As a cishet male who was born in 1982 and spent his very young childhood growing up in the 80's... the patriarchy can go fuck itself.
To this day I feel ashamed to cry - even in private. The patriarchy taught me that.

How many fathers, brothers and sons were lost forever thanks to the patriarchy. How many ended their own life in pain they were told they shouldn't feel.
And the bullshit women endure is just as bad. Only women are more likely to put up with it for longer because they've been told they have to. Ironically, being allowed to cry, probably prolonged their suffering when they should have just kicked the deadbeat out.
Or even better; forced him to get therapy and break the bullshit he's also suffering through as well (but still leave him - she's not obligated to stay afterwards).
If you don't like the phrase "the patriarchy" then call it by it's longer name.
The Systematic Generational Psychological Abuse, Perpetuated Upon the Working Class by the Ruling Class, to Maintain the Population, the Economy and the Military Fighting Force, in Order to Prolong the Ruling Class' Power and Secure Their Future Financial Gains.
"The patriarchy" wants women to make babies and men to kill each other in war, so the ruling class can benefit from it.
And the sickest part is, the ruling class are victims of it too.

Feminism has evolved from a women's rights movement to a human rights movement.
That's how bad "the patriarchy" fucked over men; for decades we didn't even fight back. We just put up with it, believing we were benefitting from it when we weren't, really. We put up with it until we died. And all the while we took out our pain on other men and the women in our lives.
Meanwhile, the assholes who were really benefitting from it, got off scott free (except in France in 1799)
If you're against human rights for everyone, including yourself, then you're a fool, and you're exactly the kind of fool the ruling class wants.
