@ihatechosingnames
once more, i have lost found my heart.
I am watching Fate/Stay Night, a bit for personal curiosity (always wanted to see it but didn't know where to start) and a bit for the collaboration for Honkai Star Rail (especially since they are bringing Rin and Gilgamesh).
I can't stand seeing Shirou risking his life recklessly, like all the characters tell him "be careful" and he is like "I am going to check the most suspicious place where I can possibly risk my life AND I'm not going to call for Saber or Rin".
Seriously, does he have a death wish?
I have a theory, and it's a stupid one. I want to guess which of the two Trailblazers will be shown on the Himeko Nova trailer.
WARNING: this is only speculation, both of them are the canon trailblazer and the story works the same whatever you choose Stelle or Caelus. Nobody here is going to say that one or the other is the canon trailblazer, please we don't need the same drama of Aether is the canon Traveler and Lumine is the Abyss Princess here. In Genshin the problem is the devs who only use one of the two Travelers for marketing.
You all know that Stelle and Caelus are shown quite equally in the trailers and openings (Penacony and Planarcadia for Caelus, Amphoreus for Stelle) and sometimes they are even shown together or switching in the same trailer (if we are talking about the anniversary one). Now, I couldn't help but see a slight pattern: when it's time for the trailer of the Astral Express crew, they show Stelle.
We have the animated short for Dan Heng IL
The trailer for Evernight
And the one for Dan Heng PT (plus the animated short they put on yt features Stelle as well)
1 is casual, 2 is a coincidence, 3 may be a pattern: so if we follow the pattern, Stelle should appear as the Trailblazer on the trailer for Himeko Nova (I expect the story, the cinematic and an animated short because Himeko is the core of the story in Planarcadia).
Unfortunately, we don't have the same pattern appearing for the Stellar Hunters: Silver Wolf, Kafka and Blade are all characters of the first year of HSR and the trailers were more a showcase of their abilities, instead of being a cinematic just like now, and they show nobody else. The exception is the Firefly trailer where Caelus appears, who was also the damsel in distress on the Silver Wolf Lv999 trailer.
For being the only new character on this patch, Blade has only one trailer, where his relationship with Silver Wolf (he is acting totally like her father) and Kafka were more important to showcase.
Conclusion: the devs are playing with my heart, when they make a trailer sometimes they roll a dice to decide which trailblazer gets to be in it, sometimes it's already decided for the ship bait or because they picture the two trailblazers with a very slightly different personality, I mean, Caelus got the more chaotic trailers and opening, Stelle got the "you can pack so much trauma" type of trailer, but at their core they are still two racoons, two trash pandas with a nuclear weapon inside of them.
And what do you think?
Will we see Stelle or Caelus on Himeko Nova's trailer?
Stelle
Caelus
Pantalone x Dottore is a ship that I can see working and working well.
They are two manipulative persons, they are huge red flags to anyone but each other.
It's the toxic x toxic ship that ends up being the non-toxic relationship.
i really love this trope when group of friends (or not friends but they all pretend to be such) kill someone together and the rest of the plot is just batshit spiral of the consequences of that and attempts to fix the mess. black humour is a must-have. it is even more funny if none of them are good people and no one cares about the victim they just want OUT. and they still hate each other. bonus points if there are still messed up hook-ups and other weird dynamics going on.
reblog if you love ao3 exactly how it is and you donât want it to âupdateâ or change in any wayâĄ
bruce's greatest mistake wasn't failing to save jason in time it was believing that a teenage boy would ever prioritize being an obedient (soldier) robin to batman above the desperate yearning of a son wanting his mother
HE WAS JUST A CHILD MAN, A TEENAGE BOY who was so desperate to connect with his biological mother because he was TERRIFIED that his adoptive dad was going to toss him aside for not being the ideal partner in his CRUSADE of VIGILANTISM. SO HE WENT RUNNING AFTER the one and only "REAL" familial connection he had left in order to obtain UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, the kind of unconditional love bruce wayne and dick grayson got to be born into. AND ALL THE DAMN ADULTS IN HIS LIFE EITHER COMPLETELY OVERLOOKED THAT OR TOOK DIRECT ADVANTAGE OF IT AND CAUSED HIS DEATH !! it flipping haunts me every day, god if i could just go back in time and rig the phone calls so the vote would be to save jason i wOULD!!!
Also can I say???
Bruce, Jason's father, told Jason to stay. Sheila, Jason's mother (in Jason's eyes which is what matters don't come at me with that "he didn't know her so it doesn't count" bullshit) told Jason to come with her. This is systemics is called "contradictory injunctions". There was never gonna be a good answer for Jason, so he went with the one that fit what he wanted to do most (which is what happens in those situations) and that was saving his mother, because he was a hero.
Not to be that bitch (though I'm gonna), but the canon and fandom's attitude of treating Jason's choice as an act of disobedience is patriarchal. It's evidently victim-blaming, yes, but it's also the fact that the kid's individual choices, actual motivation and autonomy are treated as irrelevant -a disobedient child is bad and reckless even when that disobedience is righteous and brave because child disobedience of authority is inherently evil and wrong- the woman's injunction is treated as inexistent, her role and agency in the story erased, it's not even that it's not held as less important than Batman's it's that it's never even brought up: nobody ever brings up the fact that Jason was as disobedient as he was obedient, that in not listening to Bruce he listened to Sheila. Meanwhile, Bruce's command is absolute, even the narrative bends to it, if you get hurt it's your fault for not listening to him because he is the Patriarch and what anybody else says cannot possibly matter as much as what the Patriarch has to say on account of the bat-authority granted to him by his bat-testicles. Now obviously Bruce was right to tell Jason not to go in the warehouse, but that's because the narrative wants it that way, if the bomb had been outside the warehouse Jim would have written Jason going in because the point of that command is justifying Jason's death, because he wanted that kid to die and be blamed for it and writing a boy following the authority of a woman rather than a man's seemed to him like a logical mistake that could be used to blame him for his death.
Starlin dedicated himself to writing the most annoying evil child he could imagine when he was writing Jason as Robin and what that looked like for it was a child who cared and listened to women. Possibly killing a rapist, beating up an abusive pimp, listening to his mother, that's what was supposed to prove him evil, just as the warning sign that Sheila was supposed to be evil was that she had performed illegal abortions. Ethically, the most basic tenet of caring for women's rights was portrayed as something bad enough that a child should die for it, and dc and its fandom largely seem to agree to the day. They value obedience to the patriarch so much, their heroized hierarchy of sexist masculinity, of course they were never gonna care about the sexual predator targeting the women at the Wonder Woman office, why would they? The hierarchy was functioning exactly as it was designed, and the women who weren't willing to obey and shut up had to leave because why would the men on top damage a system that benefits you?
I want to add something:
for us readers it's obvious why Jason ran away in search of Sheila, what is shocking is that Bruce has absolutely no idea. And obviously neither the writers, because their intention wasn't to make Robin more sympathetic to the public. Too bad for them that people has this thing called "empathy" and "critical thinking".
For Bruce is simple: he never thought that Jason would prioritise Sheila over him (and his orders). Hence why the order he gave was related to the Joker, because for him the Joker had absolute priority. The Mission is always first.
I don't know how to rationalize the writers' decision of having Sheila being the bad girl of the situation, misogyny?
Anyway, the problem is that on meta-level, if we go with the idea the writers had of Jason as Robin, Jason didn't go in search of his mother for a plan b but for rebellion/angst against Bruce who benched him. We readers gave the situation the context of Jason's entire background and reached that answer.
if u ever think ur being overly petty and bitter just remember there once was a portuguese prince whose dad assassinated the woman he loved & when he became king he literally had her body exhumed & placed upon the throne as his queen & forced the portuguese nobility (aka most of his fatherâs supporters) to pledge their alliance to her & kiss the hem of her clothes so that they would ârender her when dead that homage which she had not received in her lifeâ (x)
WHERE DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN GET THESE STORIES FROM???! DO YOU LIKE MAKE THEM UP OR SMTH??!
yeah⊠or iâm portuguese and know my history
okay so like, this is one of my favorite parts of Portuguese history
and itâs not because I have the same name as her or anything (even tho itâs definitely a factor - because how cool is that?!? - and I kinda used - and sometimes still use, letâs be real here - that as an excuse to call myself a queen because reASONS and shut up you would do the same)
but because that shit is like the stuff of legends and there is a whole myth surrounding their love story and the supposed place where she was killed - on the kingâs orders near a fountain in the farm where she secretly lived with prince Pedro - because thereâs a red stain there and itâs said that when she was stabbed she cried for the kingâs men to spare her children (if memory serves me right) and her tears landed on the fountain and turned red because she was terribly devastated and in pain thinking only of her children and how she was going to leave them without a mother when in the last moments of her lifeâŠ
and also, you know that prince? before he did that thing when he exhumed her just to make her ~officially~ his queen - and have everyone who ever opposed to them and their love kiss her clothes to pay her homage and the respect she did not have in life?? like that shit savage bro - he did another thing, even more savage than that
he searched the whole country for the two dudes who stabbed her (there was a third but I think he died or smth), even went to spain because one of them fled the country after the king died, and he fucking RIPPED their hearts out (one from the front and one from the back, because InĂȘs was stabbed from both sides too) and tortured them in public, y'know, as you do
and that, my dear friends, is why the story of Pedro and InĂȘs is considered one of the best love stories on our country (and I would say the world too because that shit better than anything Shakespeare or Nicholas Sparks ever wrote and it was fucking real)
my boy Pedro didnât fuck around when you fucked with his lady, and you lyinâ if you say you donât want you a freak like this - this Extraâą, this ride or die, this savage - when it comes to love.
listen up, girls and boys, take note: follow their example and get yourselves a freak who would crown you queen after you were killed
TL;DR: basically Portuguese history has the best love story in the world and its the most savage thing you could imagine. go look it up - the story of Pedro and InĂȘs. *mic drop*
Reblogging to add even more awesome contest to a previous reblog
People thinking this is fake is genuinely why I insist there is more history outside BBC shows about the Tudors. Yall are missing on some prime telenovela shit here on the little iberian peninsula
Male writers writing female characters:
âCassandra woke up to the rays of the sun streaming through the slats on her blinds, cascading over her naked chest. She stretched, her breasts lifting with her arms as she greeted the sun. She rolled out of bed and put on a shirt, her nipples prominently showing through the thin fabric. She breasted boobily to the stairs, and titted downwards.â
â She breasted boobily to the stairs, and titted downwardsâ is the greatest fucking sentence I have ever read.
THE ORIGINAL??
(smh) Never thought Iâd see it in the wild. Yet here it is. :)
always gotta reblog the âbreasted boobilyâ post
I love it, "breasted boobily" and "titted downwards".
I'm dying of laughter.

Aand... that story where Bruce took Jason to the place he died is much more sadder now.
On: things that fucked me up today!
One of Tim's main reasonings for becoming Robin in ALPoD is "we can't let villains think they can kill Robin", which is supported by Harvey, and later KGBeast assuming Tim is Jason. This means that it's likely most people in Gotham believe the robins are Dick, Tim, Steph, and Damian. Jason's deeds as Robin have been fully erased, retroactively added to Tim's tenure as Robin.
Except for one thing! Joker repeatedly says that he killed Robin. Calls it "It's the day I won", makes a big deal out of it. (yes, Joker is the only one that has ever made an effort to maintain Jason's legacy as Robin. no wonder he was mad)
So that's it right, the people do know Jason existed, right? Well no. Because of Batman 408. In it, we learn the post crisis reason for Dick retiring as Robin: Joker shot him, and Bruce decided to forcefully retire Robin. It's stated that the people think Robin is dead. And considering two issues later Jason calls himself the second Robin, that's unlikely to have been disproved.
So, when people hear Joker bragging about killing Robin, they're likely to assume he's talking about the first one. Even Jason's death gets added to someone else's legacy.
Tim stole Jason's life as Robin. Dick stole his death.
