“Hey, I have been awake 3 days now and I’m not hallucinating yet, I’m sure I can make it through one more measly day. I’ll just doodle a lot and listen to music, it’s not like I don’t know everything already.” He stifled another yawn and grumbled when he heard Oliver laugh. “Oh shut up, it’s an experiment.”
“Three days? Shit, dude, you’re gonna drop sooner than I thought.” The boy’s apparent strategy for staying awake wasn’t exactly a bulletproof one, he had to say. “Tell ya what, O all knowing one,” he deadpanned, “I’m willing to help you out with this little experiment if you want. I can record when you finally pass out.”
“Mostly its a case of funding, research and development stuff,” Justin sighed, looking at the arm quietly, “I’m trying to keep costs down, but it’s difficult because I want to use high quality metals and such. I don’t want inferior build quality in a person’s body, no way. I’ve been doing metallurgy research, but….” he sighed, putting the large case he’d been dragging with him on the floor, about, oddly enough, a little longer then a human arm, “I just need a way of bouncing my research and orders through dummy corperations to keep the industrial spies and such away. I don’t want a repeat of last time where all of my work was stolen and I had to start from the ground up.” He eyed the hand, checking the joints and frowning as he shook it repeatedly, and low and behold, a screw- and thus an entire thumb- clattered to the floor and he growled in annoyance
Maybe this partnership could work out for both of them. “Well how about this? We can do some press release about QI and HI merging together for a project for wounded veterans. It’ll give the government a reason to want to back you up on funding and if you actually help some vets along the way, that’ll be a nice notch in your belt.” He picked up the thumb from the ground, holding it in a way that made it seem like Oliver was giving Justin a thumbs up.
“I’ll let you use Queen Industries R&D just like you let me use Hammer Industries Hunting subsidiary for my arrows. But you’ve gotta help me make a new suit. I’m loving the crossbow and I wanna see what you can do with a little more to work with.”

Damian jumped a bit at the sound of Olivers voice, then let out a sigh. Maybe he should just skip the day and sleep through it, especially if someone speaking startled him. Letting his shoulders droop a bit, he glared back at the other student.
“You’re right. But it’s not that bad, I can make it through the day.. I don’t want to, but I can..” He rubbed his eyes and let out another yawn. “Damn…”
He raised a brow when Damian yawned again. "You really think you can go through a whole day of classes like that? It’s hard enough to stay awake when you’re already well rested, how do you expect to make it through all your lectures and not pass out?” He asked, actually starting to laugh a bit. He wanted to see how long it’d take Damian to crash in all honesty. “How long’s it been since you’ve slept?”
Justin nodded and grinned, “I’ve had a surplus of prosthetic limbs in storage since I developed my prototype drone. Arms, legs, etc. I’ve recently ordered in several artificial organs too, so I can see if they can be developed further, I heard Banner knows a bit about human biology so I can always ask him” Justin beamed, studying the arm thoughtfully, “I figure this is another way Hammer Industries can help the forces….. Y'know, people with missing limbs can…. get put into a normal life.” He looked embaressed, scratching the back of his head awkwardly, “Listen to me….. one minute I was all about weapons and here I am talking about cybernetics and prosthetics….”
“Artificial organs too? Man, you’ve got your hands in a bit of everything, don’t you?” He asked with a grin, nodding as Justin explained his interest and his desire to help people. Ollie had to admit, he may have held a bit of contempt for Justin when he first met him, but the man was making real strides. “There’s nothing wrong with that at all, Justin. Hell, who knows? You may find that you enjoy cybernetics and prosthetics better than weapons. You can make a difference with both, but which difference would you rather make? Food for thought.” He then looked back at the arm, “So how can Queen Industries and I help you out with this?”
It’s you. } Closed to Oliver
She snapped in his direction, glaring and wanting to say something viscous but nothing was coming to her mind. “Yeah I’m sure.” She said smoothly before her sister opened the door. A soft smile rested on her sister’s face, as she embraced Harley in a hug.
“Hey sweetie.”
“Hi.” Harley peeped softly, her face harden as she looked in Oliver’s direction. “I bought him.”
Sherri’s arms crossed, not looking very happy but taking in Oliver. Looking away from him she focused back at Harley. “So are you guys here to see the little ones?” Sherri said, with the same smile Harley infamously had.
Taking her sister’s hand, Sherri led the couple into the house. “They’re in their room, I just put them to sleep so be quiet when you see them.” She warn.
Harley nodded, showing that she understood and then made her way to the room. Connor was sleeping, but Lucy was wide awake, her big blue eyes shinning in Harley’s direction. “C’mere little Lu.” Harley called out as she picked the baby up, holding her close.
Ollie could tell from the moment Sherri looked at him that Harley’d already told her all about him. Great. He gave her a small smile, but she obviously wasn’t too focused on him. He followed the Quinzels down the hall feeling his heart beat faster with every step. He took extra care to make as little noise as possible.
He walked into the room and looked at the two cribs. Harley was already holding Lucy, so Oliver leaned over Connor’s crib. He was sleeping so peacefully and he just looked so perfect. Oliver’s heart swelled as he took his son in. He beamed at the little boy before remembering what Harley said about him almost dying. Tears welled in his blue eyes, but he wiped at them quickly. He leaned in and kissed his son’s forehead softly. “Let’s hope you turn out better than your old man,” he whispered.
The archer turned back to face Harley. Looking more at Lucy than her mother, he whispered, “Can I hold her?”
“You missed a spot.”
“Hey there! Um, see the arm that looks like something from terminator? Can you pass it to me please? I kinda dropped it carrying stuff to the lab”
Oliver picked up the arm and handed it to Justin. “Is this thing part of that prosthetic limb project you were telling me about?”

As doorways passed and Damian’s feet shuffled against the worn out school tile the young student couldn’t help but let out a yawn. As he wiped away the tears that had collected from the yawn he thought to himself, maybe it isn’t a good idea to test how long I can stay up… Three days had already passed and he wasn’t even seeing hallucinations yet. It was safe to assume he could stay up for a lot longer than a normal person.
“Pff.. I’m not even that tired.” Damian mumbled to himself, “Did I just say that out loud?” He scratched the back of his head as he glanced around to see if anyone had heard him.
Oliver had just walked out of his dorm room, about to head to class for the day when he saw the young man ambling down the halls. He yawned deeply and in turn, that made the archer yawn. He hated how contagious those damn things were. He was going to leave the boy to his business when he heard him speak.
“Usually questioning if you said something out loud is a good sign of fatigue. And if that’s not enough, what about that big yawn you just spouted off? You look pretty tired to me.”
It was peaceful at night, quite possibly one of Claw’s favourite hours to be wandering the halls of the Academy. Not that he wouldn’t have preferred to be back in the comfort of his own home, which he would have delighted in. However much to his dismay the professor found himself forgetting tomorrow’s class planner in his common classroom.
Despite the hour of evening, the man was just as every other hour, dressed in one of his many three pieced suits and matching Italian leather shoes that left the slightest of echoes with each step. Walking in to find the doors already open left the most curious of expressions across his face, let alone when he found the silhouette hovering over his desk. Taking a moment to clear his throat before speaking, his words were simple enough. “And what might you be doing at this hour?”
Ollie nearly fell out of the seat when he heard a voice. A groan escaped his throat when he saw that it was none other than Claw standing in the doorway, no doubt upset that the billionaire had helped himself to his classroom. Still, Oliver didn’t bother to take his feet off the desk as his eyes went back to the book in his lap.
“I just needed somewhere quiet to work on this crossword book I found.” He stared at the paper for a second. “Ya know a six letter word for ‘shake’?”
Right back at it again... || Jamie & OPEN
“The darkest booth they have. Gotcha.” He laughed as they approached the corner before the bar. “You know… Not as great as I imagined being on the other side of those stories would feel…” Jamie admitted, though he’d never ask to be in Oliver’s position in the jungle. Where he was with Gar probably was a good day where Ollie was.
Ollie started to laugh, “Yeah, I coulda told you that. But hey, now you’ve got an icebreaker story at parties, am I right? Just walk up to a pretty girl, ‘have I ever told you about the time I got lost in the jungle with a green kid?’ and I guarantee you’ll have her attention.” He joked. He and Jamie made their way into the bar and into a secluded corner booth. The waitress came by and Oliver ordered a Dos Equis and a plate of wings for the table.

❝ Yeah. It’s been about a week, but the campus is so big I have no clue where anything is. ❞
“Yeah, that’ll happen for the first few weeks, but you’ll get the hang of it. Where were you trying to go?” When Evan told him, he started in the direction. “So where are you from, Evan?” Oliver asked, trying to make small talk.
I hit a wall going 400 mph! Seriously, who peed in your rice krispies? Barry raised his brows in disbelief as this guy he literally just met tried to lecture him about how he’d never gone through pain like him. He had no clue what this guy was going through, it sounded like a lot was piling up on him but at the same time, it was too heavy for a first conversation. The brunette started to clean his wound, ignoring the hand the guy held out for him. Barry. He muttered, trying not to let his emotions take over so he wouldn’t yell at Oliver for lecturing him for not being hurt enough.
Oliver retracted his hand with a huff as he looked away from Barry. So he was fast, big whoop. Still, Ollie didn’t just like coming off as a douche the way he did. Too bad the man was too stubborn to apologize, so he instead changed subject. “Look.. I need to blow off steam, and I’m willing to bet you still wanna get a run in. I think I’ve got an idea if you’re up for it. Promise there’s no walls for you to run into.”
Costume ideas
“Oh really?” She raised her brow curiously, “What else did you have in mind then?” Don’t worry I think they’ll be plenty O rum fer everyone.” She laughed, “Yer lucky I like you I’m usually captain of the ship.” She chimed with a wink. “But I can let it slide this time. Because also ships are a hassle I’m good without.”
He smirked when she asked. “Well I was kinda torn between Johnny Cage and Sterling Archer. But then again, the idea of maybe being Green Arrow crossed once or twice too.” He chuckled. “I feel the rum may have been me sellin’ point on the pirate costume though. That and gettin’ ta talk like this,” Ollie bellowed in a gruff pirate voice. “The best part is, with no ship, we don’t have to worry too much about who the Captain is. And take it from me, I’ll say with experience that boats suck.”
“In order to be considered my enemy, you would first have to be even worthy of my attention,” she scoffed, “I hope nothing but for a artless, slow, death by disease for those like you.”
She looked at him sideways, “That being said, Walmart does not close until a few hours and their cakes are not- intolerable.”
“Um.. Thanks, I think? I really don’t know how to take that.” Her words caused a satisfied grin to spread over his features and teeth peeked out from under his mustache. “Shiva, is that your way of saying you want to have cake with me? I don’t care if it is or not, we’re going to get cake, my treat.”
Killer Cappuccino II Ev and Oliver
“Nice to meetcha’.” Ev offered respectfully with a nod before raising a brow as she watched him return with the liqueur. Oh, this guy was a dream come true. New guy or not. “No, no, no, that isn’t a might. It’s a must.”
“It was this or a jail sentence. I’ve got enough brains to know the better choice, believe it or not. What about you, Adonis?”
Oliver nodded along as she detailed her ultimatum. “Am I allowed to ask what for, or is that one of those ‘tell ya when I know you better’ kinda stories?” He’d had more than his fair share of the latter, so he wouldn’t be upset if she’d chosen to keep quiet. The man would be lying if he said he didn’t want to know more about her, though, and he was curious how much she’d reveal.
“Believe it or not, I’m actually here ‘cause I took a boat trip a few years ago and things got, uh.. pretty interesting after that, I’ll say that much. So Adonis, huh? Kinda like the sound of that, I’ve definitely been called much worse.” He told her with a cheeky grin.

❝ Oh, Yeah. Uhm.. Evan Sabahnur. Pleasure to meet you. ❞
“So I’m guessing you’re new here at Novus, Evan?”
