yeah i’m still talking about this but i have one more thought. if you look into a lot of ‘debunked’ carcinogens/toxins then you’ll find that the studies they cite don’t actually ever outright say “this substance is safe” but in fact they just conclude “we’re not sure, so we can’t say it isn’t.” for example if you google “is aluminum in deodorant safe” you’ll get so many headlines emphatically telling you Yes! so safe. that was a myth and you can all keep buying our products. then you actually read the articles and the study and well, it turns out aluminum DOES interact with hormones in your body, specifically estrogen. and yes estrogen being out of wack is a major risk factor for breast cancer. and the majority of women that developed breast cancer in that study used antiperspirant regularly and had elevated amounts of aluminum in their bodies, as opposed to the women who didn’t develop the disease. and the limit for aluminum consumption is regularly reached just by the micro amounts that exist in our food.

the only issue is they haven’t established a causal relationship between aluminum and breast cancer. which results in the myth that yes, aluminum is totally safe! even when it sounds like there’s a good chance it isn’t.

so… i implore you to think about who profits when either opinion is pushed. and just be conscious about how many “maybe”s you take in regularly.
