I understand and respect the fact that everyone has their own personal opinions and preferences regarding Killing Stalking.
But what is this I keep seeing about Bum being “useless” and “annoying”?
He is a victim of physical, verbal, emotional, psychological, and sexual abuse!
Abuse that occurred, from what we know, since he was a child!
While some people are able to solider through life, overcome their trauma, and grow stronger from their experiences… others don’t have that ability or willpower.
Some people are deeply scarred. The pain may fade with time, but some wounds just don’t heal. Some memories just can’t be forgotten.
And I think that’s the case for Yoon Bum.
He’s shy, timid, introverted, awkward. And sure… perhaps even borderline creepy.
But is that really his fault?
That’s the way society and humanity made him.
I’ll admit, I don’t condone some of Bum’s actions.
But I would NEVER wish death upon a victim, whether they’re fictional or real.
From what I’ve been seeing lately, it’s pretty clear that not many people share my thoughts/feelings towards Bum.
And it’s the same damn thing for Sangwoo.
Sangwoo was also a victim of terrible abuse.
He’s just affected differently than Bum.
Then again…. Sangwoo was always popular. He was always accepted by his peers at school.
That alone probably helped him to develop more confidence and a pretty outgoing personality/side to him.
Bum, on the other hand, seemed to face ridicule and bullying on a fairly regular basis at school.
Which I know from experience is extremely traumatic.
Bullying can easily break a person down, to the point that they lose all confidence, self esteem, and self worth.
And honestly, having to deal with more intense forms of bullying can easily cause a person to become an empty shell of the person they once were… never to return to their original self, due to the trauma of constant rejection and torment from everyone around.
Then to pile sexual and physical abuse from a family member on top of that… it’s no wonder Bum always seems afraid and reclusive.
Plus the fact that Sangwoo’s physique is the complete opposite of Bum’s.
Sangwoo is tall, built, muscular, strong.
Yoon Bum is thin, frail, and of a smaller stature.
So of COURSE he isn’t as tough as Sangwoo or Seungbae.
And he sure as Hell doesn’t deserve to die.
Personally… I’m hoping for the best, but expecting the absolute worst in future chapters…
