…about to get serious?!

It says something about both Othar and Klaus that Othar does have a mode where he drops the bombast and fancy fonts and gets serious enough to be sparky in the kinda menacing and ominous way we typically have only seen with the mad/evil scientists. it doesn’t happen, however, in any prior encounters with him- even when he’s in Klaus’s captivity about to be experimented on, Othar’s still having largely civil (or at least on-genre) conversations with him. It all implies there’s a certain level of threat/type of situation/kind of person that he cannot abide by at a much deeper level and while Lucretia(s) crosses that threshold, Klaus doesn’t. Is this an “we’re old enemies you and I” thing giving Klaus some leeway? Is it the fact that Klaus is willing to keep the peace in places he’s conquered, making him a lower priority threat than someone actively trying to destroy all the things right here right now? Does Othar have a tragic backstory caused by the Other/Lucretia(s) and that’s why this is hitting so close to home? (Lets be honest, if anyone in this series is a dangerous enough spark to make someone decide ‘yeah okay I’ve decided no one should have this power’ it’s Lucretia) I don’t know! But I’m really interested in seeing how this situation progresses!

Legacy numbers are really funny. This issue only counts as "Thor #800" if you delude yourself into thinking that the thorless first 82 issues of "journey into myself" are actually "thor" comics.

Sure, Journey Into Mystery eventually re-branded as "Mighty Thor" and kept the same numbering, but this isn't "Mighty Thor (vol.1) #800", this is "the immortal thor (vol.1) #14", and there's been like ten Thor re-launches between "journey into mystery/the mighty thor (vol.1)" and this series. Legacy numbers are silly sham

popular media has done an excellent job convincing the public that the job of an internal affairs department is to make sure billybob the baby murderer gets away so he can kill more babies instead of like. double checking that the cops are respecting peoples most basic human rights. which they aren't.
