Yes, yes, Tom and Jerry and Charlie and Wonka has bad animation, we know that already.

However; Roger Rabbit, by this logic, also has bad animation (even if it’s extremely fluid with barely any pauses)

So animation tumblr, tell me again why Tom & Jerry, along with those other fluidly animated but perceived as “low-quality animation” examples like Hotel Mario are worse than stuff like the Lion King or Looney Tunes. Because apparently, it ain’t those weird lookin’ frames.

And television tumblr, tell me why nobody yells at Family Guy, the Jetsons, Teen Titans Go, or any of those other stiffly animated “trace the model sheet don’t take chances” shows, though He-Man, the Flintstones, the Simpsons, or the original Teen Titans get flak for their off-model risk frames. They’re funny, but does that also mean that it’s poor quality?
