"Hmm… Oh! How about the clothing store? Maybe we can find something there." Lucina quickly starts pulling the male to the nearest clothing store. "Everyone is really stylish in this city, even the people who are trapped like us."

It wouldn’t be hard to find something stylish for Inigo. But she had to make sure not to spend too much money on clothing. She leaned forward, looking through the clothing carefully. Until she found something…

"Tada! What about this?" Lucina held up a shirt, a very blinding and clashing colours type of shirts. It certainly wasn’t very pretty to the eyes, or at least eyes that weren’t Lucina’s. Either way, she’s looking at Inigo with an innocent smile on her face.

Turning around, Inigo looked at the shirt and stared. Until now, he'd forgotten how the Ylissean princess had terrible fashion taste, something she most likely inherited from her father. Wincing a bit, he tried to think of all the ways he could reject it nicely.

Besides, the clashing colors certainly didn't suit his taste. In fact, they didn't even go. He hopes they didn't sell Emmeryn shirts and dresses here, but that's another story.

"Well... it's lovely, but it isn't quite my style."

Famous last words, Inigo.

"I’m glad you’re excited! I remember going shopping with mother… It’s been so long." For a moment, Lucina looked a bit sad. Quickly, she brightened up once they made their way into the shopping district.

"Is there any place you want to go first? I was thinking we could go to one of the clothing stores but if there’s somewhere else you want to go…"

Inigo looked around, trying to figure out where to go first. There were so many shops around that it overwhelmed him a bit, but he was with Lucina so everything was okay. "Anywhere is fine really. I'm not picky plus... I'm not really familiar with this city yet."

“Great. I’ll see if I can pick out some classic movies that everyone should see. Star Wars, Casablanca, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Godfather, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Citizen Kane, Singin’ in the Rain, some Hitchcock movies, a few Disney classics… and then we can find a DVD player and just watch them. Clothing optional.”

"Sounds great! Just give me a time and a date and I'll be there!"Luckily for her, he didn't seem to catch that last bit.

HAH. STAYED UP LATE AND WOKE UP EARLY TO FINISH THIS. MANAGED TO FINISH IT HALFWAY THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. 4 page comic to celebrate my husbando’s Inigo’s birthday! That first panel hurt me to draw. T___T Wish I spent more time on it since it seemed to flow poorly. I tried to keep the pages to a minimal and still ended up with 4. Enjoy!

Lucina waited. Maybe she was too early for him? She did say she was going to swing by in the afternoon, but maybe this was too early for him. She was just about to suggest she come back later when suddenly the door opened, revealing Inigo.

To be honest, he looked like he just rolled out of bed. Oh well, they could easily find some fashionable clothes when they went shopping!

"Of course. Happy Birthday, Inigo. I was thinking today we could do some shopping and stop by a cafe later on. Maybe we could stop at the place I worked at." She said this cautiously as she dragged Inigo along. Whatever objections he had were probably going to be ignored by the princess, or at least given the quivering lip and puppy dog eyes, maybe.

But mostly the former.

He'd follow her, wondering exactly where she was going to take him. Maybe he'll get lucky and perhaps manage to get a date out of her. If only.

birthday shopping [ @inigo; ]

As promised, Lucina was out there door by the time it was noon, making her way to Inigo’s apartment. Even though being here pretty much sucked, she wanted to make Inigo’s birthday enjoyable. Lately he’s had really bad luck; maybe this will help brighten his mood.

Plus, she got to go shopping! Oh, she was going to pick out so many great outfits for Inigo. She should probably get her father a gift too— No, Lucina, this was about Inigo today.

Today, she wore a more casual outfit. Nothing really fancy to be honest. After all, they were just friends going out on a friendly date. They were going to do some shopping, maybe stop at the cafe she worked at ( on second thought, maybe they should try another cafe - one with less maids ) and simply enjoy their time.

Oh, she was here. Lucina knocked on Inigo’s door, a smile on her face.

"Inigo! Are you ready?"

Inigo heard knocking on his door. Mumbling, he got up from the couch he fell asleep on and made his way towards the door. As he looked to see who was there, he panicked. He forgot that he'd made plans with Lucina on his birthday The mercenary rushed into his room, looking everywhere for his clothes.

Deciding that there wasn't any time, Inigo just grabbed the foreign clothes that were offered to him. It felt strange wearing such strange fashion, but it'll help him blend better with the time period.

The man of passion would freshen himself up before making his way towards the door, opening it.

"Ah, Lucina! I'm glad you came!"If the blue haired girl were to take a good glimpse, Inigo had a white t-shirt on, along with a pair of jeans and some tennis shoes. Different from his regular attire.

"Well, one cop always needs a weird quirk. I figured yours could be nakedness. Completely unrelated to the fact that I want to see you naked. Really. Just popped into my head."

[ Did he just ask what a movie is? Dang, he’s missing out big time. Tina needs to find out if there’s a movie rental place or Netflix here or something. ]

"We need to have a movie date pronto. You’re missing out on a medium that is unmatched by anything else. Entire communities are formed around movies. People laugh and cry at them. They’re the best things ever."

"Oh."

"Well, I guess we can try out this movie date then... If you say they're are good, then I'd like to see these movie things for myself."

[ See? They have so much in common. Why aren’t they dating already? She should have access to his rump all the time with how many similarities they have.

They’re both attracted to the opposite sex, they both have trouble making friends (though Tina’s trouble might have been partially due to the guilt trip). They’re basically soul mates or whatever. But that would take it too far. ]

"Well then why don’t we just be friends? It can be like a buddy-cop movie. I can be the strong, sexy, female lead, and you can be my naked cop partner."

"Yeah... friendship is always good."

He smiled for a moment before hearing that last part. Frowning a bit, Inigo pouted."Last time I recalled, cops were never naked... also what's a movie? Is that like a play or something? Or a performance perhaps?"

Oh boy did it suck to be from the medieval ages.

[ Time to play the guilt card. ]

"I see how it is. It’s okay. I know what it’s like to not be friends with people. I’m not friends with a bunch of people from school."

"I’m okay. I guess I wasn’t meant to be happy."

"I...I..."

Inigo sighed. Now he felt really bad, especially seeing how Tina was upset. He didn't mean to upset her but he did it anyways. The teen didn't want to end up like the rest of the guys she's encountered in the city. Instead, he decided to make amends.

"Wait... I have a confession."

He looked to the side, avoiding any eye contact whatsoever."I also had... trouble making friends. You're not alone."

[ Why does he have to mention his groin if he isn’t going to get naked? That’s just not fair. He shouldn’t be allowed to do that.

But then he said the next thing. ]

"Are we not friends?"

[ She was pretty sure they were friendly enough. She’s touched his butt, like, twice. And he kissed her hand once, and was all chivalrous. What’s wrong with telling him she wants to see him naked?

She’s pretty much following his advice right now. ]

He held up his hands for a second before letting them relax. Inigo felt that he did a big mistake, or could make one if he didn't clarify this right away.

"Of course we are! It's just that... we barely even know anything about each other besides our own names!"
