So there's several categories for my muses. I plan to make visual novels eventually, so some of these characters are from an idea I have for the visual novels! The categories are as follows:

Arzy grew up in a family that prided themselves in their work. It left her longing for more. They often reaped souls, but she knew she had a different calling. She couldn't bear to see the fear in human's a demon's faces alike when they realized their time had come. The turning point in her life, was when her father had met his end. Due to a policy of the other realms, his own wife, her mother was forced to take his soul into the unknown of the afterlife. Her mother was never the same afterward.

She became cold, apathetic, and Arzy couldn't bear it any longer. She left home, and tried to find her own means of survival. She was well adept in magic, and found a mentor who was willing to take her in. She quickly became a well-known contract demon. It made sense, to help grant people their wishes. Though she was confused at first, seeing the people become desperate to have their dreams and wishes fulfilled made her feel something...something she hadn't felt in a long time. Hope.

Most contract demons required a hefty price or even sacrifice, but her? She asked the same of everyone she had helped with the contracts she forged with them.

"Call for me again and tell me about your hardships, your prides, and your aspiration. Tell me the good you have done with that I have provided for you."

Adia Jones (OC)

Profession: Elementary School Teacher

Height: 5'4

Race: Human

Adia, or Addie, loves to help others learn. She feels as if there's no better time for someone to learn to love learning as a whole, than when they're youngest. In her mind, being a good elementary school teacher to as many students as possible can give them a positive impact in their life later on. She can be a bit silly at times, but for the most part she's soft and down-to-earth. Her favorite things to teach her students is how to write! After all, writing is a good gateway into learning. As long as you know how to read and write, you can learn about anything in the world with the sky's the limit.

She really wants to do what she can to make an impact, as her childhood teacher did for her. Even to this day, she still sends little letters to her teacher's school, thanking her for everything she's done to get Addie this far. Despite being happy with her job, she's not happy with herself. She thinks she can always be doing more, and often has times were she doubts if she's making a difference at all. It can build up from time to time, and leave her in a depressive mode in which she feels she isn't good enough.

Those moments are often subdued when she gets to see the kids, when they bombard her with love and support. While it does help in the moment, the overwhelming negative feelings tend to swarm when she's back at home, with no one watching her. As much as she'd love to tell someone, she doesn't want to face the rejection she feels is yet to come.

When Tomo went to lawschool, he didn't think that he'd be stuck as the receptionist and scribe for courtrooms. He wanted to be a part of the legal process, but instead he's stuck spending several hours nearly every day writing down things he wish he could say. He works tirelessly, and wants nothing more than to defend people from crimes they never committed. Sometimes he'd even pause his typing, pissed at the audacity of some of the people who made false accusations when CLEARLY they weren't guilty.

How could someone really sit there and barely listen to their defendant's case, and just half-ass the entire process? He wasn't one to get mad, but sometimes...sometimes he sure did. He would never lash out, instead, he'd take additional notes in the courtroom. Even the judge didn't care, and figured it was so he could learn the system better. Instead, he spent that time writing down the responses of the judge and jury. If he knew what crimes and evidence people often overlooked, he could use that to his advantage.

To...to be a better lawyer...yes that's definitely what he's deluded hisself into thinking. It wasn't the only thing he was delusional about, either. He's convinced love-at-first-sight is a thing. But really, wouldn't anybody? Especially when they locked eyes with you...

Husker LeBlanche (OC)

Husker is the kind of man most despise. Not because he means to be rude, he's just to the point and blunt about anything and everything. You could probably count on one hand the number of times another human being has seen him smile. He works at a shitty little bar in downtown, and the place is so crime-ridden that the management can't find someone to replace him. Besides, he works more hours than anyone else.

He takes every Tuesday off, though no one knows or cares why. It's funny...no one even really knows where he lives. People in general are too scared to talk to him, let alone ask him questions about himself when it literally looks like he wants to kill someone 100% of the time. Coworkers? He couldn't give less of a shit. If people get in his way, he can and will tell you...and never very nicely either.

Just because of the location, no one even questions him. He's by far not the shadiest person that town has ever seen. Rumors go around of him "paying women for their services" but there's no facts or evidence to back that up. Though it wouldn't surprise his coworkers, who figure it's the only way he can get a girl. But really...does he even want one?

Patches (Chess) Cabbett (OC)

Patches really felt like she wasn't being seen as much as she was glanced at. She loved some attention here and there, but finding love felt hopeless. In order to find someone, she decided to go into the medical field. People loved nurses and doctors right? They helped people? Some people really like their girls smart...was she not smart enough? Strong enough? The thoughts plagued her mind, and soon she found herself studying day and night in nursing school. As much as she wanted to go out, she couldn't. When she wasn't sleeping or studying, she was working as an intern at the nearest hospital.

Her love for the concept of love never wavered, but was merely postponed. Things became chaotic when she started getting patients showing up to her doorstep. They claimed she was the best nurse they ever had, and wanted her to do their procedures instead of the other doctors. From then on, she started working under the table. She would patch people up without hesitation, spending a lot of her free time with her new patients.

It may have been a dumb decision, but it worked out in the end. She got a close knit group of friends, all of which who help her with her "side" business. When she finds you, everything she's ever wanted changed. You were the object of her obsession, and no matter where she went, she wanted you with her. If you tried to escape...it didn't matter how, but she'd find you. There's not an inch on this planet she wouldn't search to find you if you somehow managed to escape. And...well...

One way or the other, you'd only make a single escape attempt. Never mess with the nurse. She can start people's hearts, but that also means she knows how to stop them in the most subtle ways possible.

Zero Wolfe (OC)

Zero's parents always wanted her to be a cop. Her father was one, and her mother used to be a detective before she retired. She took more after her father than mother, in the worst ways possible. He was cold, manipulative, and knew how to put on a facade. That's exactly what Zero did. She kept a neutral expression, hiding all of the emotions she felt until she wasn't even sure who she was anymore. The main emotion she felt at all times? Rage.

The world was cruel and corrupted, and more often than not, she took her anger out on the people she was arresting. For the most part, she took on cases with horrendous human beings as the criminal. If she had to do smaller cases, she'd be more forgiving. Though when it comes to certain crimes, she has no such hesitation. Sometimes even, if they'd run quickly, they would turn back to see a vicious face, with eyes that could stab holes through a brick wall and a smile that rivaled the devil himself.

In the game, she finds her purpose through you. Suddenly you become her priority, but for some reason...she really just wants to see the face you make when you realize you can't escape her. She can be sadistic, and brutal. But don't worry, with each passing moment you feel pain, she'll make up for it 10 fold...and show you just what it's like when someone would kill for you.

Benevella (OC)

Benevella is a descendant of two powerful Gods, that had her as their only offspring. She has been aware of her parents and who they are, that being Cyric (or Sirhivatizangpo) the God of lies, trickery, and strife. Previously, he held domain over murder and death, as well as tyranny and illusion. Her other parent being Azathoth, which has no definitive form, allowing her to shapeshift into anything she may wish to appear as. Azathoth's domain is death, tempest.

She, even as a child, would lure other children to the woods, laughing as they were devoured by those she called parents. Once children were no longer satisfactory, she would grow older, only to send many people to their deaths in the name of her family. Normal people had ceased to be enough, however. She devised a plan of her own accord, to create a school for those wishing to master their talents and skills.

As they enroll, her parents watch over through her eyes, and once the students had "graduated" they would be sent to a far off land to help bring evil to its knees...or so they think. In all reality, they are sent to be drained of life and soul, devoured by Cyric and Azathoth. She holds no remorse, and sees this as a way to make her parents proud, and fuck all the people who don't accomplish anything, those who never would have grown up to amount to anything.

This? This is justice, brought down on people by her and her parents alone.

Juro (OC)

Class: Cleric

Juro was well attuned to magic, but only after he had discovered he was favored by a Goddess. The Goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. The irony of him being a gay male wasn't lost on him, but it seems she has plans for him. Normally only women and girls are in favor of the Goddess, but she took pity on him. He was often beat up, rejected by the other Tabaxi in his family. He was never like them, he didn't fit in, and by a twist of fate, Aphrodite found him. She blessed him with the ability to do magic of his choosing. Despite the option of darker or hostile magic, he wanted to help people.

He took up healing magic, though a few base spells he knows are good in a pinch. Before being accepted at Benevella's, he was shy. Quiet and reserved, but seeing all of these other people who didn't fit in, just like him, he became outgoing. He wasn't afraid to be himself anymore, and he couldn't and wouldn't tell his friends just how much they saved him without even realizing it. A switch was flipped, and he became who he wanted to be most.

A person who could save others in the way that he had been saved.

Bek Mukscar (OC)

Name: Bek Mukscar

Age: 19

Orientation: Aroace

Class: Barbarian

Kobalds were never known to be aggressive unless cornered, but Bek didn't have a choice. His small town was attacked and he wouldn't stand to see people slaughtered for no reason. He doesn't say much, and fights with speed and precision. What he lacks in brute strength, he makes up for in determination. Bek hasn't lost many fights, since most people assume he's weak simply because he's a Kobold.

When he got the letter to attend Benevella's, he was positive. This would be his chance to prove his worth, and show that anyone is capable of having the strength to save lives. He still felt fear, and he felt it often, but it made him lash out rather than cower. If he thinks someone is even looking at him wrong, he'd become aggressive and hostile. The only people who can calm him is the 3 other members of his party in Benevella's.

He won't say much...until he gets drunk. In which he gets very silly and affectionate, saying how much he loves his friends. If someone is mean to him when he's drunk, he'll still fight them with the speed and precision he has sober, but he'll have exagerrated expressions and call them ridiculous names and insults while he fights them. Being with his party helped him, and he rejects anything people claim he said when he was drunk, even if he openly remembers it.

Meldroir Brewbrand (OC)

Name: Meldroir Brewbrand

Class: Bard

Orientation: Panromantic/sexual

Dwarves weren't exactly known to be charismatic, but that didn't stop Meldroir. They always had a love for performing, and by sheer coincidence they realized they could protect, heal, and inspire people with their music. Their family hated that they were performing in the middle of the town, thinking everyone was really making fun of them instead of enjoying their music.

It didn't stop them, and they discovered just how much love and hope they can spread with their music. When they got the letter from Benevella, they were over the moon. They decided to hold a party in their town, and paid no mind to the bittersweet expressions of those around them. Some feared for their safety, others was sure they'd perish by the end of their first year. No matter how much people dragged them down, they didn't care. Because helping one person is better than slightly aiding thousands. That one person could grow up and change the world, and they'd be there to support them.

Finding their group of misfits was the best thing that ever happened to them. There was endless support, and sure, they were all vastly different from each other, but that's what made it so special! Between the banter and confessions around a campfire, they couldn't be happier. It was no question if they'd lay down their lives for each other. It was always unspoken, but evident in their trust and actions.

Gieth (OC)

Class: Sorcerer

He was one of the many who never fit in with the rest of his people. Not a lot of Kenku people were exceptional at dangerous magics. It was usually small things, with the ability to mimic voices of anyone they'd heard. It helped him try to fit in, but the second people would see him, they would flee, thinking he had tricked them. It took him a long time to realize he was scaring others, but why? For not being what they expected him to be? It wasn't his fault!

Even still, the anxiety got the better of him. He took the few belongings he had and tried living in the woods. But there were far more predators than prey in these woods, and he decided to do something few dared. A permanent transformation. It was the first time he felt like he excelled at something. People could use glamour or other forms of magic to change how they looked temporarily...but he aimed to make this transformation permanent. It wasn't a perfect job, but it was intimidating enough to scare off most of the animals and species who aimed to eat him for dinner.

He found his travel party at Benevella's, and he found somewhere he fit in. In the group of others just like him. Those who were shunned or avoided because they weren't meeting the expectations of their races and societies. He looked far from human, adorning wings on his head and back, small patches of feathers across his "skin"...but it was enough for him. His friends reassured him he was perfect the way he was. Despite being overly shy, he could get excited easily and tries to keep it in check, but his friends all assure him that he's perfect just the way he is.

He doesn't have much confidence, but tries to help people even if he goes about it awkwardly. There's one thing that makes him feel confident though, and that's his ability to make people smile by using their voices to say things they'd never say and pull small little pranks on his closest friends in this way.

Voblith (OC)

Class: Bloodhunter

Voblith knew she was different from the start. Her whole family excelled in magic, but she couldn't use it no matter how hard she tried. It wasn't until she got into a battle with a dire wolf in her teens that she realized the extent of her powers. It bit into her arm, drawing blood, and she waved her arm as it released it, the blood floating in the air.

She knew of people who could write sigils with their blood to aid them in defeating enemies, but she never thought she would be one of them. She studied often, and with zero hesitation she put a healing sigil into the air with her blood as it floated. The wound on her arm closed, and she drew another sigil and watched as the dire wolf howled and crumbled to the ground in pain.

After that incident, she researched as much about the powers as she could. She didn't tell a single soul about the powers she had discovered, and instead set off into the world with the goal of destroying those who are evil and preyed on the good and weak. She harnessed her powers, relieved that she could finally make a difference in the world. As a goliath, most people expected her to be brutal and cruel, but instead, she did good from the sidelines, never taking credit for helping those who needed it, and that's just the way she wanted it to stay.

Krend Broadbone (OC)

Name: Krend Broadbone

Class: Fighter

Krend was part of an undercover project. The population in the city he was born in, consisted of mostly Kobalds like him. When the city was taking over by a tyranical ruler, he thought the Kobalds were lower life forms and completely expendable. He didn't care if they lived or died, and would even take great pleasure in watching them suffer before meeting their end.

Despite how fearful Krend was, he stood up to the king. He stood in front of his little sister and he was filled with fury for the first time. It was a new feeling to him, and he wasn't even entirely sure what the emotion was until he saw red. But he didn't know how to fight, so the guards quickly apprehended him and made him watch as they executed his young sister. Something came over him, and he managed to bite and thrash in the guard's grasp, effectively drawing a significant amount of blood.

The king was furious momentarily, before he came up with an idea. He laughed, and had the guards chain Krend and bring him to their castle. The whole time, Krend fought and thrashed like a wild animal...and to be honest, he felt like one. Very soon, the king would make Krend fight for his life. There would be battles between him and numerous guards. It became a habit to watch him fight and struggle.

To everyone's surprise, his endurance was unmatched. He was strong, and the king gave him an ultimatum. Work for him in the shadows, or watch as he executed every last remaining Kobold within the town. It wasn't a pleasant choice, but he did as the king said. Though without him knowing, Krend would go on missions and slowly relocate the Kobolds, until there were none remaining and Krend made his escape, fleeing with the group of Kobolds he was able to rescue.

He misses his sister more than anything, but that only fuels him to fight harder. One day, he'd slay the king in his throne and justice will rain down upon him.

Rudi Seunchs

Name: Rudi Seunchs

Orientation: Homosexual/Lesbian

Rudi didn't know why she wasn't like the other girls. She'd try to play with them as a child, but they avoided her or even bullied her to various extents. She knew she had weird eyes, and scales on her forehead and hands but why would they hate her for that? She'd ask her mom where her father is, but she'd always ignore the question and redirect her attention elsewhere.

One day, the kids went to far and severely harmed Rudi, calling her a freak. She ran home, crying to her mother, and they moved deep within the woods to be as far away from others as possible. It was dangerous, since anyone could attack and no one would know...but it was a risk they were willing to take. From then on, once Rudi became a teenger, her mother insisted that if guests were coming over or she'd go into town, she'd wrap bandages around her wrists and hands, and cover the upper half of her face and eyes with a mask of her choosing.

Rudi realized...she's never been hungry for regular food. She had been draining blood from rabbits with her mother's instructions and assistance. What...am I? She'd ask herself, and she would try time and time again to get answers from her mother, but she was far too protective to tell her the answer to her questions. She didn't want her to leave and find her father, and once Rudi realized this, she left home without telling her mother goodbye.

She'd travel to the ends of the planet just to find her father. Because if her mom won't give her answers? She'd find the man that would. She never traveled much, so she was lost often but she stayed determined to find him. One day, she heard a voice in her head. She had barely turned 18, and she agreed to let the voice stay in exchange for hints and directions on where her father was...though the voice demanded more and more, it was overwhelming.

She kept distance from people, being rude and even cruel...but only because she didn't want to show vulnerability.

Hydris (OC)

Name: Hydris

Age: 42

Orientation: Aroace

Class: Cleric

Hydris spent her whole life near home. She didn't leave much, despite being a water genasi, who were often known for travelling freely through the lands like water from a stream. She just didn't see a reason to. She was happy where she was, and could help the people who would return home from their travels to have a familiar face when they did finally return. Despite staying in the town, she found herself outside more often than not, tanning her skin into a deeper color from how long she spend in the outdoors.

Hydris was kind to everyone, because she firmly believed that everyone who was mean really needed someone to be nice to them once upon a time. It got her called Naive often, but she didn't see it that way. All conflicts stem from disagreements or arguments, so if she can be a sort of peacekeeper and aid someone who just needs a listening ear, of course she'd do it! It doesn't matter where someone comes from, they should be treated like living beings, not something to look down upon. She even treats her pets with the same philosophy!

She never contains her pets within the home, but instead treats them like her family, able to come and go freely, knowing they have somewhere safe to return if she ever wanted to. It was hard to keep in contact with everyone, but she was a peaceful soul and never raised her voice to anyone and always gave advice when needed. All in all, she's a girl who considers herself to have 0 problems with the world. She wishes to leave her town one day, but doesn't intend to leave until she knows there will be someone like her to stay in her home town to welcome her back, just as she's welcomed back all those who left their borders.

Yumi (OC)

Name: Yumi

Age: 22

Orientation: Homoromantic Demisexual

Class: Paladin

Yumi isn't entirely sure why she was chosen to help fight for the God of light and sunshine. Known as the Morning Lord, he was known to provide hope to people, but she has no idea why she was so special. She was quiet, stuttered a lot, and didn't really know how to talk to people. As a tabaxi, she was different from many of her family members and really any other tabaxi she'd ever came across. They were sly, cunning, and very few had pure hearts.

She convinced herself she was just like them, but when thinking about it...she never really could act like them without feeling uncomfortable. She ran away from home, but tabaxi were often hunted by sport. She was chased through unfamiliar woods, and knew she couldn't outrun them forever. She played it smart, and put distance before sliding back to hide amongst the trees. She cried silently, but suddenly she felt a power surge within her.

The symbol of the morninglord shone upon her, a greatsword descending from the trees, as if placed there intentionally. It had Luthander's symbol on the hilt and she took a deep breath, picking it up. It was the perfect weight, which astounded her because of how heavy it looked, and she was never that strong. With this ray of hope, she battled precisely and achieved the victory she previously thought would be impossible.

As a loner, she never makes many friends. Though once people saw her holy sword, they question if she stole it. But as she walks, she helps anyone and everyone she thinks could use assistance. She started building a name and reputation for herself, as someone who will always listen, always heal, and always cherish people and their lives, because life is precious and it won't exist forever. She fights when necessary, but often manages to resolve issues through words rather than blades, and she prefers it that way.
