bestowing the highest honor i can upon a character i love: making them as dnd characters. henry gets a little divine smite...as a treat.

analysis/explanation under the cut :3

henry: the single most paladin-coded character i have ever seen in my LIFE. i have seen actual dnd paladins less paladin-coded than henry of skalitz. duty-bound? check. fiercely protective of his loved ones, to the point of being self-sacrificial? check. helps people just because he can and it's The Right Thing To Do? check. determined to be self-sufficient and able to hold his own in combat without help? check. oath of vengeance is almost too obvious but it makes perfect sense - the tenets of vengeance are literally just henry's actual ideals. i did consider ranger for a bit, namely because he does a lot of fuckin around in the woods and the idea of henry's favored foe being "2 specific dudes and all cumans" was really funny to me, but paladin makes more sense imo. ranger could give him animal companions, but he can just use find steed for pebbles, and he's definitely got more charisma than wisdom.

hans: swords bard for SURE are you kidding?? 100% uses all of his bardic charges on flourishes instead of buffing his allies, 100% uses all of his spell slots on buffing himself instead of anyone else. he's a flashy charismatic martial, and his blade flourishes can also apply to ranged attacks, so he's just as annoying up close as he is with a bow. i think a few levels of rogue makes sense for him as well - less to do with actual sneakiness and more just to make him more mobile, give him a little extra ranged ability, and give him some more skills. hans is a dumbass (affectionate) but he is well-educated and clever, so i think he'd be a skillmonkey to boot. scout rogue was my way of giving him some ranger-esque abilities because he loves hunting and being outdoors without him needing any wisdom. because he definitely dumped wis.
