Good deeds are to be done with no expected reward.
But hey, if the lady decides that the nice man who helped her find her missing husband last week deserves a nice pot of meaty pasta and an equally nice basket of warm bread, he’s not going to say no.
And since he’s in a good mood, he might as well share. “— care for some pasta?” Volpe smiles, tapping the other on the shoulder.
Arelette was a bit startled by the tap, and turned around to see who it was. She quickly laughed in embarrassment, smiling at the kind man.
"Oh désolée, I didn’t mean to seem so fraidy Monsieur… I was just a bit startled.”
Steel eyes stared down at the pasta and bread, realising how hungry she was. Dieu, and the meal looked really good…
"Depends on how much you’re willing to share," the brunette joked, gazing back at the other with a grin.
"Depends on how hungry you are," Volpe quirked an eyebrow, but took a piece of bread and scooped up a good bit of pasta into it. A gleam had passed into the woman's face for a moment at the sight of the food, a look that he knew all too well.
He closed the pot and handed the bread to the woman. "Piacere. Or should I say c`était mon plaisir?" he smiled.
