i love everything about the idea of karen being robin’s mother in law when the post canon ronance gets serious. she laughs at all of robin’s goofy jokes and she’s actually interested by everything that she has to say. robin loves coming over to karen’s house to have cookies and chat, and nancy will come home and be surprised to see her girlfriend there, chilling with her mom. all of this is so refreshing for robin who’s mom would find her “difficult to deal with,” and with how depressed and lonely karen is, this “hilarious, sweet kid” is a wonderful addition to her life 💓
