If you do not know how pig latin works and would like to learn, I will be linking a post in which I explain it here at some point. Soon. This is just a reminder for me to do that.
☆ when I do make original posts, they will be formatted with the pig latin first, then the english under a cut. this will be one of the only exceptions to this rule!!! ☆
TIME TO LAY SOME GROUND RULES:
^(these are not "the correct rules" of pig latin! these are just mods personal rules. whether or not they are "correct" is. Unimportant to me imo im just doing this for fun sue me. I do think most of these are just how pig latin works though? Idk i havent read the rule book)
• This blog uses the "way" suffix as opposed to the "yay" or simply "ay" suffixes.
• The letter "Y" will be treated differently depending on how it sounds within a word. If it is used to make a "yuh" kind of sound (example: "yellow"), it will be treated as a consonant. If it is used to make any sort of vowel sound (example: "dynamic", "happy"), it will be treated as a vowel.
• Abbreviations will stay as abbreviations. Even if they have a vowel in them.
• Apostrophes will be kept as they are (example: "wasn't" -> "asn'tway"), but if a post does not include them, they will not be added in the translation. (<- applies to all other punctuation marks!!)
• I'M GOING TO MAKE MISTAKES!! THAT'S INEVITABLE!! IVE PROBABLY MADE MISTAKES IN THIS POST!!! Please dont pelt me with rocks guys please :(
