Hihi!! I somehow forgot to do a bio, whoops. Wellll, this blog is my main and will most likely be my spot to talk about whatever Pokémon shenanigan I'm cooking up in my head. I am an oc x canon lover and defender, if you don't like it, uh. What are you doing here? I do like canon ships as well and will hear anything out that makes sense, though I tend to be picky.

The focus of this blog started with my ScarVi player character, Cereza, and I'm definitely not finished with her. Her fic is just a monster to plan and tackle, so teasers and other posts about her might sporadically pop up here and there. If I write/draw anything, y'all will know.

I'm probably gonna use this as my writing dump and just mess around and have fun, I hope whatever I cook up will be as fun to read as it was to write :3

I won't do NSFW of minor characters cuz ha, nasty, though I can't guarantee NSFW things won't be mentioned (not in detail) just cuz like come on, we've all been teenagers before. I didn't just avoid saying the word sex until I turned 18, teens talk and they date, but I won't write anything of actual sexual happenings. I like to write realistically, meaning not too prudish but also not sexual just for the sake of it.

In terms of DNI, I mean. Don't be weird. I'm chill if you're chill. I'd say this space is safe for minors in terms of consuming my content, though I want to be abundantly clear that I prefer asks to DMs from minors, for safety purposes. I'm not a skeevy person, but you don't know that!! Internet safety, babes :> Aside from that, I'm chatty if it wasn't obvious already, comment or DM or ask, just chat with me about wtv!

I might be open to requests based on the asks, I like imagines of my own characters and/or canon characters so if there's anything y'all wanna see, I wanna hear it! I'll consider it! Zanka not being Kenough

I might get killed for this idc but it peeves me that Jabber and Zanka can't be enjoyed as individual characters. Being a Zanka fan and a Janka not-fan is hell actually, there is virtually no fan content of JUST Zanka. Maybe I just want Ken guys. Maybe it's Barbie and it's Ken.

Like, yes, imo I don't like Janka and I don't see it at all, but that's not really the point here, my point is more that fandom is now incapable of interacting with a character without tacking another character onto them romantically, typically of the same gender. And AS A QUEER PERSON MYSELF it feels really weird guys.

It's an issue I take up with fujoshis in general (which I already find weird. Why celebrate fetishizing gay guys, it may have started as allyship but it is not that now). It's so pervasive and god, I can't find posts of Zanka without someone making it about Jabber (romantically, I'm not talking about good faith commentary).

Fujos have horseshoed around to the 'hetslop' they so despise, dumbing down one of the characters (usually the more 'effeminate' one) to being a barbie they can smack on a ken, except its Ken and Ken this time. But that DOESN'T MAKE IT BETTER. They're still flanderized for the sake of a romantic plot.

And before anyone says 'block the tag' I DO!! And not only do I still see it everywhere, it narrows down the content of Zanka to 5% of the original amount. Ts pmo bro 🥀

Cereza is such a ridiculous character. She has a sick ass motorcycle dragon. She is 15 years old. She is the leading researcher on Area Zero technically speaking. She is going through the world's worst summer situationship. She highkenuinely joins a student union that turned into a gang. She runs from cameras. Her cousin is the Galarian Champion?? She is 15 years old. There was a rumor in her hometown that she was switched at birth like a changeling child. She plays the piano and has great musical talent. Terrible stage fright. Strongest Paldean Champ in history. At 15 btw. The motorcycle dragon has matching braids with her. It eats sandwiches. An opposing dragon killed her best friend's dad in a territory spat. She fights the AI copy of the dad to prevent a possible space-time disaster. She is barely 5 feet tall. She does back alley rally racing with the student union gang. Has a savior complex and a 'rage against the machine mentality' that are mauling each other to death constantly. She free climbs every rock face she comes into contact with. Still hung up on the summer situationship for a concerningly long time. This isn't even all of it gang. Oh and she turns 16 before fighting in a custody battle over the world turtle. Not the first time she's had to do it either. She didn't even want the murder ogre baby.

"Grace Ryland is Rocky's dog" is such a funny fucking dynamic when you think about it

Eridians are further behind than humans technologically right? They dont have computers, relativity, quantum mechanics, etc. In fact, Eridians probably dont even know about the Big Bang because their atmosphere would filter out most of the cosmic microwave background radiation we use to detect it. On a human timeline, theyre anywhere between like early-mid 20th century. Rocky's basically a cosmonaut.

So the human civilization is pretty advanced from Rocky's perspective. Rationally he understands this. On a conceptual level he knows this to be true.

But at the same time... imagine youre one of the first ever cosmonauts to make it into space. Then you meet a 10 year old alien dog who cant do 2+2 without pulling out its calculator. It forgets everything constantly and has to keep notes everywhere, like it basically lives in Memento (2000). Also if it doesnt nap constantly it gets even stupider. And you somehow has to reconcile this with the fact that this dog has a better understanding of physics than your entire civilization does. Like the dog knows how the universe started.

This isnt better from Grace's perspective btw. Eridians never developed computers, so all their ship systems are steered using basically the manual labor of 24 Eridians. Also theres no radiation shielding on their ship. Actually im pretty sure half the reason why Rocky is always busy fixing shit is because the radiation keeps frying all the onboard electronics, so hes always building and fixing and replacing components

Like imagine being a modern day sailor navigating the Pacific with GPS and strong hulls to protect against the raging ocean. And from portside you see like an honest to god viking ship. Except its made of some high tech carbon fiber material. But like, its still very definitely a viking ship. You can clearly see there's 24 oars along the hull where sailors are supposed to use to manually row their ship. Also the ship is leaking and theres like one little dude on board whos skittering around patching the holes constantly. Also this little dude is blind and doesnt know about water. Thats how insane Eridians look being an interstellar species without computers or radiation shielding.

Both of them thinks the other one is the completely ridiculous and absurd one and theyre both totally amazed at how far the other has come in spite of it

The Power of Friendship

I cannot stress enough how important Cereza's journey in Paldea is to healing her guilt from the Teal Mask, specifically her friendships with Arven, Penny, and Nemona.

It really goes to show the stark difference between Cereza and Kieran during their time away from each other. Cereza built a support system around herself to catch her when she falls, she goes through some CRAZY shit, but she has the friends that she's earned to back her up.

Kieran pushes everyone around him, including/especially Carmine, away in the time that he arguably needed it most. We see that the BBA League would be amenable to being friends with him had he not fallen into his one track obsession.

There's also something to be said about Cereza going on a multifaceted journey that absolutely WAS NOT just about battling. Diversifying her interests ultimately made her a more stable and grounded person in the end, whereas Kieran built his entire ego/pride into one skill; crushing him when he ultimately, inevitably, fails at that skill cuz he dumped all his skill points and inferiority complex into that skill.

This also manifests in their hair, imo. Kieran grows his hair out because he can't let go. Cereza cuts her hair off to finally signify growing past the little girl she was in Galar, that girl she was clinging to so dearly. Kieran clings to his loneliness because he believes it makes him stronger, Cereza let go of her loneliness because she knew it made her strength of character weak.

Yo yo yo! Highkey college has been kicking my ass ngl (30 missing assignments anyone?) and I've been less on my Pokemon grind cuz all my game systems are in my hometown :(. That being said, I've been way into Fossil Fighters and Fossil Fighters Champions as of late :D The dinosaurs are holding me together, trust. I've been working on my projects for those, not really for a product but just for me, y'know.

I will push through, the semester is in the final stretch and then I get to go home for the summer! Yay! Then I can work more on my Z-A team and story and all that jazz
