Here’s a scribe. They have a built-in “inkwell” full of glorb, a saliva-like substance which is excreted from the mouth. Glorb has metaphysical properties. Using their wings, scribes write incantations in the air. When their inkwell is running low, the creature regurgitates more glorb to top off their supply.

A product of goleiic influence, scribes’ evolutionary path was hijacked with the intent of goleiic practitioners to serve their agenda.

Early concept for Leacoth, a region on one of my worlds. This is a dolumus mound, a living, growing structure made of a mushroom-like species called dolumus. These mounds support a vast plethora of life.

Will post a more in-depth look into this world very soon :)

These Bart Simpson lookin ahhh creatures are called Bunkgoln. I was inspired by this Igbo figurine dating to the 19th century. From marc.assayag on instagram, “This dynamic, lively pottery figure is probably a fragment of an Ntekpe figure.”

Stylized pottery from around the world leaves much to interpretation, especially with a piece like this where the majority of it is missing.

As for the centipede-looking guys, I took inspiration from the Gamyga from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Such a bizarre enemy and I wanted to try to capture the feel of this enemy in an organic form. I think I landed on something different, but I still like the finished result in its own right.

Ophalids! I wanted to make some sort of reptilian stick insect. Took some inspiration from ant-eaters in their feeding habits as well. I imagine them walking like chameleons, very slow and precise movements. This would also justify the need for camouflage. Anyways, I conceptualized these guys about a year ago and might do a redraw because I do like the concept :)

This came to me in a dream. The flesh-mound-things were a corrupted species of frog that became trapped in a constant state of shape-shifting. So, their faces would morph into human-like faces, then back into frogs, then something in-between, etc. Hard to capture that on paper, so I just drew three of them :)
