ICON'S ART BY ALVADEE.
ONE: hello! welcome to my info page. my name is emma (she/her) and i am a 24 year old brazilian roleplayer. english is not my mother language, so forgive any mistake you might find from time to time.
TWO: erik is not my original character, though i consider him my child. this portrayal is mainly based on the original novel by gaston leroux, though i do take a lot of inspiration from the stage musical. my main faceclaim is varied, since erik is masked, but mostly use stage musical aesthetics plus charles dance in the miniseries. i completely ignore the 2004 movie though i love it for nostagia, i simply do not like the take they used for the phantom himself.
THREE: please do not steal anything you find from this blog.
FOUR: roleplaying etiquette required. do not godmod, read my replies with attention and i will read yours! no force shipping, i love ships of all kind but i do not plan for that to be the main goal of this blog. erik is not a lovevable, romantic character except for christine, and i tend to keep it that way unless something truly special comes along !
FIVE: i will not interact with muses based on real life people, youtubers or anime characters. few exceptions can be made. if i soft block you, it means i am not interested in following your blog. nothing personal. please do not keep following and unfollowing to keep my attention because you will only get blocked in the process. BUT, i am so open to crossovers it's quite insane. about duplicates, i (of course!) don't have any problem with them. it's normal and appreciated because anyone who has erik as a muse has a great taste.
SIX: i will not engage or tolerate drama. any prejudice will be immediately unfollowed. callout culture is also not welcomed.
SEVEN: if you want to reblog a meme please send it first. if you don't want to send it, reblog it directly from the source. this is to keep my activity tab organized.
EIGHT: my activity tends to be slow sometimes, though i'm still very active considering it all. besides working as a teacher i am also a history major, so roleplay is a hobby for my free time. please do not bother me about replying fast. that kind of attitude will be answered with unfollow.
NINE: and lastly, when interacting i assume you've read the lore and the information about my character. if not, they are both available on pages down below! see you on the dashboard!
trigger warnings:
this blog will contain many depictions of violence, body horror, death, self harm and blood, if you are not comfortable with them, i recommend you step away. do not follow if under 18.
he took the golden ring from his deathly fingers fast, as if it burned his already tarnished skin. she said his name as if a question and the lord above knew it had him undone. the sound of christine's voice was the closest thing he ever dared to compare to god, for she was a vessel of heavenly things, of all that was considered pure in his eyes. she was his teacher and not the way around ! and if only she could see it now. could understand the words he'd said as the final testment of his faith. let the opera be damned ! there would be no explosion except for the beating of his heart, frantic underneath his many layers of clothing.
❝ freedom, my dear. to go. to leave... and to live. ❞ erik answered as he wept. poor, unhappy christine ! thinking herself doomed to his tartarus when the asphodel fields were what she deserved. it hurt his soul to see her so torn between what was wrong and the clearly right. he managed to stand up from the ground, taking her hand in his, a firm grip on a cold touch. ❝ you gave me something not even my mother could. i know now the meaning of it. of a kiss ! of love ! and the pains of loving and hurting what you love. it hurts me, christine. so, go. my tears are not for myself. ❞ but for the cage he had dared to impose on a rare bird. blood on such beautiful hands, those of hers.
@ycllowhaired / to anyone in the streets he was but a shadow in the night. walking from roof to roof, jumping like a cat - fast as wind, cape twirling as the wind wished it to. until a sound stopped him. a voice of a woman, a girl in fact, so far away but still loud enough for erik to hear. and then he looked over, moved by unknown curiosity, seeing a white shape ( just barely ) by the window, staring at the horizon. he hid, as he usually did when facing humanity - and opened his mouth, forcing voice to fly next to her ear in a whisper. ❝ why talk to yourself so late at night, mademoiselle? or perhaps are you talking to ghosts? ❞
CONFIDENTLY STUPID : you think you are the smartest person on earth as you put your spoon in the microwave to make it easier to scoop ice cream. you give awful advice that sounds smart when spoken but terrible when executed. you insist on doing things yourself and are so absolutely sure you are doing everything right. your confidence gives you charm, as well as the bravery to do the dumb things that you do.

I tore off my mask so as not to lose one of her tears… and she did not run away!…and she did not die!… She remained alive, weeping over me, weeping with me. We cried together! I have tasted all the happiness the world can offer.
so, as some of you know i'm a teacher and today i spoke about phantom of the opera to my students and showed them my phantom tattoo and it was great, except now they want to watch the 2004 movie and i was like. well. he's actually pretty in that one and they gasped.
𝙸 𝚁𝙴𝙼𝙰𝙸𝙽 𝚈𝙾𝚄𝚁 𝙾𝙱𝙴𝙳𝙸𝙴𝙽𝚃 𝚂𝙴𝚁𝚅𝙰𝙽𝚃, 𝙾𝙿𝙴𝚁𝙰 𝙶𝙷𝙾𝚂𝚃. independent, private and selective erik from gaston leroux's phantom of the opera. book based with high musical and susan key novel inspirations. written by emma.
in truth she had not been wholly sorry. she does not feel comforted here; it is dark, so dark, unfamiliar and frightening... and so very vast. christine does not dare entertain the possibility of walking through his home alone. the voice had promised to be her guide, her guardian — something she will hold to him now, though he is no angel nor ghost. christine will trust him to lead the way.
she watches silently as he stands, as if she were studying him. perhaps she was. for so long she had wished to put a face to the voice... it is an indescribable feeling to have seen him. there is both sheer elation and utter confusion.
his words offer her solace, thankfully. they would go for a walk, and they would be free of this mysterious place, at least for a little while. she moves to reach for her cloak, carefully placing it around her shoulders and cinching the tie.
they depart, and she follows him to the underground lake. this is more familiar than the inside of his home. he enters the gondola they had arrived in and, with some hesitance from christine, she carefully places her hand in his and joins him.
❝ is it always like this down here? blacker than night... ❞ her question comes suddenly, childishly. she belatedly pulls her hand back, realizing the touch had been lingering. she shrugs more deeply into her cloak, settling into her seat. his presence keeps her from truly becoming afraid. even still, that will not stop her from voicing her concerns aloud.
❝ it's as if it were from a story. ...do you not get lonely? it's so dark, so cold... i would be frightened if i were by myself. ❞
is his world always full of darkness? yes, it was. even when he could see the sun, erik was never fully allowed to feel it. not even in the attic he was left by his mother, or during the days in italy when things were blooming from seemingly better days. he knew she didn't know much - or anything, really - about him to know the deep memories such an innocent question stirred. still, he looked at her - fully looked at her, feeling her hand on his own and listening to the questioning with so many other images on his mind. between them all, it was christine that mattered the most.
❝ yes it is dark but, my dear christine, the rent in paris is very expensive ! those appartments that bring no art with their architecture, small, tiny boxes for rats ! what good is sunlight when there's no space for echoes, for song ? no, here i have my own eden... though yes, it does look more like hades, doesn't it? ❞ erik rambled, half-giggling between it. amused by his own joke. his hand reached to row the gondola away, the mist was not present now. the water was clear under them. it was dark, indeed, but he always thought the torches he always lit every morning looked like stars if one closes their eyes just enough. if the mind was open, if the fantasies were unwind...
❝ lonliness is safety for the likes of me, christine. i've known little else, and while it makes me mad, it is better than... outside. ❞ he said the last word with deep longing. a longing he could never fufill. not even she could do it. she was a small piece of a bigger puzzle. the puzzle of the wonders of the world ; none of which erik could reach. ❝ you, though, do not belong here. so if you feel frightened you may call for me . i shall rescue you from your troubles, even when i am part of your nightmares too. ❞
they reached the other side, and erik stood up, tying the gondola once more. he looked at her. so pretty. so - words left, and he looked away ashamed. his hand reached for hers before she could speak, and his pace was fast and hurried through the passages. ❝ no more night for you. at least for now. the moon is as beautiful as the sun ! you'll see ! ❞ he'd prove to her she could be happy during the night. that she wouldn't miss much, should she decide to stay. stay with him.
not me thinking about erik swimming in the opera's underground lake with his snorkles and the sound of his breathing in that thing being that of a sirens leading to philippe's accidental death by jumping into the lake and drowning.
❝ I have this thing where I get older, but just never wiser. ❞ the disfigured creature explained himself , holding back laughter, a sarcastic smirk gracing his thin, exposed mouth. behind his figure, a man laid unconcious - ALIVE, but unconcious, laying on cold stone of the alleyway. and of course, the persian fool had to find him in that position ! heavens be blessed. / @reverdies / sc.
❝ i’ll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife. ❞ erik bit out, hating her presence, the lasso already hiden underneath the many layers of clothing. preparing for the worst. though he detested having to murder women, especially the talented. / @stjusts / sc.
