I need your help really bad. My parents don't like the music I listen to (Bring me The Horizon,Of Mice & Men, Linkin Park, etc) and I don't what to do because the music helped me stay alive when I wanted to die but since they don't like it so I'm forced to listen to pop music. And I really like listening to the those bands because it's therapeutic for me & I like it. Can I get some advice on how to get them to let me listen to it ?? please🙏🏻

Hi... I know how you feel. At first my parents don’t like it either, but then I prove it to them that even though I listen to those kind of music, my life is good, I’m not a bad person, I could make them proud, and something like that. Just talk to them nicely, explain that those music makes you better just like pop music makes them better. I’m sure one day they will understand because no one could forced you to like something that you’re not interested to. I hope it helps! I went to The 1975 concert last week and it was extremely amazing! Glad to be this close to Matt Healy after standing in the rain for 10 hours.. it was worth it.
