On February 3rd, 2016 -  the voice actor Joe Alaskey passed away at the age of 63. While he was known for voicing the many lovable characters in the Warner Bros Animation Studios such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Sylvester the Cat, Foghorn Leghorn and Marvin the Martian- he also voiced Grandpa Pickles on Rugrats.

Thank you Mr. Alaskey for bringing life to these lovable characters (whom I consider my heroes) and playing a part in my passion. Rest in peace.

Starting my search for voice actors! This will be my first time looking into bringing voice actors on board for a project so I’m a little nervous!

The project is for Alive - my series pitch. My series heavily references Native American, Polynesian, and Melanesian cultures. So, though I will be deciding voice actors based on how well they fit the characters, I will also be trying very hard to find actors from the referenced cultures in hopes to better represent!

I am looking for: Sun - A cocky, wild young woman with the drive to explore. She is easily excitable and enthusiastic. She loves danger and having fun so long as she doesn’t have to face the consequences. She’s a bit reckless but protective and friendly.

Spirit - Wise and graceful, she is a natural guardian. She cares for everyone equally and holds herself with a humble elegance. She is methodical and dedicated to her family and friends, even if she can be a little strict.

Gluskabe - creator of “good”. Powerful being of order and light.

Malsumis - creator of “evil”. Powerful being of chaos and darkness

Not positive if these characters will show up in my thesis film but definitely planned for later installments in the series.

Tear - A kind, tentative young man that would really rather just play it safe than go wild and have fun. He’s a calm, level headed, peace-loving fella that will do whatever he can to cheer someone up.

Jade - a strong willed leader and guardian. She is quick to make assumptions but slow and collected to making plans. She is a natural born warrior, skilled in all forms of fighting and fast on her feet. Her only area that needs work is her ferocious temper.
