the funniest parts of aftg are Andrew unapologetically playing favourites because he's always trying so hard not to care but his only moral is "Kevin and Neil can do whatever they want without any consequences and if anyone tries to impose consequences on them they have to get through me first" while no one except Kevin and Neil themselves wants to get through him

One day, Kevin is looking for his favorite socks, the ones Neil keeps stealing. As he rummages through Neil's drawers, what he finds is not the damn socks but The Binder.

Neil and Andrew walk into the bedroom just a moment later to find Kevin flicking through the binder's pages, a deep frown on his face.

Neil freezes in shock. He very much stops breathing.

Andrew crosses his arms over his chest and leans a shoulder against the door's frame to watch the shit-show about to happen.

"Kevin... that's mine." Neil takes a step forward, hands reaching out to get his binder back.

Kevin evades him by lifting the binder over his head and out of reach.

"Neil, what is this?" he says, looking dangerously solemn.

"It's... It's not-"

"Sloppy work," Kevin cuts him with the tone he usually saves for bitchy exy feedbacks. "All the pictures are torn. Do you not know how to use scissors? Not that you seem to care, seeing how all the pages are crinkled... And why are there so many coffee spills everywhere? That's disgusting-"

And Kevin just. starts ranting.

Turns out, he is absolutely unfazed about Neil's stalker binder. He finds nothing creepy about it. He seems to believe this is a perfectly normal thing to do. (He is the Queen of exy after all. He is worthy of this kind of worshipping).

At some point during his endless diatribe, he goes to get his own binder (the one he made about Jeremy Knox) to show it to Neil:

"Look! This is proper work! This is nice and clean! That's how you do it!"

neil starts acquiring keys. first the keys to the foxhole court, then to andrew’s house. andrew’s car. wymack’s apartment. abby’s house. his key ring gets heavy and andrew gets him a carabiner so he can clip it onto his backpack, his belt loop, his duffel bag on overnight trips. he likes the sound of it, the jingle. it reminds him of home. the foxes realize he likes it and start to get him keychains as gifts. he adds them all, even when his carabiner starts to get excessively crowded. it becomes a tradition that whenever any of the foxes move into a new house they give neil a copy of their new key. he keeps them all. he’s not nothing anymore. he has so many people and so many homes he doesn’t know where to put them all

I have the mental image of Kevin being interviewed and hearing the most vile, most despicable and cruel comment about his team.

And he could say something about it but Kevin decides that no no I’m going to express my displeasure by doing something even worse.

So Kevin slowly turns to where Neil is standing off side beside Andrew, takes a few steps back and gestures for him to go.

“You have 5 minutes.”

The smile on Neil’s face tells the interviewer they have seriously messed up but there’s no one to save them now.

I think one thing people dont realise why i like kevjean alot eventhough i keep saying it ALOT its because of how REAL and raw their relationship is. Kevin doesnt view the foxes as family like neil does and vice versa - the closest people in his life was riko and jean. Riko is a whole other topic but ultimately it just boils down to jean does it not?

Tell me why is it that the only person who noticed that kevins drinking was a problem was jean. Even the trojans just assumed that kevin was just being kevin drinking vodka and beer or whatever. Jean noticed and he will ALWAYS notice things when it comes to Kevin. Kevin noticed too he noticed the foxes were not a good fit for jean and that he needs to be with safer and more softer people.

Aftg deals with subtle themes alot and i think kevin and jeans relationship details are extremely implicit and hard to catch but im insane about them so i analyse every single scene.

Jean is not scared of kevin. I think thats a very big one. Hes not scared of him when kevin shoved him against the wall - he fought back. This makes me think that in the nest obviously it was not always soft moments it was angry raw but it was real. And that grounded jean and i think jean meant way more to kevin than ANYYYYYY one realises because due to the fact he had to patch him up and shit he slowly stopped dissacioasting idk how to spell but u get the gist.
