While I tend to “like” a lot of fan art, I don’t often reblog it. This, though, seems to demand a reblog. It tempts me to touch that shirt collar so I can feel the texture of the fabric, and I love how the glass of wine echoes the color in the chair. There are just too many other lovely bits — those fingers, that gaze — to list. Gorgeous.

I don’t know how multi-shippers do it sometimes. It really is very hard to move from one ship’s headspace into another. At least that’s the case for me. I had to go open up an old Sherlolly playlist and read some old notes before I could get the Sherlolly gears going and start hearing the characters speak and form themselves in my head. Nostalgia is a beautiful thing and I think it’s that sense of ‘coming back’ that ended up forming the base of this story. as someone who works in the paint department of a hardware store i just wanna say that you are absolutely allowed (and ENCOURAGED!) to grab as many cards off the rack as you want so long as you don’t take more than one or two of each colour (they are free for customers but the store only gets so many at a time so please don’t just walk off with our ENTIRE supply of SW 7587 Antique Red cards)
