We hate it, we’re disgusted by it, and WE KNOW, and the reason we don’t do anything to change it is because our government has grown too powerful. The US military is the largest, most well-funded on the planet and they do not hesitate to roll it out on us if there’s even a hint of organized dissent. Look at Ferguson. Look at Occupy Wall Street. Look at every major protest in the last twenty years and tell me what happened, and then understand the scale of the rebellion it would take to make anything change. And then understand that we are not organized enough, not energized enough, not educated enough to do that, and that all of that is very, very deliberate. At best we are capable of organizing regional protests and that. is. not. enough.

It’s called the crayola colorcycle program! As on its FAQ, they mention the following:

“Crayola ColorCycle will accept all brands of plastic markers, not just Crayola markers. That includes dry erase markers and highlighters! ColorCycle will eliminate placing hundreds of tons of markers into landfills.”

There do seem to be some limits, however, as far as I can tell, anyone can ship in a box of markers. “Any sturdy cardboard box with minimal outer markings will work. The more markers you ship, the more efficient this program will be. We suggest a minimum of 100 markers and a maximum of up to 40 pounds.”

Please read this. It's important. On August 7, Israel's security cabinet approved Netanyahu's plan to occupy the rest of Gaza and forcibly displace the population to the south, where they will be expelled from Palestine into other countries. This is a final push of the genocide.

Yesterday (August 20), Israel's military spokesperson announced mobilization of another 60,000 reservists and stated plainly "We have begin preliminary operations and the first stages of the attack on Gaza City." Al Jazeera reported that the Israeli military killed at least 81 Palestinians yesterday alone.

The cost of displacement is too high for my friend Mahrah and her family to manage, and the infrastructure and resources are already destroyed in the south where they are being forced under threat of death.

If the Israeli military can succeed in its occupation of Gaza, it will mean no shelter or safety for the rest of their lives.

@mahrahpalestine wrote to me, "Many consequences and indescribable feelings come with the risk of displacement and re-displacement. No one can imagine the difficult psychological state we are going through now: anxiety, fear, and tension."
