The Tale of Strangler Luke: Son of Bhaal
"To my fellow blood-bretheren,
If you are reading this missive, know that you number among my most trusted confidants. Also know that if you betray my trust, my hands will grip your throat with the steadfast embrace of long-parted lovers. So. Yes. Of late, my friends, I have felt a calling when my fingers meet each other around a windpipe. As if there is a voice whispering sweet nonsense into my ear as I tear the breath from my quarry's lungs. I think I am chosen by our lord of Murder.
Perhaps even related. Yes, my bretheren - I will stake my claim on a legacy of murder, a throne of blood. I will challenge Lady Orin to her birthright, and if my grip stops her gasps before she flays my skin from bone - I will become Strangler Luke: Son of Bhaal."

Just a little VP sketch of the Bhaalist delegation's arrival to Moonrise, I'll develop the idea further
I thought about resist! Durge's arc and then felt the urge to make this.

They might seem cute but don't forget this is unredeemable durge x unredeemable durge
What would Durge say to the person they were before the tadpole, if they could meet them?
Lynette would have a plethora of things to say. Many of which her former self would sooner ignore. She'd be very tempted to call out her own weaknesses. She always had it in her to rebel, to refuse her father. Yet she never found a reason worth pursuing.
In truth, there was no better time for her transformation than during the absolute crisis. Removed from her father's watch, the urge silenced. A fractured weapon, ready to be smelted into something new rather than be burnished in the same hellfire.
I think she may even be able to give herself some grace, without being soft. She knew better than anyone what her headspace was in those final moments. How tired she had become of the life and role she was forced into.
She would tell herself, without giving anything away, that she would find a reason to live again. Something more fulfilling than the power on offer.
Getting the point across would be difficult, but she would try to convince herself to place more faith in others, outside of Bhaal. To trust that she would experience genuine connection and those bonds would carry her through to the other side.
There is never an easy answer. But finding solace in the knowledge that the pain isn't forever, and you do not have to endure it alone, may be all you need to keep fighting.
What would Durge say to the person they were before the tadpole, if they could meet them?
Ilinarie would say what she told Orin. She has the hindsight of recognising Bhaal's abuse, the experience of failing him, and the scars of being (deliberately) failed by him. She'd know there's more to her than Bhaal.
Pre-tadpole Ilinarie wouldn't hear a word of it, clearly if anything bad happened in her supposed future it was a consequence of not pleasing Bhaal enough, and hence she'd be even more diligent to avoid this fate.
