You say that, but Snow White and Prince Charming from OUAT, are an established couple and they had chemistry from the get-go.

Katrina and Ichabod is like Oliver and Laurel to me…two dead fish together, would excite me more. (Especially since I could at least fry and eat the fish) . If you have to describe it and tell us where to look to see the chemistry —there isn’t much to be had. The actors themselves are great actors, but together they’re BOR-INNNGG

Okay, I haven’t seen any of OUAT but I’m guessing they haven’t been separated by 250 years, demonic forces/purgatory, and can only interact via dreams and visions, and have had two scenes together in as many episodes? Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong here. Because compare it to other established ships all you want (though I know in OUAT you did see their first meeting/how they fell in love, which is still a blank slate for Ichabod and Katrina - we just don’t know) but it isn’t the same. 

Again, I don’t know who Oliver and Laurel are (is this where I put that these comparisons sound like chickens clucking to me?). And fine, you don’t have to be excited by something that /I/ personally ship. I’m excited by it. I see the chemistry and I enjoy examining what few, limited scenes we’ve been given and trying to piece together the puzzle. 

And chemistry can be subtle and be amazing. It’s not as obvious as Ichabbie, as I mentioned, but it’s there. It’s about reading between the lines because this isn’t a fairy tale romance like Snow White and Prince Charming may have. It’s more tragedy than anything. Tragedy intrigues me. If you can’t see it, or don’t want to, that’s fine. But something made these characters fall in love. He said she despised him at first, but he still fought for her and won her affections. And, as said by the writers and Tom himself, finding and freeing Katrina will be a major motivation for Ichabod. To be honest, if he could that easily forget about his wife and immediately attach himself romantically to someone else after everything she has done for him/is still doing for him, then Ichabod is not the character I think he is, nor do I think I would continue to like him as much. Which is why I anticipate Ichabbie happening a few seasons down the road. I could be wrong. We’ll see.

I understand I’m not going to change your mind. But it’s a bit rude to tag your opinion onto a meta celebrating/being excited about a ship and then calling that ship less interesting than dead fish. 

But that’s just my opinion.

I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it. I am just one of those people who believe that once you say it in front of me, you made it my business and if I want to, I am going to comment.  if you truly didn’t want comments or you’d be content to think it, but you didn’t. You posted it in public and that means you’re prepared for people who might disagree, and that’s not snark, it’s just me being me.

Sorry if you felt insulted, but I insulted the ship, not you. I don’t care if you bash my ship. It’s not that serious, it’s not like it hurt their feelings or anything……it’s just I noticed that you were literally directing people and showing them “where” they can find the chemistry and so I commented on it. Because if you have to point it out to people, it means it’s non-existent.

Actually Snow and Charming were separated for 30 years and had their memories wiped. Still when they appeared on screen for the first time, the chemistry was just there.

Oliver and Laurel are from Arrow. It’s his canon love interest, but they are so fucking boring, that I stopped watching Arrow because of it. I shipped Olicity from jump and so I don’t care how good Stephen Amell looks, when he’s with Laurel, he looks like he’s having the same pains I get from watching them.  I truly find two fish more appealing, but at least I can fry the mofo’s and eat it with some cabbage/collards and cornbread

Just because a love interest is “canon” doesn’t mean that they have chemistry. This is the case with Ichtrina….but if you love it. I like it…

I posted it in the Ichatrina tag after some suggestions (from Ichabbie shippers, and I believe you included) that we fill our tag with with things instead of coming into the Ichabbie ship and posting it (which I have never done). I know it's public and that people are entitled to respond. But if you are going to complain about things leaking into your tag but then hijack a pro-Ichatrina thing and tear it down... it's ironic and, as I said, rude. But you're still entitled to. Doesn't make it not rude. 

If I was so inclined like yourself, I might reblog one of your fangirling posts and comment on how much little I like it (which isn't true, because loving Abbie Mills comes with being part of the fandom). I'm positive I would be called out for that. So this is just me calling you out too.

And I don't personally feel insulted. And I'm not bashing your ship, because I also ship Ichabbie (why do people keep forgetting this?). Do you realize how often people analyze scenes in fandom? It's just something that we do and since Ichatrina has little material to work off of, it might be a bit reaching in your opinion. But it's not. It's me paying attention to scenes and getting excited about what I see. Don't tell me it doesn't exist. It might not to you, but it does to me and many others.

Besides, you continually post gifs and and 'hey look at how cute these two are' and that is, in a way, directing toward the chemistry. There's more of it yes because Abbie is a lead and Katrina is a side character. Which is great and beautiful and queen Nicole Beharie plays this role spectacularly. I would argue that right now, their chemistry is more brotp with  potential for otp. Because I read the chemistry differently than you do. Doesn't mean I'm right about how you ship.  Just like it doesn't mean you're right when it comes to something else I ship. We all interpret things differently. Unless you are secretly a member of the writing staff, I'm going to go with what I see rather than what you insist.

Thirty years is different than over two centuries. Wiped memories is different than purgatory and having to deal with, you know, saving all of humanity instead of reuniting and picking up where they left off. Ichabod and Katrina don't have that luxury. There is shit to be done and kudos to both of them for realizing that. They may have to put their fluffy loving reunion on hold (though Ichabod gets excited about the possibility of freeing her, so here's to hoping it happens) but it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Once again, you don't have to be excited about it. I am. I see chemistry. I believe it exists.
