Hi there! Hope you don't mind the message, I'm also in Unova but I found myself in the possession of what I believe is the pre-evolution of a Lokix? I think they're called Nymble? Any advice on caring for them? I have a few other pokemon, my Banette shouldn't be much of a problem, she's a sweetheart, but I'm a little concerned about my Scrafty and Weavile? They're both definitely troublemakers, and I wanna try and make sure they get along too? Thanks for your help! (@phantomforces21)
I don’t mind at all! Nymble can be difficult to care for, but they don’t do a huge amount of damage- the problem is that they’re extraordinarily skittish. They can jump up to 30 feet into the air! So I suggest introducing them slowly to your ‘mon, and in a place where they can’t easily get in places they can’t get out from, but also a place where they can’t bolt! Finding an enclosed but largely bare space would be optimal, and then start out introducing them! One other tip I have used myself is taking my more troublesome Pokémon on walks or playing with them to help them get out their energy so they don’t scare the new guy. I hope all goes well for you and your friend!
Any advice? My little sister is starting her journey towards the local championship and instead of getting a starter from the local professor, she’s decided to use a Pokémon she and I have raised since it was an egg. The league said she could use her partner since it’s properly registered, but our town isn’t supporting her because our professor is throwing a fit over her not using a traditional starter. How do I explain to him that my sister’s Sableye should be supported because they’re a good team? Also, how legal is it if I stand on the side of the road and challenge any other kid looking to join the championship to a match so that they get delayed?
your town is weird as hell, plenty of people can't afford the specialized starters??? do you like somewhere like. insanely wealthy and catered to. i think they should get the sticks out of their asses, its stupid to think that everyone will have a certified starter pokémon.
ive seen people doing this all over on my way to work. just make sure you make eye contact with the trainers first so you know to battle them

I have a small business where I make Pokémon candies and I cannot tell you how many times a kid has eaten one. I had to make several signs that say ‘NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION’ to stop it. It’s crazy dangerous, you’re not going to get old enough for your own Pokémon by eating EXP candies you’ll just get sick! Stop it!!

i went to university with a trainer that insisted on using trading cards as their pokedex, like a thick-ass binder with hundreds of cards in it. they're a millenial so it wouldn't be a "too stubborn to move on from what you were raised on" thing either; electronic dexes have been around for most of their life and they've been connected to the internet for decades, and they still use the card binder anyway. compiling a card dex for anything more than one region seems like way more trouble than it's worth, yet they're working on a natdex with this thing. i really just don't get it.

Unfortunately, due to how bodies decompose, a creature the size of a Wailord builds up so much gas that it has a likely chance of exploding.
I haven't ever seen it, and honestly I don't want to.
The body of said wailord is. Well. They’re trying to use a pokemon’s moves to deflate it but. The Pokémon is a fire type.
Have I mentioned the gas is probably flammable.
