i think that theyres really a difference in how cis people use gender jokes and how trans people use them.

cis people make gender jokes like “haha I identify as a HELICOPTER” and it signifies that to them it’s ridiculous to believe that some people have different identities and navigate being nonbinary. it’s saying that they don’t respect us or they’re just ignorant.

when trans people make gender jokes like “my gender is hating high school teachers” it’s flipping the script, saying that they defiantly don't care about gender and don’t care what cis people think.

I also recommend the podcast What a Hell of a Way to Die, which is by two men who joined the military very young, (one of them was 17) and then became very leftist socialists after seeing it for what it really is. They cover a lot of topics like anti imperialism, military propaganda, fascism, and talk about all if it from a perspective I haven’t heard before.

They did an episode about this topic pretty recently, titled Recruiting 16-Year-Olds: Patriotic Child Grooming.

i would warn ppl before listening to what a hell of a way to die that while theyre trying to get out of the military they do focus primarily on the difficulties that soldiers face to the point that they rarely mention the imperialist human rights abuses perpetuated by it against the people it ostensibly defends the US from even in the most recent episodes. i don’t think their viewpoint is a particularly admirable one and i wouldnt recommend the podcast

The biggest of which can eat small mammals like mice!! It’s even had RATS fall into it!! (I will note though that it prefers insects, but is just able to eat larger prey bc of its size)

I could go on (I mean didn’t even talk about HOW these plants catch their prey!) But I think you get the idea.
