Ruby DEFINITELY hallucinates yang 100%
Penny’s alive because Ruby can only take so much, Blake killed neo successfully, Winter hanging around to try and comfort and help Weiss out is not helping Ruby whatsoever (seeing Weiss’s very alive older sister), qrow still gets sober but Ruby isn’t actually happy about it for the same “really? Right now” reasons as usual because in her little traumatized perspective he only chose to be sober after yang was dead
There should be a scene of a building catching on fire (CLASSIC team Rwby ) but as it’s burning Ruby stays in it a bit to long thinking of her sister
Ozpin might try and offer a “she died for a Noble Cause” (saving the world) even though they all know yang didn’t die for any fucking cause she died for Ruby the same way she lived for her
One of the last things ruby and yang ever talked about was how their mom could’ve horribly been turned into a grim creature and have been tortured and used instead of just killed which I’m pretty sure is info they have NOT told qrow and I don’t think she’d be emotionally prepared to tell him
Definitely something about how yang is the only member of RWBY who wasn’t in the message to the world so no one even knows to think she’s missing unless they know them
Blake and Ruby are BONDINGGG but honestly not in a great way pov me and my bestie and we both wanna die vs Weiss having to deal with that after already losing her entire home and kingdom
Ruby gets to bury her SECOND family member in an empty casket 🎉
Blake and Ruby’s relationship is a tense kind of closeness cause they are SOOOO friends but they can’t really try and help the other get better unless they acknowledged the amount they’re neglecting themselves so they just don’t really and just sit in an acknowledgment of how bad they both feel
Ruby treating pennys journey of figuring out how to be a real person as a distraction
Raven gets to find out yang took the secret of her being the maiden to her grave
Qrow probably tries to comfort Ruby with something like “she wouldn’t have wanted to go out any other way” in an attempt to be like ‘she loved you sooooo much and it’s so not your fault’ but Ruby interrupts it as a ‘I saw your sister as a shield to protect you/others and not as a person’ further isolating her from qrow/ her family
Definitely if people brought up the message all of them would get a little upset about it because of the fact yang actively fought against the idea prioritizing the people in front of them and protecting those people immediately (this is also part of the mindset that got her killed)
Emerald is HORRIBLE at being properly comforting and I think they kind of enjoy the change of pace from constant pity and concern and the question of “how are you feeling now?” And “is this about yang” looming in every conversation
I think Ruby asks penny what deaths like (from the first time around) both for suicidal ideation reasons and because she’s wondering for yang
Blake definitely has her family but she doesn’t know how to describe her to them or how to handle explaining wha she’s going through so I think she falls into old habits and attempts to separate herself from the people who love her and want to help her (her parents don’t really let her but it’s real hard)
Jaune and Blake bonding?? Over soulmate loss
A lot of their close friends take it upon themselves to try and make sure team rwb aren’t left alone to much but Weiss probably falls through the cracks a lot because they’re more worried about how Blake and Ruby are taking it
This is even better if you add in the Weiss and yang roadtrip au and make em even closer then in cannon so that falling through the cracks thing hurts even more
If Ruby was ever told to give a motivational speech to try and help people band together and save the world during the chaos with all the refugees I think she’d use the opportunity to just give a eulogy for her sister
I do think it would still be effective in getting the general people’s support and motivation especially the atlas/mantle citizens who have lost so much
