Lindir smiled sweetly casting his dark honeyed eyes down to his boots. “You are far too kind with your words, Lord Elrond.”

Elrond smiled, “Then wander aimlessly we shall.” He offered Lindir his arm, “Shall we be off then?”

Lindir took Elrond’s arm, his touch gentle still, even though he need not be. He smiled softly and nodded, looking about them to guess where they might go.

He started walking, strolling lazily down the winding paths to the garden. It had been some time since he had had any free time to spend with the minstrel and he found it more relaxing than he had anticipated.

Lindir enjoyed his Lord's company more than he ever let on, and simple walks did much to calm his nerves. He smiled at Elrond as they continued. "It seems as if you have been needing some time to relax."

Fingolfin gave him a wide smile. It could be a charming one, but his eyes remained calm. It was better not to show others too much kindness at the beggining. Lindir seemed to be a kind person, but he knew many people who seemed to be kind at first. "Oh, it would be wonderful to hear a song now," he said as Lindir stood up. "Well, I had similar problems with library in Barad Eithel. Somehow all my stuff was ending there."

"Then I shall find my lute." The minstrel pushed aside the books before disappearing further into the library. When he returned, a silver and white lute was in his hands. He smiled at Fingolfin and gestured for the elf to come sit with him.
