❀ you’re not from around here , are you? i figured because you totally just missed PHOENIX “NIX / NIXIE” ROSSI walking by. don’t tell me you don’t know who HE/HIM is? they kind of look like ANTONIO CIPRIANO and i could be wrong but i think that they might be 26 years old right now. they’ve been living in palmview for the last 2 YEARS . and i don’t know if anyone has ever told them this before but they kind of remind me of PETER PARKER from SPIDERMAN. if you stick around the town long enough you might catch them in action working at PALMVIEW ICE RINK as a VOLUNTEER HOCKEY COACH / NHL PLAYER. you see this town isn’t really that big of a place, some folks like to call them the GOLDEN RETRIEVER of palmview! they took a liking to the name too after a while, go figure. oh crap, they must have heard me yapping. they’re coming this way. i got to warn you though, rumor has it they can pretty OVERBEARING at times. i wouldn’t take it too seriously though, from the times i’ve spoken to them they seemed pretty FORGIVING to me. we see each other all the time since they live in that TWO BEDROOM | NO ROOMMATES residence beside me over in PELICAN STREET / CONDO #347. i better leave you to it. it was nice meeting you!

A LITTLE MORE .ᐟ
phoenix comes from a very loving, wealthy and well known family. he's never had to suffer a day in his life, well.. financially.. phoenix has been into hockey, since the male could say the word. his father is a famous defenseman, most hated in boston however. his mother, was his father's hairdresser. she was very well off for herself, somehow, she had landed the job cutting the teams hair for photoshoots. his father will tell you it was love at first sight, while his mother would tell you his father is delusional. they divorced when nix was 18, his mother just couldn't take his father's unfaithfulness. phoenix couldn't either, they have an awful relationship.
the rossi family, is a well-known name. meaning many people will just want to know you, for the name you carry. nix can see right through people now, he thanks his first and last girlfriend for that clear vision. she who shall not be named, dated phoenix just for what he could give her.. and her actual boyfriend. the entire time she was with phoenix, she was using him and sharing his gifts to her with her boyfriend. when phoenix found out he was devastated, he couldn't believe that he actually thought the relationship was real. she faked every i love you, they dated for four years before he found out. since then, he does his best not to start up a new flame. in fear, that's all they want from him as well.
phoenix loves volunteering at the rink, especially for the kids. they look up to him, he takes a lot of pride in that. he would never let those, little dreamers down. not for anything. he's a very caring and calm individual, only ever getting out of character on the ice. doing his best work of course, he's the teams favorite defenseman, like father like son. though phoenix doesn't get along with his father anymore, he still carries pieces of him around like unwanted luggage.
HEADCANONS .ᐟ
phoenix is a big sabrina carpenter fan, sugar talking being one of his favorite songs.. he's known to fully stop conversations if the song comes on and just breaks out singing.
he doesn't watch romantic movies, in fear he might want to fall in love again.
a classmate once mentioned his father in an argument, causing nix to crash out and hospitalize the boy.
he always has headphones in/on, he lives his entire life surrounded by music or the playlist he makes.
because he is the "fighter" of his team, phoenix tends to end up in the ER at least 3 times a year. not that he's a bad fighter, he just tends to take things too far.
while dating his one and only ex, he got the "best couple" award at prom.
theo being his most outgoing friend, mostly intoduces him to any new friends he makes, like quinn.
"honestly bro i wish we were on the same team, we'd be unstoppable." he mused, nothing but truth behind his words. he truly enjoyed being in the rink with quinn, he was such a good player. "maybe next trade i'll transfer?" he admitted, again nothing but truth. he couldn't help but think that together, they'd win their first stanley cup.
"i'd agree, of all the times i've bumped into someone, this has been the nicest." he had such a genuinely sweet smile, as if he didn't have any worries. good for him. "honestly, i've never watched a game, so i can't judge it fairly. hockey in florida seems paradoxical to me." she had a feeling she'd be roped into the stands sometime soon with all the hockey players she was bumping into. "so is a phoenix playing an ice sport, now that i think about it. but i'm sure you get that a lot."
phoenix couldn’t help but smile, she sure was sweet. not to say the others he met, weren’t, she just had this glow. “oh no? are you into any sports?” he asked, he knew hockey wasn’t the most popular sport. though he’d tell you it is, until he’s blue in the face. “yeah hockey in florida does seem a bit wild, but that’s the fun of it.” he paused, flashing a sweet smile at her. “who doesn’t like to watch sports in the AC, huh?” he joked, knowing damn well they all might be comfortable and cold, but he’s sweating his ass off on that ice. he laughed at her comment on his name, something he was very used to. “oh yeah, i get that all the time. i like to think an ice phoenix is a real thing, melting and starting new.” he mused, his tone just as sweet as his smile.
the mention of their last conversation gets a laugh out of him, mostly because he remembers how much he sounded like his mother, bringing up split ends and all. he's the son of a hairdresser, what can you do? “ been in the trenches at work, but i've been doing alright, ” his tone is mostly joking, but there's some sincerity in his words. “ how about you? ”
“i bet,” he laughed, thinking about how difficult it must be to deal with that many people everyday. he wouldn’t last a second in spencer’s profession, but not everyone would last in his either. “well you haven’t seen me at the ER in a while, so i must be doing pretty good right?” he joked, knowing damn well it was just his off-season so he had no reason to be in the ER. “i’ve just been volunteering at the rink, building legos, ya’know simple things.” he chuckled, his tone softer towards the ending of his sentence.
After a rather negative phone call with her agent, Cece decided that the only thing that would bring her joy was a taco from her local restaurant. After waiting in the queue, she sat at a seat by the window and went to take a bite. Instead of enjoying the hot salsa, the taco crumbled in her hand and the red sauce ended up on her shirt. Cece sat in silence for a moment, taking in what just happened. There was no way her day could get any worse. When she looked back up, she realised someone had watched the entire ordeal happen. "I'm going to need you to be sworn to secrecy for my own mental health," she tried to joke, standing to grab some napkins.
phoenix had been sitting at the table enjoying his food, when the blonde sat across from him. he had only looked up for a brief moment to see who it was, not recognizing her he had just continued eating—until the incident. he slowly shook his head, seeing by her face how rough of a day she was having. “your secret is safe with me, i won’t tell a soul.” he mused, his tone steady. it was always upsetting to him, when he noticed others were having a bad day. he always wished he could snap his fingers and fix whatever, or whoever was causing their misfortune. “rough day?” he asked innocently, unsure if that was the right idea or not.
lately, she had been staying late at work to finish some deadlines and get some of her designs she'd been meaning to work on, completed. " oh ! you've been to the fashion house before ? i'm always there. there's never usually a time when i'm not, so, that's 100% how you know me. " it was probably because she had been busy she didn't always remember who had came in and out of the fashion house. " it's nice to meet you, phoenix. that's a really cool name, by the way. " she'd say as a smile formed along her features. " i do work there, yes. next time when you stop in you can always ask for me and i'll be happy to help you. what do you usually end up coming in for ? "
"is that right?" phoenix raised a brow, acting surprised he was right about where he knew her from. due to him keeping to himself the last two years, he wasn't surprised she didn't know him. "thank you alyssa, you can call me nix if you'd like." he added, a small smile on his lips. "oh for sure, i will do that next time. i usually come in for suits, i like having a funny tie for each game that matches the suit." he mused, his tone steady. it was true, he loved having that lit bit of comedy that stuck him out from his teammates.
"thank you," she warmly replied, carefully taking the apples he'd picked up and gently placing them back into the basket. his kindness didn’t go unnoticed by her, it reminded marisol that the world outside her mother’s old warnings wasn’t as sharp as she’d been taught. “it’s okay, really. accidents happen. besides, even if they were a little bruised, that just means they’re perfect for apple sauce later." his admission about the ice breaker made her lightly laugh, immediately giving him a nod of approval. “don't worry,” she smiled, "i won't tell anyone. it's a clever ice breaker, phoenix. also, it's very nice to meet you too." hearing that he has been to food truck street only made her smile widen just a bit more, amusement twinkling in her eyes. “i feel like i practically live there sometimes. which food truck do you enjoy visiting the most?"
he had to admire how the brunette was able to look at the silver lining of things, others would be upset if their apples got bruised. "oh applesauce huh?" he couldn't help but smile, he liked how quick she was to think of what to use them for. it almost made him take a moment to think of things in his own life, that had a silver lining he might have just missed. "well if you do end up making applesauce with some, i'd love to try it.. since i kind helped bruise the apples." he joked, but serious about trying it. he chuckled softly as she said she wouldn't tell anyone. "well thank you i appreciate that," he mused, listening as she spoke of the food trucks. "oh really? honestly, i love the taco truck. i can't tell you how many times i've been there, i've tried their entire menu at this point." he chuckled, but fully serious. the male sure did work up an appetite, after her practices.
at the bump to his shoulder, he fell back a step, glancing over at the other, "don't worry about. crowded street." he gestured around vaguely, "i'm kieran. kieran vane. and... remind me of your name?" he blinked. he was usually good with faces and names, but he had just gotten off of a long shift.
phoenix smiled as the male in front of him said his name, "nice to meet you kieran. i'm phoenix, phoenix rossi." he smiled, his tone welcoming. "i assume you live around here?" he asked politely, a friendly grin dance on his lips.
arin was always in a rush, always busy, always the slightest bit distracted. so when she bumped into a passerby on her usual morning walk, she was hardly surprised. she half expected the man to berate her, tell her to watch where she was going. yet, he was warm, and oh so smiley. she couldn't lie - it was infectious. "that was probably my fault, but we can blame you if you really want to." she cracked a small grin, tilting her head as she tried to remember where she'd seen him before. quinn's instagram came to mind. "i'm aj. you're one of the hockey guys, right?"
phoenix shook his head, being the golden retriever he is; he insisted it was his fault and he had to apologize. "i really want to, i insist even." he let out a small chuckle, followed by a grin. did someone say hockey? "phoenix, it's nice to bump into you aj. oh yeah, i'm a hockey guy for sure." he smiled sweetly, "do you like hockey?" he asked, his tone soft. phoenix loves his career, he's always wide eyed and ready to discuss the topic.
“oh, it’s okay. don’t even sweat it,” marisol replies with gentle reassurance, waving away the apology. she had dropped a couple of apples she had been carrying in her basket, but she didn’t hesitate to kneel down and pick them up. “i wasn’t paying attention either. so, we can call it even.” she slowly raised back up to her feet, gently putting one final stray apple back into her basket. “i’m marisol. have you seen me around or is that just a really good ice breaker after bumping into someone?” the teasing was gentle and purely playful. “do you visit the food truck street often?”
phoenix instantly knelt down to help, collecting a few apples along with her. it was his fault they collided; he definitely wasn't paying attention. "still so sorry about that, i'm glad the apples survived." he added with a chuckle, rising up with her. she had caught him, it was his ice breaker. "uh well, you got me there.. it is kind of my ice breaker," he laughed. "i'm phoenix, pleasure to meet you marisol." the male smiled sweetly, taken back by how kind she was. "i do actually, can't beat a good ol' food truck after practice. what about you?"
really, it's his fault for not paying attention to where he's going, eyes focused on his phone's screen instead of on the path ahead of him like it should be. but he mumbles out a quick apology, picking up his phone from where he'd dropped it (no additional scratches or cracks, thank god). “ huh? — oh, yeah, i'm spencer. we met at the emergency room that one time, ” not the best way to meet a person for the first time, but he can't really do much about that. “ phoenix, right? ”
phoenix let out a sigh of relief when he saw the other's phone was okay, though he had the money, he didn't want the other upset. that's the last thing he'd want, for anyone. "oh yeah, spencer! hey man, yeah i'm phoenix!" he smiled, his tone energetic. remembering how he had mentioned his split ends, during their last meeting. "oh i got that trim by the way, how have you been doing?" he asked, his tone sweet like honey.
alyssa wasn't paying attention too much herself. which was probably another one of the reasonings as to why she had almost collided with the other. the blonde would cross her arms over her chest, moving her sunglasses up to the top of her head. " you think you've seen me around before ? is there somewhere specific you think you would've seen me or something ? " she would ask with a playful tone of her voice. " my name is alyssa. i feel like i haven't really seen you around much before. but ... maybe we have and i can't remember. " that could've also been the truth, some of the time she wasn't always the best when it had came to remembering names. " now remind me.. what's yours again ? "
phoenix's eyes widened a bit, taking a small step back. "uh well, kind of specific," he mused, his tone a bit nervous. nix was fairly good a remembering events, people, and small details about things or places he liked. he remembered seeing the blonde at the fashion house, where he gets his suits for his hockey promo tours. "i've been to the fashion house a few times, one of my favorite shops for season." his tone calm, as he warmly smiled at the blonde. "pleasure alyssa, i'm phoenix. i don't really have a memorable face, so.. but you work there right?"
"oh sorry to bump into you like that," he mused, his tone genuine. looking over at the other, he double checked to make sure everything was okay. "oh hey! i think i've seen you around before, what's you name?" he asked sweetly, his charm radiating off him.
