Y/Nâs POV
You watched as Dani whirled around the house, trying to tidy up, before her friends arrived. She was currently trying to shove her latest DIY mess into the storage closet while you sat on the couch, nestled in your throw blanket.
âYou know you should have cleaned up the place before making todayâs plans.â You smugly commented, eyes watching in amusement as the door bounced back in retaliation every time Dani pushed against it.
âWell you should be a good friend and actually help me instead of sitting on your ass!â She snapped, clearly irritated that the door wouldnât shut. Her harsh words had no affect on you though, past experience with her snippy attitude reassured you that she didnât really mean it. The bad mood was just the result of things not working out as they should be. Hence why she was currently trying to smash her shoulder through the door.
With all the noise, you werenât surprised when you heard the soft patter of paws against the floor. Soon enough your third roommate wondered into the room, wagging his tail in excitement. He strode over to Dani and sat next to her feet, looking up at her with his big curious eyes. Dani muttered a disheveled âhi Montyâ, still trying to shut the door, and used her foot to push him slightly to the side. Shaking your head, you lazily tore yourself from the warmth of your blanket and got up to help her. The feeling of your bare feet against the cold floor sent a shiver up your spine but you continued over to Dani. A little bit of extra help was exactly what she needed because not too long after pressing your hands against the door, it shut with a soft click.
âFinally!â Dani sighed, sliding down along the door in relief. Monty took the opportunity and pounced on to Daniâs stomach and give her some kisses.
âWhat would you do without me?â You chuckled, deciding it was safe to take a playful jab at her as you walked off into the kitchen without a real purpose. Monty following close behind you. Her friends would be here any time now and you had an uneasy knot in your stomach about it. You honestly didnât think tonight would end up with everyone being the best of friends. It was far too late for that.
You took a moment to think everything over. Luke, Ashton, and Michael seemed like really nice guys but you didnât expect them to like someone Calum didnât.
Calum. The mere thought of him made you frown. He was a whole other issue entirely. You didnât know what his deal was and you werenât sure if you wanted to. It seemed like a lot of effort on your part if you were going to try to be friends since he was so set on hating you.
Looking around, you tried to look for something to do and keep yourself busy. The house was clean, the living room ready for the movie marathon, and Dani hid your keys again so as far as you could think of, there was no escape. You thought about taking Monty for a walk but you werenât so keen on walking around the neighborhood at night.
Tapping your fingers against the counter, you tried to think of other things to do when Dani caught your attention.
âIâd probably die, buried under all my stuff.â She grinned, making you smile back. You felt a weight on your foot and didnât even have to look down to know Monty had taken a seat on your foot. There was a silent moment between the two of you. While you mindlessly rearranged the items on the counter, she took a seat on one of the bar stools and just watched. You let her stare for a minute or two before meeting her gaze.
âCan I help you?â You questioned, trying your best to be oblivious to the expression on her face. In the end, the things on the counter only shifted slightly to the left.
âDo you think you could give him another chance, Y/N?â Dani said, pleadingly. âHeâs really a nice guy once you get to know him.â
You huffed in response, slipping your foot out from under Monty to put a few dishes away. You thought she was joking at first but when she didnât say anything after, you looked back at her incredulously. âYou canât be serious, Dani.â
âCome on, Y/N. Please.â
âDonât âcome onâ me.â You snapped, your own tempering getting the best of you when you remembered how you were treated, not bothering to hold yourself back since it was just the two of you. âHeâs an asshole, Dani. Who bitches about someone not jumping and screaming to their music like that? Itâs like he expects everyone to like him and his stuff without question. What is he? Six? âOh, not everyone is doing what I want so Iâm going to kick and scream about it.â If he really was such a nice guy maybe he would have considered how loud crowded places made some people anxious and uncomfortable.â You paused to calm you calm yourself a little before continuing on in a quieter tone. You even shut your eyes for a moment to gather yourself. âWhat really gets to me, Dani, is that he didnât even hold back when he knew I was there. He didnât care enough to try to pretend to hide itâŠI think our feelings towards each other are mutual. I donât really want to be around him either.â You carded your fingers through your hair and took another breath. âLook Dani, I know this means a lot to you and you want all of us to get along but I just donât think itâs going to happen. Iâll try my best to be as nice as I can but Iâm just not sure if itâll make that much of a difference.â
Dani looked upset but nodded nonetheless, thankfully understanding who you felt the way you did.
Calumâs POV
Lukeâs finger hovered over the doorbell as he and the boys listened to the voice behind the door. Calum felt his fists ball up in his pockets as he listened to Y/N insult him. He didnât even want to be here. He could be back on the tour bus right now but the boys wouldnât let him. He really didnât want to be listening to Y/N talk about him behind his back.
He knew he didnât like Daniâs friend for a reason. She was a bitch alright, he knew- His thought was cut off short when he heard Y/N finish yelling. As much as he wanted to deny it⊠she had a point. He didnât consider the fact that maybe concerts werenât for everyone.
Calum considered that maybe Y/N was a stuck up music snob who considered everything that wasnât her âuniqueâ genre to be trash. Or maybe he was right and Y/N really didnât care. She was just using Dani for a social media worthy moment. Hell, he even considered that she just being a down straight bitch but⊠he hadnât considered Y/N not being the problem.
He felt the weight pressing down on his chest. The combination of guilt and remorse he felt now that he understood was really making him feel like shit. He messed upâŠreally bad.
Frowning, his grip only tightened. âHurry up and ring the bell.â He gruffly commanded, his bad mood emitting into his tone of voice.
His friends briefly shared an uneasy look with one another before Luke pressed the pad of his finger against the doorbell.
There was a silent pause inside the house before a quick shuffling and Dani opened the door.Â
âHey guys! Come on in, I thought we could marathon some scary movies tonight like how we used to.â Dani said with a smile pinned on to her face. She didnât need to say anything for them to know something was wrong. Her expression said it all but they werenât going to say anything just yet. Moving inside, Calum looked around the house for any sign of the other girl but got nothing. Dani ushered them into the living room where they lied out all the food. It wasnât until he got settled down on the love seat when he noticed her quietly creeping towards the stairs with a puppy in her arms.
She was hiding from him.
Irritation bubbled inside of him. What was the point of avoiding him? He was trying to apologize, why was she making it so hard?
To Be Continued.
A/N : Hey guys! I know its been a while but I finally found some time to writer another part to this series. There will probably be one last one after this.Â
did you guys like it? hate it? Please let me know. If Y/N being unfair or is Calum being a bit of a jerk? Iâd love to hear from you guys â„

The awkward silence that followed after you finished talking was enough to make you regret opening your mouth. Everyoneâs reactions being an added layer of anxiety for you.
Dani looked more upset than angry now. She looked at you with sad eyes, she never would have imagined that meeting the boys could have ended like this.
Lukeâs expression was blank, like he wasnât sure how he should feel about the whole thing.
The sympathetic look on Michaelâs face said it all. He knew Calum was being a dick but that didnât mean his reason for being upset wasnât valid. He shouldnât have taken it so far though, you didnât deserve the harsh words or bad attitude.
Ashton was frowning with his eyebrows knitted together. He didnât like how everything was turning out either. No one should treat themselves like that.
Glancing from one person to the next, that left you looking at Calum in the end. He has his eyes closed as he rested his face in the palms of his hands. A small frown etched on his face. The body language he was giving off just rubbed you the wrong way. He looked exhausted and upset like he was the one who walked into someone else talking shit about him.
A small part of you was expecting him to lighten up after you accepted that you were a bitch while the other part couldnât understand why he was being such a brat.
You couldnât have been the first and only person to stay seated during one of their concerts.
Involuntarily you began to think of ways to help east the situation along but after a second or two, you decided against it. It didnât matter if he liked you or not. His little hissy fit wasnât your problem. He had to grow up and realized not everyone was going to do what he expected of them all the time.
With a few more rational thoughts, your mind was made up and you looked away from him. You decided to ignore him, no point in trying to befriend someone like that.
Calum was just being a child throwing a temper tantrum because he didnât get his way.
Luke was the first one to speak up. Clearing his throat, he said. âSo what do you want us to call you then? âThat bitchâ or just âbitchâ ok?â He held up both hands, raising one up for each option as if they were sitting in his hands for you to take.
You snorted in response, your hands shooting up to cover your mouth. A small smile growing on your face.
The others didnât find Lukeâs joke as funny though.
Michael shoved him off the arm of the couch while Ashton just sighed before muttering a quiet âI canât believe you said that, manâ.
Dani narrowed her eyes at him. âI dare you to call her a bitch, Hemmings.â She hissed.
âHey! Iâm just trying to be considerate. I donât know what she wants to be called so I asked. Be a more considerate, Dani!â Luke said, trying to keep a straight face before Dani began to whack him with her fannypack. He noticed that his joke helped ease the tension a little bit, judging by the way you were laughing and smiling as Dani hit him.
Calum noticed too. Subtly parting his fingers enough to be able to peek through, he caught a glimpse of your smile as his band mates tried their best to get you to laugh more with their shitty jokes. Â Now that you werenât focused on him, you seemed more relaxed and carefree. He could see why Dani liked you so much by the way you interacted with them. It was such a difference compared to a few minutes ago. He was surprised, the girl he was looking at now couldnât have been the one he saw during the concert.
She was actually really-
He was so focused looking at you that he didnât see Dani move to set next to him. The dip of the cushion catching his attention.
âIf you talk about Y/N like that again, Iâll-â She began to say before Calum cut her off.
Why couldnât she just let it go? Dani was always the one to push his buttons. Feeling his irritation return, Calum snapped back in a hushed tone, not wanting Y/N to hear him this time. âIâll say whatever I want. Whatâs the point of going to a concert you donât want to be at? How do you think the musician feels to see someone not vibing with their music at their own goddamn concert huh?â Calumâs tone rose louder and louder with every word. He meant to speak as quietly and calmly as Dani did but that didnât work out very well. The room feel silent again and he didnât have to look to know that everyone was looking at him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw you frown again. Your bright smile vanishing once his words reached you. âIts not a good feeling.â He muttered, knowing he fucked up again.
It was Daniâs fault for riling him up.
He deepened the frown on his face and leaned back into the couch, avoiding your gaze. He didnât care about what you thought, he wasnât in the wrong.
You  dropped your hands to your sides and tore your eyes from him. Who cared? You could care less about what he thought of you. It didnât matterâŠeven if the words stung.
Michael rolled his eyes, Calum just didnât seem to know when to shut his mouth tonight. Standing up, he clapped his hands together to get everyoneâs attention. âAlrighty, letâs go shove some food in our faces everyone!â
You watched as they got ready to leave. Were you supposed to go with them? Were you even invited? The idea of going out into a public space with a famous band didnât seem too appealing to you so you decided to just head home. Not that you cared but Calum probably didnât want you to be there. Holding out your hand in front of Dani, you wiggled your fingers expectantly.
And without missing a beat, Dani laced her fingers together with yours, giving your hand a light squeeze.
âNoo!â You laughed, trying to untangle your hand from her. âGive me the car keys.â
Dani rummaged in her fannypack for a bit before pulling out her car keys. âWhy? Did you forget something in the car?â She looked confused.
âNo Iâll meet you at home though. Have fun with your friends and please donât do anything stupid, Dani.â You snatched the keys from her hands before she could say anything and was already headed towards the door. After the night youâve had, you were more than ready to just lie on the couch at home and get lost in whatever show was on.
âY/N, you could just ride with us. Thereâs plenty of room.â Luke said, seeing you with the keys in your hands.
âIâm actually headed home, it was really nice meeting all of you.â You smiled, putting on a sympathetic expression on your face. It really was nice meeting most of the band.
âWait why?â Ashton asked.
âUh IâŠâ You werenât exactly sure how to tell them that you didnât feel welcomed enough to accompany them for dinner or that you didnât want to experience the crowds of people that will flock to them in public without being rude. You wrung your hands together and stumbled on your words, trying to rack through your mind for the right way to express that.
âY/N doesnât like big crowds. It makes her anxious and really uncomfortable.â Dani spoke up for you. She looked torn, not wanting to leave you alone after the night youâve had but really wanting to hang out with the boys while they were still in town.
âOh.â Michael, Luke, and Ashton nodded, looking kinda of disappointed but they could understand why you felt that way. Calum was listening into your conservation, now running his hands down his face in frustration. Now that he knew the reason why he felt awful about the way he spoke about you but his stubbornness didnât lessen. He was convinced that since he dug his own grave, he had to lie in it now. He had seriously messed up.
You pretended not to have noticed Calum being an angsty brat in the couch and apologized again to everyone else, inching closer to the door.
âWhy donât we just grab take out and come over to hang out? Wouldnât hurt to stay in once in a while.â Luke suggested.
âOh no, donât change your plans because of me. I-â You began to say before Ashton spoke up.
âYeah. Weâll grab the pizzas and head over to yours.â
âDaniâs told us so much about you, we would really like to get to you know you, Y/N.â Michael added on, distinctly emphasizing the we while looking at Calum who in return just mumbled.
âI donât think thatâs ness-â You tried to reason.
âIts completely necessary.â Michael grinned. He knew he was being pushy and you may not be completely comfortable with it but he was determined. Calum may have fucked up his chances of making friends with someone awesome but he sure as hell wasnât going to.
Piling out of the dressing room, the boys went in one direction while you and Dani went in the other.
âYou sure this is ok?â Dani asked, genuinely concerned whether you were comfortable with them coming over. They were her friends and she knew they were good people but given someoneâs first impression, Dani didnât want to push you into something you didnât like.
You pursed your lips together and thought about it. âAs long as Calum keeps his pulp lips shut, we wonât have a problem.â You muttered blatantly, not taking too much notice as to what you just said until Dani jabbed your ribs with her elbow.
âHis what?â She snorted, throwing an arm over your shoulders to keep you from escaping.
Realization hit you and you tried to push her away. âShut up! I mean his big stupid lips.â

âQuit draggin your feet and hurry up, Y/N!â Your best friend, Dani, scolded. She tugged you towards the event center entrance, thanking the staff as the two of you flowed through security.
You frowned but reluctantly followed behind her, weaving through and dodging people as Dani led the way. You figured that there was no point in putting up a fuss and possibly irritating a couple fans who are excited to get in. Surrounding the both of you was a sea of fans, all bubbling and chattering away about their favorite band. You could imagine the glares youâd get if you hindered foot traffic.
Luckily enough to find two front row seats on the right side of the stage, you and Dani settled in. It was a good spot, you thought, high enough up to oversee everything, clear view of the stage, and away from the growing crowd in the area in front of the said stage. Dani plopped down in her seat and sighed, tired from dragging you along.
You looked around and noticed how 5 Seconds of Summer merch coated nearly every inch of the space as more people filled in.
It wasnât that you didnât like the band, you actually thought they were cool. Their music was great and based on the interviews that Dani would watch sometimes, they seemed like genuinely good people. Maybe a tad bit dorky but definitely a couple cool dudes. You just appreciated music more in the comfort of your home, not really seeing the appeal of being surrounding by screaming people and flailing arms.
âWhy are we here again, Dani? Not that Iâm not grateful that youâd spend this much money on me but you know how I donât like crowded places and that I like to be able to hear things.â You sarcastically added in when you saw the large speakers littering the stage.
âOh shut up, Y/N. Weâre here to have fun and listen to great music. Itâs your first concert and you might change your mind in the end.â She pointed her finger at you with her eyebrows raised. âAnd if you must know, you Nosy Nancy, I got them for free.â Dani turned her nose up in the air and smirked.
âAnd how did you manage that? Judging on the amount of people in here, it must has costed a small fortune. A small fortune I know you donât have.â You smiled before she playfully shoved your shoulder in response when you sat down.
âI have connections and not a single penny was spent.â
The lights dimmed and a loud âare you ready?â was blasted from the speakers. You let an inaudible whistle, taking in all the light effects and excited screaming as the openers began to hype up the crowd. Everyone stood up and jumped to the beat as you remained seated.
The concert was everything you anticipated it to be. Lots of screaming and arms moving in the air. Choosing to remain seated to avoid getting hit, you watched the band play their hearts out. Their energy was contagious and spread through the crowd as they played. Their passion for their music really showed and that by itself made you smile, nodding your head to the rhythm of the song.
You couldnât help but noticed on the one you recognized to be Calum kept glancing over to you. His stare was intense and gave you chills if you were honest. You indulged in the idea that he was looking at you with his dark eyes for a moment. You could get lost in them for hours. Once your little fantasy was over, you chalked it up to him being really concentrated on the music. Probably just absentmindedly looking over the crowd, you thought.
âSo what did you think?â Dani asked as the two of you were getting up from your seats. The concert was over and Dani was right, your opinion changed.
âI have to admit, it was fun, Iâll give you that.â You said, trying to wipe the smug smile on her face before she could say anything. âHearing an artist live is so different from at home, I liked it.â You admitted, Feeling the bass shake the building and the energy of the crowd as the band played was definitely a great experience.
It didnât make you want get up and jump or scream along with everyone else though. Â It still wasnât exactly your cup of tea but you could see the appeal of it. Â
You moved towards the exits, ready to head home and relax when Dani pulled you towards the restricted zone of the event center that was only for staff. You laughed, thinking she was playing around but when people began to casual greet her and didnât shooing you away, you looked at her with confusion.
âWhere are we going?â You said.
âI want you to meet a few friends. Now come on!â She urged, pulling you along by the wrist yet again.
âIs this the point where you sell me off to the highest bidder?â You laughed, still having no idea where you two were going. She better not be getting you in trouble. Being charged with trespassing didnât sound like fun.
âOnly the best, doll.â She winked before stopping before an open door, her index finger pressed against her lips.
âWho-â You began to say before a louder voice silenced yours.
âWhy the fuck even come!â An angry voice echoed out the door, catching both yours and Daniâs attention. âDid you guys see her? She just sat there! She just fucking sat there!â A sinking feeling in your gut grew within you. It didnât take you more than a second or two to know who they were talking about. It had to be you, no one else was sitting during the concert. His glances made sense now. You frowned and grabbed Daniâs arm, giving it a slight tug in the direction you came from, wanting to just leave. âUrgh! It was so irritating just to see her fucking sitting there.â
âCome on, Cal. Its not that big of a deal.â You heard another say in a softer tone. They were trying to calm him down but it didnât seem to have worked.
âItâs a big deal to me, Michael! Her face just killed the vibe for me, just sitting there with a blank expression, nodding her fucking head like she actually cares!â They continued on to say. Every word making you feel guiltier and guiltier. You didnât mean to make them angry. Tears slowly began to pool in your eyes and you squeezed Daniâs arm tighter, tugging her with a bit for force than the last time. âBitchâŠâ He muttered before all you heard was shuffling around.
âLetâs go, Dani.â You whispered, trying to stay composed. It was a struggle to keep your voice from cracking.
Dani just frowned before storming in, thrusting you in after her. âCalum, you are such a dickhead! How could you say that?â She hollered.
âWell its true isnât it! She shouldnât have even bothered coming. That bitch took a seat a real fan could have had!â He yelled back before blinking a few times, registering who he was talking to.
You didnât think his words would have had such a huge affect on you. You barely knew this person. His words shouldnât matter. You shouldnât care and yet you did. They stung and you felt like you were in the wrong for not getting up with the crowd. You could see how it was disrespectful.
âDani?â He said, caught off guard.
âDani!â The other three boys greeted before shifting their eyes over to you.
âWhoâs this?â Ashton asked, a weak smile lingering on his face. He knew he should have closed the door. You looked up and caught eyes with Calum before quickly looking away. You didnât want to even look in his direction, afraid itâd make him angrier.
âUh Iâm-â You stammered, unsure what to say, your lips pressed themselves into a thin line.
âFuckâŠâ Calum said, combing his fingers through his hair. Clear frustration on his face, he didnât think youâd hear him.
Sensing the trouble that was bound to come, you were quick to release Dani and awkwardly step back to stand in the doorway, ready to run away if things got too heated. Your head was hung low and your eyes strictly focused on Daniâs back as she stood in front of you. You could feel them staring at you in your peripheral vision.
Feeling awkward and embarrassed, you decided to introduce yourself. âHelloâŠIâm that bitch heâs talking about.â You meekly said.

Part 2
Iâve never written an imagine about an actual person before haha
It was fun to write, I hope its fun to read xDÂ There will be a second part coming up soonish
Please let you know what you thought, Iâd really appreciate it!
Hi! Hello! Itâs certainly been a good while with a few promises of writing here and there.Â
Iâve finally got a stable schedule again and wold love to get back into writing some imagines as a hobby.Â
Iâm hoping someone still looks at my little piece of tumblr for me to ask what characters I should write some new imagines about. Please tell me know c:Â
I still have some Maze Runner imagines Iâd like to continue, a Calum Hood from 5sos imagine Iâve rekindled my love for their music with the help of their new album in the works, but am definitely open to some requests or suggestions if you guys have any!
Hopefully Iâll know the characters well enough to whip something up!
Iâve been on tumblr in the fanfiction realm (reading and writing) for years now, and these are the things Iâve noticed over the years.
TIPS TO KEEP YOUR FAV FANFICTION WRITERS WRITING
If you read it, say something. It doesnât matter if you drop as an ask or a message, reblog, like or reply in a post. WE DONâT CARE. Say something. It can be insanely detailed to an incoherent rambling such as âfbdhsfbdfabasdhfb.â Most anything will make us smile. There are some days where one of these messages will give us the desire to continue writing. I get it if you donât want to reblog because it doesnât fit the âaestheticâ of your blog, or you donât want to like it because (like me) you have this thing about keeping your likes organized, but  replying to a post leaves literally no evidence on your end and will make the writer smile.
Donât offer advice if they havenât asked for it. Although it shouldnât, hearing people say that they wouldâve done something differently, or whatever scenario wouldnât work, or a straight up insult, or whatever it happens to be, will bother us more than it should. If something about a piece is really bothering you, ask the writer if you can offer something constructive - and by constructive, I mean, offer a solution, donât tell me I suck balls. :) In my case, when this happens, I delete your ask.Â
This is a BIG ONE, and a very simple one. WE ARE NOT MACHINES. We have lives, and we also like to write. We do so for free and on our own time, so donât complain if you donât get an update when you think it should be up. (This isnât an issue for me thankfully, but I see this a lot with multi-chapter fics. People want what they want when they want it with no regard for the writers feelings.)
While many writers, myself included, desire recognition for our work, the majority of us write because we have too many feelings inside us and need to get them out in some way. We write for ourselves and your enjoyment of those pieces is a happy accident, so when you look at a story and think it shouldâve gone differently, thatâs because you werenât the one writing it. We wanted it to go a certain way.
All that being saidâŠTHANK YOU FOR READING OUR STUFF and PLEASE CONTINUE TO ENJOY. WE LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY. YOUR POSITIVITY KEEPS US GOING. <3
Hello! I just found your blog and I'm loving your writing so far! I was wondering if I could be added to your taglist for your Not Immune series. Thank you!
Hello Welcome~! Thanks so much for stopping by. Of course, Iâd be more than happy to add you.Â
Gimme that good angst! đ No but I'm all seriousness, it was fantastic as always and really got me right in the heart. Poor Newt, and I'm excited to see how the others will handle this!
Thank you and hello again! Long time no see, dude â„ c:Â Iâm soo happy you liked it~!Â

Part 1
Dipping and ducking through the brightly lit hallways, you called out to Minho while Newt and Thomas fended off the WICKED soldiers. You pushed your legs to keep moving, the urge to stop only growing stronger and stronger with every step you took. Short of breath and frantically trying to navigate the boys away from Jansonâs men, your eyes looked around for any signs of your friend.
The plan was simple: sneak in, get Minho and the others, get out, and disappear. How the hell did it turn into this? You huffed out in frustration at the thought. Apparently Jansonâs ratty ass nose was able to sniff you guys out sooner than you anticipated.
You wheezed and panted behind your mask, your throat burning. Quickly glancing behind you, you made sure that Newt and Thomas were still behind you. Struggling to breathe, you tore your mask off your head. There was no point to keep it on when all off WICKED knew you were here. You pushed your body to its limits, it wasnât the time to stop and take a break. Minho was waiting.
You turned the corner and came face to mask with an unexpected soldier. You halted to a stop with New and Thomas just a few steps behind you.
âHands up!â They screamed, pointing their gun at your face. Newt immediately reached out to grab you, but the soldier pulled the safety down, tightening the grip on their weapon. âI said hands up!â
Newt frowned and flicked his eyes over to Thomas who in turn slowly raised his hands. The feeling of uneasiness settled in the pit of Newtâs stomach, the longer he watched the soldier walk towards you.
You pressed your lips together and slowly raised your hands as well. You trusted the boys to not do anything stupid while there as a gun pointed in between your eyes. You stared at the soldier, trying to think of a way out of this. The three of you watched as they reached for their walkie talky before being slamming into the wall. Another figure screaming at them with anger and rage before throwing them into a lab window.
You all froze, unsure as to what just happened before realizing who it was. You released a sigh of relief the moment you saw the crown of familiar black hair. Taking advantage of Thomasâ and Minhoâs moment, you slid down the wall. You needed a moment of your own, all the strength in your legs vanishing.
Leaning your head back against the wall, you tried to take deep breathes while clutching on to your infected leg. It was becoming harder to control the shaking. Your fingernails digging into your knee, trying to get it to stop. Just a while longer, you willed, wanting it to desperately listen to you. The four of you would be out of this hell hole and everything was going to be alright, you tried to convince yourself.
âY/NâŠyou alright, love?â You heard, feeling Newt caress your cheek. He knelt in front of you with a concerned expression on his face. You leaned into his touch and managed a weak smile.
âI-Iâm alright, just needed a second thatâs all.â You panted out before falling victim to a coughing fit which made your light headed. Groaning, you shut your eyes and rested your head against the wall again. A chorus of boots rang down the hall, alerting the four of you to what was coming. Newt gingerly pulled you to your feet with your arm over his shoulder.
âWe have to keep moving, Tommy.â He muttered, nodding his head towards you with worrying. Thomas frowned but nodded, they had to get you out of here and to Brenda and Frypan. Thomas pushed Minho down the opposite hall before moving to help Newt half drag half carry you.
With Minhoâs help, you managed to lock yourselves in one of the multiple labs in the building. Janson and his men just behind the metal door, sawing out at the thick surface. You didnât know if you were going delusional or not but the next thing you knew, you were plummeting out of the window and towards a shallow looking pond.
Definitely not one of Thomasâ greatest plans.
All hell broke loose within the Last City. Chaos and explosions spread through the streets as WICKED soldiers tried to fend off the survivors from the outside. Gally tried to navigate you and the others to the sewer entrance but you knew you werenât going to make it.
Collapsing on to the ground, your body seemed to have given up on you. Having fell to your knees, you wheezed and coughed, the sickness rendering you immobile. Your fingers raked through the rumble and dirt on the ground as you spit up black ooze before you. Your hair fell out place, creating a curtain around your face as you continued to cough and gag.
Black veins and unsightly sores littered your skin. It had progressed too much, you thought. Closing your eyes, you tried to focus on your breathing for the moment, the world around you shifting out of focus.
Newt immediately noticed you falling behind and called the others to stop before rushing to your side. He pushed you back up right and gently propped you up against some rubble. His eyes widening at the sight of you and he started to panic. âY/N! Y/N, youâre going to be ok. I-I promise. You need to get up, darling. Its just a little fartherâŠIts just a little farther⊠Right, Gally?â He grew more and more uneasy when you were unresponsive to him talking to you. He turned to Gally for a response. âGally!â
âY-yeah! Just a block or two.â The former Glader nodded, he too finding it hard to take in your current state. Thomas was talking on the walkie while Minho stepped closer to you and Newt.
Newt was trying to get you back on your feet but your body just didnât want to cooperate. Each time he pulled you up, your legs gave way. âY/N! I NEED YOU TO GET UP!â He screamed desperately, taking hold of your shoulders and shaking you. He couldnât lose you.
Both Thomas and Gally pulled him off of you, pushing him off to the side as Minho moved closer to sit next to you.
You could see Newt screamed at them with his hands pointed at you.
âHow you holding up, Y/N?â He said in a quiet tone, a frown evident on his face as he took in your condition.
âTake care of him for me, Minho.â You whispered, staring out at Newt with worry. Your surroundings came in and out of focus as your body lunged forward to vomit another mouthful of black ooze. The substance coating your entire mouth.
âDonât talk like that.â Minho muttered, reaching out to press you back against the wall. âWeâre going to make it out of here.â
You hummed, too tired to argue what you knew was going to happen. Your body shook and convulsed as the Flare slowly took over.
âMinho, we have to go!â Thomas called, taking one last look at you before he, Gally, and Minho sprinted away. Newt materialized next to you and wiped the black away from your mouth.
âCome on, love. We have to get moving.â He whispered before taking you in his arms. âBrenda is coming with the serum, Thomas is going to get it for you and everything will be ok. Youâll be okâŠâ He tenderly said as he made his way over to the emptier part of the city. His tone of voice seeming more to convince himself than you. The sounds from the riot growing into a dull murmur in the background.
âNewtâŠâ You breathed out, holding on to the last ounce of control and humanity you had left. âS-stop.â
âItâll all be ok. Just a little farther.â He chanted, trying to hustle faster and save you. His limp betraying him, causing the two of you to tumble on the ground. Newt scrambled to his feet and knelt down in front of you. He quickly went to pick you up again, but you caught his hands before they could scoop you up.
âN-Newt, listen to meâŠâ You stared him straight in the eyes as more of the black substance flooded out of your mouth.
âY/N pleaseâŠWe have to go.â He pleaded, the expression on your face telling him everything but he didnât want to believe it. Tears pooled in his eyes as he looked at you. âPleaseâŠ.â
âNewt, you canât save me.â You breathed out, trying to talk as steadily as you could. âItâs not your fault, it just wasnât meant to beâŠâ You held his hands in yours and gave it a tight squeeze to reassure him that it was going to be ok.
âWe were meant to be! We-we were supposed to get out of this together! You were supposed to be immune! This this isnât how it was supposed to turn out.â He screamed, his tears free falling from his face from his frustration. âI canât lose youâŠ.â He whispered, crumbling under his emotions. You took his face in your hands and pressed his forehead against yours. âI-canâtâŠâ He sobbed, reaching out and taking you in his arms once more.
You allowed yourself to melt into him once last time before you shakily pushed his shoulders away from you. You looked him in the eyes with a weak smile. âI donât want to turn into a monster, Newt. P-please donât let me turnâŠâ It was your turn to cry. Your fears coming to the surface and tears rolling down your cheek to mix with the black, as it fell from your chin.
âI wonât let you, Y/N.â He whispered, making another move to pick you up again but you stopped him. You reached out and took the hand gun from his belt. Shakily placing it in his hand, you looked up at him. âN-noâŠNO Y/N!â He tried to drop it, but you only tightened your grip on his hand, holding it in place.
Taking your other hand, you pushed the barrel of the gun at your head. âPlease NewtâŠDo this for me.â
âY-Y/NâŠNo I canât. I canât. Donât make me.â He pleaded, his voice portraying his feelings. His hand shook, and he tried to pull his hand out of your hold, but you only dug your nails into his skin.
âYou can, Newt. You can and you will. PleaseâŠâ You cried, your body trembling. âI donât want to turn...â You said once more, your sobs racking through your body. âI want to die human, Newt.â
Newt frowned, the tone of your voice getting to him. He, himself, shaking as sorrow filled him. Silent, he only nodded, his thumb pulling back the safety. The faint clicks telling you everything. You squeezed his hands once more, signaling to him you were ready.
âI love you, Newt.â You said one last time before closing your eyes.
âI love you, Y/N.â You heard him whisper back before he pulled the trigger.
He watched as your body fall backwards. He stayed there for a minute longer, your lifeless body sprawled out before him as blood pooled around your head. Your hair framing your calm face. His fingers slowly unwrapped themselves from the gun and it gun to the ground. He could only control himself for that minute before he dropped to the ground and crawled to take you in his arms. He sobbed and cried, cradling your body close to his, not caring how your blood soaked through his clothes. His hands trembling as he stroked your face. His body quaking as he cried over your body.
When the others found him, they found him weeping into your hair, broken.
The End

Also I was thinking about drawing a new icon picture, what did you guys think? TMR Newt or Minho
Additional also I've recently been into marvel, would you guys like some marvel imagines too?
- Instead of Newt, its Y/N that isnât immune to the Flare virus -
A/N : set in The Death Cure movie version
Word Count : 1267
You crossed your arms over your chest as you watched Gally lower the ladder down into the sewer entrance.Â
âFor insuranceâŠâ You huffed underneath your breath. Shifting your eyes over to Lawrence, you glared at him in annoyance. If they didnât come back by sun down, then you were going in after them. You didnât care if he ran the shoe around here, he wasnât the boss of you.
A small tremor moved your leg involuntarily, causing your hand to immediately latch on to it. Your fingers dug into the fabric of your pants as you tried to suppress it.
This was not the time.Â
Distracted by your leg, you didnât notice Newt come up behind you until his firm hand wrapped around your shoulder. He pulled you close to his body, giving you a light squeeze. âRelax, love. Weâll be back soon.â He said, trying to reassure you.Â
âYouâd be the same way if I was the one going with Thomas.â You spit, momentarily forgetting about your leg. Newtâs small frown made you realize how much of a brat you were being. The feeling of uneasiness that was pitted in your stomach was the source of your bad mood. You really wanted to go with them. Exhaling, you relaxed a bit and looked up at him. âJust be careful okay?â You whispered.Â
âAlways.â He said, leaning forward to kiss your forehead before following Thomas and Gally into the tunnels.Â
Its been a hour or two since the boys left and you found yourself sitting alone on the rooftop, staring out across the rubble that was once a city. Sitting on the edge of the rooftop, you had your right leg pulled close to your body while the other hungover the rough surface. With your chin resting on your knee, your arms were wrapped tightly around your leg. The shakes have been on and off again.
Unlike the others, you werenât so lucky. The Flare Virus seemed to affect you more than youâd like it to.Â
Carefully unlacing your boot, you untucked the hem of your pants and pulled it up. Underneath, black as ink veins wrapped around your skin and calf, spreading as high as your knee. It was getting worse, you thought. A frown tugged at the corners of your mouth as your fingers gingerly traced over the thin black vines. You sighed. You didnât know how much longer you had left before the virus took over and you lost yourself.Â
Would you end up like Lawrence right away or would you slowly deteriorate away until you werenât recognizable anymore? How long did it take him to become like that, you wondered. How long has he been that way? Did the serum he had stop the virus from spreading or did it only slow it down?Â
Swept away by your thoughts, you didnât notice your nails break skin on your leg as your hands involuntarily balled up. Unfortunately, you also didnât notice Brenda walking up to you either. She had come up to check on you. Â Her gasp ripped you away from your thoughts of the inevitable future and back into cruel reality. Jumping from the sudden sound, you immediately pulled your pantleg down and pushed away from the edge to try to escape the situation. She caught you before you could even stand up though.Â
Tearing your hands away from hiding your condition, she pushed up the fabric that hid your secret and hesitantly brushed her fingers against your sickly skin.
âHow long?â She whispers, her eyes never leaving your leg.Â
Knocking your head back, you tried to remember when you first noticed the difference. You stared up at the cloud less sky with your hand reaching out to grasp the Sun. âA while.âÂ
âWhy didnât you say anything?â She shouted. Releasing your pants and standing up, she looked at you with hurt in her eyes. Slowly moving your eyes to look at her, you took in how upset she looked. You werenât sure if she was upset by you hiding your condition or the fact you didnât seem to care.Â
âWhat for?â You replied, unfeeling. You have given up all hope of being saved long ago. Though you didnât want her to be sad, there was nothing you could do to better the situation. There was no cure. Your friend had to grasp the reality you were living, you werenât immune like everyone else. If you could hold out until they got Minho back that would be great and if not, then plans and preparations needed to be made soon. At this point you were just along for the ride.
âWhat for?â She breathed out, not entirely believing how nonchalant you were being. In all honestly she was frustrated with your unwavering attitude about it all. âWe could have-â
âCould have what?â You snapped back, not even raising your voice above a whisper. âThereâs nothing to be done, Brenda.â Standing up to face her, you pointed to your leg with disgust.  âIts too late for meâŠâ You frowned. Even thought you already knew you didnât have a future to look forward to, it didnât mean it wasnât hard to admit.Â
âDonât you want to live?â She whispered back, clearing confused of how you could have given up so quickly. Her tone of voice being full of sorrow.Â
âNow more than everâŠbut what can I do with the hand Iâve been dealt?â You said, blinking away a few tears collecting in your eyes.Â
After your interaction with Brenda, you stayed on the rooftop. It gave you time to just sit and think. You watched the sun set and disappear under the horizon. The desolate city around you was littered with the faint glow of the multiple trash fires in the fallen buildings. The eerie silence being somewhat comforting to you. The gentle breeze blew past you, sending a small shiver down your spine.Â
âWhy donât you come inside? Its warmer.â A familiar voice beckoned before a warm jacket wrapped around your shoulders. You hummed in response but didnât budge. They took a seat next to you and the two of you allowed the silence to take you for a moment. Your eyes watching the flickering lights hidden around the city. It was nice, there was no need to talk between the two of you. The presence of the other was enough. âWill you look at me, Y/N?âÂ
âWhy?â You replied softly, taking in how the sky was once so bright but was now so dark.Â
âBecause I wanted to look into your beautiful eyes.â Taking your chin in between his thumb and index finger, Newt turned you to face him before placing a kiss on the crown of your head.Â
âWhenâd you get back?â You asked, leaning in to rest your forehead against his.
âNot too long ago. I just couldnât stay away for that long.â You smiled a little bit, allowing his accent to sweep you away. With half closed eyes, you watched as his fingers gently lifted your pant leg. Tracing the pads of his fingers against your veins just as you did, his face scrunched up. âWhat did you tell me?âÂ
âWould it have made a difference?â.Â
âWe could have-â He started to say but you were tired of listening to the impossible what ifs and maybes. You took one of your hands and cupped it against the side of his cheek while the other laced together with his, giving it a light squeeze.Â
âYou canât save everyone, NewtâŠâ You closed your eyes, causing a tear to drop on to your conjoined hands.
