wholesome thing last night on Eurovision Reddit:

people were camping on a thread to get updates and speculate on the Joost drama, me included

then someone mentioned that they were in the UK and could see the northern lights

cue other people in the UK looking outside and seeing them, attaching gorgeous pictures

then everyone from all corners of Europe joined in and looked at the sky in unison at like midnight

I can see them from Copenhagen! me too from Rotterdam! even the Balkans!

people were getting emotional because it was their first time seeing them

so in the end Eurovision did bring people together
