I'm not going to introduce myself really because this blog is about Bucky. All ya need to know is I go by he/him and you can call me whatever really.

This blog is dedicated to my fic "If God Exists He Abandoned Me" (a queer and traumatic retelling of Bucky's on screen story) and all things Hydra Trash Party.

If you know what that is, welcome to my cesspit. If not...I suggest you prepare yourself for some of the worst fictional concepts you have ever seen.

Maybe I'm m reading into Bucky too much here but I made him anti military or at the very least anti his participation in the war in my rendition of the MCU. But despite all that he went through I think he would still let events play out how they did even if it meant he had to go through all of that. I feel like knowing he'd have a chance thereafter might get him through it.

However he also doesn't settle down at any point in the MCU. He'd have plenty of ways to live his life off the radar but still like a normal person and for the most part he chose not to. He chose to keep fighting. So I'm going to say yes he would.

No matter the cost Bucky is a protector first and foremost

My favorite hobby is making whumpee’s highly experienced rescuers traumatized and horrified.

Consider:

You’ve done this for basically your entire life, a veteran at your job? Too bad, whumpee’s state when you find them will haunt you for the rest of it.

You’ve been trained for things “like this”? Yeah, no, whatever whumpee’s been through is so much worse than that, that your training is useless.

yo! just dropping by to say its super cool to see a HTP longfic still being actively updated. i've been out of the marvel fandom loop for a hot minute but i used to hang out in the dumpster back in 2014 and i've lowkey been missing it, thanks for giving me some nice trash to roll around in.

Hey thanks a lot! I know HTP is really niche so I'm honestly surprised that anyone still survives in the fandom. But yeah it's being updates slowly but life often happens hah. I really hope you like what your reading and you stick around on this account or maybe even just the fic as it's getting updated. It's nice to have a vocal following even if it's only a few people

I was thinking about it just now whilst reading an off topic book about the fact that Bucky's hair was constantly long during his time with HYDRA. Even with cyro freezing it's not long enough for it to have never been cut.

But I was questioning why HYDRA left it long?

I mean he's already wearing a mask and goggles to obscure his identity and any potential trace back to HYDRA despite the massive Russian Star on his arm. But wouldn't a shorter hair cut, even a buzzed head be more effective considering it would obscure his vision and could be used against him? Pulling on hair is playing dirty but those are the exact kind of fights Bucky is fighting. So then why? Tactically it doesn't make sense

Unless you think about how physically abusive HYDRA was with Bucky and how pulling on his hair would have been very easy as punishment or to dictate movement.

My favorite thing about fanfic authors is they can identify any gap in a canon timeline where characters are offscreen and exploit the ever living fuck out of it

can we talk about how *chef’s kiss* it is when a character is in so much pain… or they’re just so sick, etcetc… that they’re breathing hard and they’re making a vocal sound on every exhale? like a hum, or a grunt or a whimper? it’s so specific but so good.
