilot, where he shows up and drags Morty out of bed to do something illegal. Did Morty really have a choice in that? I think he's fooling himself into believing he does.
Morty says he can handle 'messed up', but what's not said is that he can't stop 'messed up' from happening. It's part of why he refused to take a stand in the Snowball episode. Whether aware or not, Morty has come to accept his own actions won't change others, and he is powerless.
The only way he feels he has power is through fooling himself into believing pattern recognition is equivalent to his own intentions.
On another note, what separates Evil Morty from all the other Mortys is that he recognizes there's nothing he can do, so he leaves like so many people do from abusive families...
Say you break your ankle. You could know everything there is to know intellectually about the injury. Even with this vast knowledge, you will still experience physical pain.
Now take this logic and apply it to things like ADHD, autism, clinical depression, and other less visible/divergent disabilities. You cannot think your way out of feeling.
That is to say: you are not a bad, lazy, or selfish person for struggling, even if you know why you are struggling.
Genuinely, thank you so much for this.
